Installing Backup Batteries
Install two alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries (not 
included) in the bottom battery compartment, matching 
the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside. This 
provides backup power so your alarm clock can maintain 
the correct time during an AC power interruption.
Replacing Remote Control Battery
Remove the insulating plastic before using 
the remote.
If the remote control stops 
operating, or its control range 
decreases, replace the battery 
with a new CR2025 button cell 
battery with the positive (+) side 
facing up.
Battery Notes
• Keep button-cell batteries away from children. Swallowing 
a button-cell battery can be fatal.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not 
burn or bury batteries. 
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and 
recommended type. Do not mix batteries of different 
types, capacities, or chemistries.
Power Your Alarm Clock Radio
Plug the barrel plug of your AC adapter into the alarm 
clock radio’s jack, and plug the other end into an outlet.
Notes:
• Battery power is only for backup, and will not 
operate the iPod.
• The alarm will not sound when the alarm clock radio 
is disconnected from AC power and powered by the 
backup battery only.
• To prevent losing your settings, keep the AC power 
cord connected when replacing the batteries.
• To avoid injury, do not connect the adapter to a 
ceiling outlet.
Setting the Clock Time
1. Press TIME SET. The hour digits flash.
2. Rotate – SET + on the unit or press )or (on the 
remote to set the hour.
3. Press TIME SET to confirm the hour and move on 
to minutes.
4. Rotate – SET + on the unit or press ) or (on the 
remote until you reach the desired time.
5. Press TIME SET to confirm clock time.
Note: The clock uses a 12 hour format. PM appears 
below the time.
Setting the Alarm
1. Press AL1/AL2 or ALARM 1/2 on the remote 
once. » appears on the display.
2. Press AL SET on the unit or ALARM SET on the 
remote. The hour digits flash. Rotate – SET + or 
press ) or (until you reach the desired time.
3. Press AL SET to confirm and move on to minutes.

) or (until you reach the desired time.
4. Press AL MODE on the unit or ALARM MODE on 
the remote to select a wake-up mode: RADIO, iPod 
or BEEP.
5. Press AL SET or ALARM SET on the remote to 
confirm.
To set alarm 2, press AL1/AL2 on the unit or 
ALARM 1/2 on the remote again, and repeat steps 2-5again, and repeat steps 2-5 
when »appears on the display.
Notes:
• When the alarm sounds, press any button except 
SNOOZE/NAP on the unit or / on the remote 
to stop the alarm for 24 hours. This also stops the 
iPod, Aux or Radio playback.
• To check which alarm mode you currently have 
set, hold down AL MODE on the unit or ALARM 
MODE on the remote until the preset wake-up 
mode: RADIO, iPod or BEEP appears. Press AL 
MODE or ALARM MODE again to exit or it will exit 
automatically after 30 seconds.
• To wake up to iPod, your iPod must be properly 
docked and turned off. If your iPod is not docked, the 
alarm defaults to the Beep.
• When you set the wake-up mode to AM/FM radio, 
the station you last listened to will switch on.
• To deactivate the alarm, repeatedly press AL1/
AL2 oror ALARM 1/2 on the remote until » or 
» 
disappears.
SNOOZE /NAP and SLEEP
1. SNOOZE: When the alarm sounds, press 
SNOOZE/NAP once to stop for 9 minutes. » or 
» 
flashes in the snooze mode. The alarm sounds 
again after another 9 minutes. 
2. NAP: The nap function is similar to the alarm 
function. Repeatedly press SNOOZE/NAP to select 
a nap period of 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes before 
you turn on the unit. You can also press AL MODE 
to select the wake-up mode: RADIO, iPod or BEEP. 
To deactivate the nap feature, repeatedly press 
SNOOZE/NAP to select OFF.
3. SLEEP: You can set the unit to turn off 
automatically during iPod, Aux or Radio play. Press 
SLEEP repeatedly to select a time period of 15, 
30, 45, or 60 minutes. Or you can select OFF 
to deactivate the sleep feature. The unit turns off 
automatically when the time is due.
Docking/Charging Your iPod
Insert the cradle that fits your iPod model, then plug in 
your iPod. The table below shows cradle markings (on 
the back of the cradle) and iPod models. When the iPod 
is connected, it recharges except in the AM radio mode 
and the unit will automatically change to iPod mode and 
starts iPod playback. Use – VOLUME + and / to 
control the volume level.

• Keep your alarm clock radio dry; if it gets wet, 
wipe it dry immediately.
• Keep your alarm clock radio away from dust 
and dirt.
• Modifying or tampering with your alarm clock 
radio’s internal components can cause a 
malfunction and may invalidate the warranty.
• Handle your alarm clock radio carefully; do 
not drop it.
Limited Warranty
This product is warranted by RadioShack against manufacturing 
defects in material and workmanship under normal use for ninety 
(90) days from the date of purchase from RadioShack company-
owned stores and authorized RadioShack franchisees and dealers. 
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, RadioShack MAKES NO EXPRESS 
WARRANTIES AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING 
THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR 
PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE

ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty 
lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential 
damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. 
In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, take the 
product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase 
date to any RadioShack store. RadioShack will, at its option, 
unless otherwise provided by law: (a) correct the defect by product 
repair without charge for parts and labor; (b) replace the product with 
one of the same or similar design; or (c) refund the purchase price. 
All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is 
made, become the property of RadioShack. New or reconditioned 
parts and products may be used in the performance of warranty 
service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for 
the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for 
repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the 
warranty period. 
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or 
attributable to acts of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improper or 
abnormal usage, failure to follow instructions, improper installation 
or maintenance, alteration, lightning or other incidence of excess 
voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by a 
RadioShack Authorized Service Facility; (c) consumables such as 
fuses or batteries; (d) cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping 
or insurance costs; or (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up 
service adjustment or reinstallation.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have 
other rights which vary from state to state.
