3-IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING SAFETY GUIDELINES BEFORE OPERATION
Safety measures
If you smell gas:
- Shut off gas to the appliance.
- Extinguish any open flame.
- If odour continues, immediately call your gas supplier or your fire Department.
Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapours and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
An LP cylinder not connected for use shall not be stored in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
WARNING:
Do not use the heater inside, guarantee its use outdoors or in widely ventilated areas, to avoid physical or material damages.
An amply ventilated area must have a minimum of 25% of the surface area open.
The surface area is the sum of the walls surface.
This appliance must be installed and the gas cylinder stored in accordance with the regulations on force.
Do not obstruct ventilation holes of the cylinder housing.
Do not move the appliance in operation or after it has been switched off without cooling.
Shut off the valve at the gas cylinder or the regulator before moving the appliance.
The recommended frequency for checking the hose (at least once a month and at each bottle change) and the need for a regular change if this
is indicated on the hose. If it shows signs of cracks, bites or other deterioration it should be replaced with a new flexible tube of the same
length and of equivalent quality.
Use only the type of gas and the type of cylinder specified by the manufacturer. The LP tank used with your patio heater must meet the
following requirements. Purchase LP tanks only with these required measurements: 310 mm x 595 mm (diameter x hight) with the maxi-
mum capacity of 13 kg of butane gas or 11 kg of propane gas (13 kg of propane gas in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Lux embourg).
Use only outdoors or in widely ventilated spaces. (See diagram.1)
In case of strong wind, special attention should be paid against tilting the device.
For a correct use of the appliance, the temperature of the surrounding environment must NOT be less than 0°C.
Do not install in vehicles or pleasure crafts.
Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified technician, using only original parts and always using the technical manual provided by
GlammFire.
Improper installation, adjustment, alteration can cause personal injury or property damage.
Do not attempt to alter the unit on any manner.
Never replace or substitute the regulator with any regulator other than the factory-suggested replacement.

The whole gas system, hose, regulator, pilot or burner should be inspected for leaks or damage before use, and at least annually by a
qualified service person.
All leak tests should be done with a soap solution. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
Do not use the heater until all connections have been leak tested.
Turn off the gas valve immediately if smell of gas is detected.
- Turn cylinder valve OFF. If the leak is at the hose/regulator connection: tighten connection and perform another leak test. If
bubles continue appearing should be returned to hose’s place of purchase.
- If the leak is at the Regulator/Cylinder valve connection: disconnect, reconnect; and perform another leak check. If you continue
to se bubbles after several attempts, cylinder valve is defective and should be returned to cylinder’s place of purchase.
Keep the ventilation opening of the cylinder enclosure free and clear of debris.
Do not paint the radiant screen. Control panel or top canopy reflector.
Control compartment, burner and circulation air passageways of the heater must be kept clean.
The LP tank should be disconnected when the heater is not in use.
Check the heater immediately if any of the following occurs:
- The heater does not reach temperature.
- The burner makes popping noise during use (a slight noise is normal when the burner is extinguished).
- Smell of gas conjunction with extreme yellow tipping of the burner flames.
The LP regulator/hose assembly must be located out of pathways where people may trip over it or in area where the hose will not be
subject to accidental damage.
Any guard or other protective device removed for servicing the heater must be replaced before operating the heater.
Adults and children should stay from high temperature surface to avoid burns or clothing ignition.
Children should be carefully supervised when they are in the area of the heater.
Clothing or other flammable materials should not be hung on the heater or placed on near the heater.
To change the gas cylinder in a amply ventilated area, away from any ignition source (candle, cigarettes, other flame producing appli-
ances; …);
To check that the regulator seal is correctly fitted and able to fulfill its function showed as photo right;
If it shows signs of cracking, splitting or other deterioration it shall be exchanged for new hose of the same length and of the equivalent
quality;
The use of this appliance in enclosed areas can be dangerous and is PROHIBITED;
Read the instructions before using this appliance. The appliance must be installed in accordance with the instructions and local regula-
tions.
Keep instructions for later reference.

4—INSTALLATION
ATTENTION: All installation procedures must be carried out by a qualified technician.
Heater must be placed on level firm ground.
Make sure that the installation follows all local safety and construction norms and regulations.
WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, repair or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Please
read the installation, operating and maintenance instructions carefully before installing or servicing this equipment.

Heater Installation Locations Safety Distances
Keep a minimum distance of 1 meter to the side and
at least 0.75 meters from the top.
The model heats up around within to a maximum
radius of 2.5 meters.

First, place the top part on the bot-
tom part so that the upper one en-
gages the lower being the inner
holes aligned.
Then use the supplied M8 screws to
secure the two parts through the
holes located inside the bottom part.

Insert the tubular glass in-
side the appliance through
the top opening.
Note: Make sure that the end of
the glass with the heat seal is
facing down.
To secure the tubular glass completely, use
the fixation frame and tighten it with the
help of three supplied M4 nuts.

Then place the heat diffuser, as shown in the im-
age below, using four supplied M4 nuts.
Place the protective grille and tighten using the
supplied M4 nuts.

Position the deflector and secure with the help of the four cap
nuts M6.
Note: Annually, you must clean all the components. In order to do
that, disassemble the model using the same procedure in a reverse
way. If any nut is stuck, use lubricant spray suitable for clearing.
5-TRANSPORTATION
To transport the appliance, tilt it slightly to the side of the
wheels. Use the hole located in the middle of the appliance
to place your hand and assist in the movement, as shown in
the image on the side.
Nota: Always turn off the appliance before transporting it and
do not tilt it more than 45 degrees.

7-ASSEMBLY
1. Propane only-proper hose connection. Ensure the hose does not contact any high temperature surfaces, or it may melt and leak causing a
fire.
2. After the cylinder is placed inside the heater, secure the cylinder with block belt tightly.
3. Leak Check
4. - A leak test must be performed annually and each time a cylinder is hooked up or if a part of the gas system is replaced.
- Never use an open flame to check for gas leaks. Be certain no sparks or open flames are in the area while you check for leaks. Sparks or open
flames will result in a fire or explosion, damage to property, serious injury, or death.
5. To protect heater from strong wind, anchor the base securely to the ground with screws (not supplied).
6-GAS REQUIREMENTS
- Use propane, butane or their mixtures gas only.
- The pressure regulator and hose assembly to be used must conform to local standard codes.
- The installation must conform to local codes, or in the absence of local codes, with the standard for the storage and handling of liquid petro-
leum gases.
- A dented, rusted or damaged tank may be hazardous and should be checked by your tank supplier. Never use a tank with a damaged valve
connection.
- The tank must be arranged to provide for vapor withdrawal from the operating cylinder.
- Never connect an unregulated tank to the heater.

9-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Synchronization Receiver (first time use only)
1.Insert batteries or connect AC mains power. With mains adapter,
batteries can be used for backup;
2.Place ON/OFF switch (if equipped) to ON position.
3.The receiver will read the remote control code: Momentarily
press the reset button on the controller until 2 beeps are heard.
After the second beep release the reset. 20 seconds later press the
"-" button on the control. Two beeps confirm that the remote
control is ready for use.
Note: This is a one time setting only, and it is not required after
changing the batteries in the handset or receiver.
NOTICE: The handset and receivers are not interchangeable with
previous electronics. Figure:Identification of the "Reset" button on the controller
8-LEAK TEST
-This must be before initial use, annually, and whenever any gas Components are replaced or serviced. Do not smoke while performing this
test, and remove all sources of ignition. See Leak Testing. Diagram for areas to check. Turn all burner controls to the off position. Turn gas
supply valve on.
-Brush a half-and-half solution of liquid soap and water onto all joints and connections of the regulator, hose, manifolds and valves.
-Bubbles will indicate a gas leak. Either tighten the loose joint or have the part replaced with one recommended by the Customer Care depart-
ment and have the patio heater inspected by a certified gas installer.
- If the leak cannot be stopped, immediately shut off the gas supply, disconnect it, and have the patio heater inspected by a certified gas in-
staller or dealer. Do not use the patio heater until the leak has been corrected.

9.1—REMOTE CONTROL
The remote control has the functions of switching the
appliance on/off and increasing/ reducing the flame.

Notice:
Wiring of valve and receiver must be completed
before starting ignition. Failure to do so could
damage the electronics.
The remote control and receivers are not inter-
changeable with previous electronics.

Without using a mains adapter, battery replacement is recommended at the beginning of each heating season.
Old or dead batteries should be removed immediately. If left in the unit the batteries can overheat, leak, and/or explode.
Do NOT expose batteries to direct sunlight, excessive heat, fire, moisture, or severe impact. Each of these conditions can
cause the batteries to overheat, leak, and/or explode.
Batteries must be kept within their recommended temperature limits (ambient battery temperature range: 32ºF to
131ºF/0ºC to 55ºC).
New and old batteries and different brands of batteries should not be used together. Mixing of various batteries can cause
the batteries to overheat, leak, and/or explode.

9.1.1—MODES OF OPERATION
Attention:
When the pilot ignition is confirmed,
the flame starts at the maximum.
TURN FIRE ON AND OFF
Press and hold the button until two short beeps confirm the
start sequence has begun; release button.
Main gas flows once pilot ignition is confirmed.
Press and hold the button to turn OFF.
STANDBY MODE (PILOT FLAME):
Press and hold the “-” button to set appliance to pilot flame.

FLAME HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
To increase flame height press and hold “+” button;
To decrease flame height or to set appliance to pilot flame,
press and hold “-” button.
DESIGNATED LOW FIRE AND HIGH FIRE
To go to high fire, double-click “+” button;
To go to low fire, double-click “-”button.
Note:
Flame goes to high fire first before going to low fire.

9.2-TO TURN OFF GAS TO APPLIANCE
If gas control is accessible turn main valve knob to the OFF full clockwise position.
AUTOMATIC TURN DOWN
3 Hours No Communication Function
The valve will turn to pilot flame if there is no communication between handset and receiver for a 3 hours period. The fire will continue to
function normally when communication is restored.
Receiver Overheating
Valve turns to pilot flame if the temperature in the receiver is higher than 140 ºF (60ºC). The main burner turns back on (manually or in Ther-
mostatic Mode) only when the temperature is below 140ºF (60ºC).
9.3-AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF
Low Battery Receiver
With low battery power in the receiver the system shuts off the fire completely. This will not happen if the power supply is interrupted.
On-Demand Pilot
When the appliance is inactive for an extended period of time the system automatically extinguishes the pilot. This feature helps the consumer
realize cost benefits by automatically eliminating energy consumption during non-heating months and limited use.
The programmed length of inactivity to activate the system is specified by the appliance manufacturer and cannot be altered in the field.
