2Install software
1. InserttheInstallationCDintoyourcomputer’sCD-ROM
drive.
If the autorun screen does not appear automatically:
OpenMy Computer.Doubleclickonthedrivethathas
theinstallationCDtolaunchsoftware.
OR
 OpentheCD-ROMdrive’sfolder,thenclickAutorun.exe.
nNote: A User Account Control message may appear
during installation for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users,
asking you to cancel or allow program authorization of the
software. Select the option to Allow for Windows Vista or Yes
to confirm for Windows 7, then continue to follow instructions.
2. ReadtheLicenseAgreementandclickthecheckboxto
accepttheterms,thenclickNext.

3. SelectInstall both driver and WLAN utilityorInstall
driver onlyandclickNext.
 IfyouselectInstall both,gotostep4.
 IfyouselectInstall driver only,skiptostep5.MicrosoftZero
Congurationwillbeusedtomanagewirelessnetworks.
4. SelectRalink Configuration ToolorMicrosoft Zero
Configuration Tooltocongureyourwirelessnetworks,
thenclickNext.

• Thecongurationtoolyouusecanbechangedafter
software installation.
• MicrosoftZeroCongurationisthedefaultnetworktool
and is installed on computers with Windows XP or later.

3Connect adapter
1. Screwantennaontotheadapter.
2. RemovetheUSBconnectorcapfromtheadapterand
connectittoaUSBportonyourcomputer.
nNote: If you plug the USB adapter in before installing
the software, click Cancel on the Found New Hardware
Wizard when it comes up and install from the CD (see
page 3).
3.Adjustantennaangle.

4Connect to network
Wireless LAN Utility:
Bydefault,theWLANUtilitystartsautomaticallywhen
youstartyourcomputerandconnectstotherstavailable
network.
To change to another network connection:
1. Rightclicktheicononthesystemtrayandselect
Launch Config Utility.TheWLANcongurationutility
screenappears.
2. IntheNetworktab,clickonthetargetnetwork.
3. ClickConnect.
4. Choosethesecuritytypeofyournetworkandtypeinyour
securitykey.
5. ClickOK.

Microsoft Zero Configuration:
1. Rightclickontheicononyoursystemtrayandselect
Use Zero Configuration as Configuration Utility.
2. Doubleclickon inyoursystemtray.
3. Alistofavailablewirelessnetworksappears.Selectthe
targetnetworkandclickConnect.
4. TheWirelessNetworkConnectiondialogboxappears.
Enterthesecuritykey,thenclickConnect.

workmanshipundernormalusebytheoriginalpurchaserforninety
