CHARGING THE WIRELESS CONTROL BOX

The Wireless Control Box contains a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. It is
strongly recommended to fully charge the battery for 3 hours before first use.
1To charge the Wireless Control Box plug the mini jack connector (of the
supplied mini jack to USB cable) into the socket on the ‘game’ side of the
Wireless Control Box.
2Plug the USB connector into a spare USB port on your PS3.
3The LED will glow red when charging. (Note: the PS3 must be turned on and
not in standby mode for the headset to charge).

1Connect the AV RCA Cable into the back of your PS3 console.
2Plug the USB connector attached to the Gioteck Wireless Receiver into an
available USB port on the front of your PS3 Console.
3Connect the Mini Jack end of the provided RCA/Mini Jack Cable into the
corresponding socket on the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
4Connect the AV RCA Cables RED/WHITE plugs into the corresponding sockets
of the RCA/Mini Jack Cable coming from the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
5Plug the yellow AUDIO connector into the Video IN socket of your TV/Monitor.
6Turn on your console and make sure that your controller is wirelessly
connected to your console (do not leave the controller charging or it may
transfer electrical noise into your headset)

7Turn the Wireless Control Box ON (The power switch is on the ‘game’ side of
the Wireless Control Box).
8Press and hold the mute button for 5 seconds.
9The Wireless Receiver (A) and Wireless Control Box (B) LEDs will flash
repeatedly until paired – solid LED.
10 Go to Settings > Accessory Settings > Audio Device Settings and select
EX-05 Headset (which will appear in the drop down menu) for both the Input
and Output. You will be able to hear yourself talking into the microphone
through the headset earcups. Set the desired volume level.
11 Go to Settings > Sound Settings > Audio Output Settings, choose Audio
Input Connector/ Scart / AV Multi.

PLAYSTATION 3 WITH HDMI CABLE
(HDMI Option 1)
1Connect the HDMI lead between the PS3 and your TV/Monitor.
2Connect the AV RCA cable into the back of your PS3.
3Plug the USB connector attached to the Gioteck Wireless Receiver into an
available USB port on the front of your PS3 Console.
4Connect the Mini Jack end of the provided RCA/Mini Jack Cable into the
corresponding socket of the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
5Connect the AV RCA Cables RED/WHITE plugs into the corresponding sockets
of the RCA/Mini Jack Cable coming from the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
You need the following cables for this set up option:

You need the following cable for this set up option:
1. HDMI CABLE (not supplied)
N.B. Your TV/monitor will need to have Audio Out (RED/WHITE) sockets. Most, but not all TVs/
Monitors have RED/WHITE Audio IN and YELLOW Video IN sockets but not all TV’s,and even
fewer monitors have RED/WHITE Audio OUT sockets!
1Connect the HDMI lead between your PS3 Console and TV/Monitor.
2Plug the USB connector attached to the Gioteck Wireless Receiver into an
available USB port on the front of your PS3 Console.
3Connect the Mini Jack end of the provided RCA/Mini Jack Cable into the
corresponding socket of the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
4Plug the RED/WHITE connectors (from the Mini Jack Cable coming from the
Gioteck Wireless Receiver) into the Audio OUT RED/WHITE sockets on your
TV/Monitor
Please note that you may need to make some adjustments to your TV/Monitor’s
settings to enable the audio to come through the headset (Consult your TV
manual)
Then proceed as HDMI Option 1, Instructions 6 –10.
