3Install Software
1. TurnonyourcomputerandinserttheCD.
 For Windows Vista and Windows 7 users:clickmenu(or
Run Menu.exe.)
2. Whenthe1.3MP Webcam with Mic screenappears,clickthe
softwareyouwanttoinstall.
3. Followtheon-screeninstructions.
nNote: A User Account Control message may appear during 
installation for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, asking you to 
cancel or allow program authorization for the software. Select the 
option to Allow for Windows Vista or Yes to confirm for Windows 
7, then follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Whencomplete,theinstalledsoftwareiconsappearonyour
computerdesktop.
5. Restartyourcomputeraftersoftwareinstallation.

Click(ordoubleclick)oneoftheiconstolaunchthesoftware.
WebCam Companion 3
UseWebCam Companion3tocapturestillimagesandvideos,
monitorformovementandeditstillimages.
nNote: 
• Your computer must have Windows Media Player 9 or above 
to use WebCam Companion 3.
• WhilelaunchingWebCam Companion 3, wait until the Close button 
is activated (in white). Otherwise the software does not work.
Capturing Still Images and Videos
nNote: When using WebCam Companion 3 to capture 
video, do not set your image resolution higher than 1280 x 1024 
unless your computer meets the following minimum system 
requirements:
• CPU:IntelCore2E6550,2.33GHz(2CPUs)
• Memory:1.0GBRAM

Webcam Companion 3 canautomaticallycapturefootagewhen
yourwebcamdetectsmovement,andnotifyyouviae-mailorFTP.
