Front View
➊LED Indicator Low Battery – Red
Charging amber – Amber
Fully charged – Green
Top View, Side View, and Bottom View
➊Menu button Press the Menu button to go back to Main menu.
➋Power button Press the Power button to enter sleep mode.
➌ Roll rock Roll up or down to adjust the volume.
➍ SD card slot Plug in the SD card after installing the Navigation
software, map data and applications provided.
➎ Reset button Press the reset button to reset the GV-560.
➏Earphone jack Plug in your earphone or headset to the earphone
jack if needed.
➐Mini USB port Connect the GV-560 to PC via the USB cable for
data transferring and battery charging.

Rear View
➊Power Switch Switch the switch to “OFF” to turn off the
GV-560 or to “ON” to turn on the GV-560.
The GV-560 will NOT be charged if the
power switch is switched to “OFF”.
➋External
Antenna Port Connect the external GPS antenna if needed.
The performance is guaranteed only by
using GPS antenna provided by Globalsat.

Chapter 2
Getting Started
Before using the GV-560, please charge the battery by connecting
the GV-560 to a PC or the AC adapter provided for more than 5
hours to get the best battery performance. Please note that the
power switch has to be switched to “ON”.
Making system memory card
Insert the SD card into a card reader and connect the card reader to
a PC. Insert the DVD provided into the DVD-ROM and the program
will run automatically. (If the autorun feature is disabled, please
run the program by double clicking the "auto.exe" in the DVD.)
Click “Make System Disk” button to download the application
software into SD card.

Select the disk drive of the SD card inserted, and then click the
“Start” button. After the downloading is finished, remove the SD
card and insert it into the GV-560.
Charging the GV-560
There are three methods to charge the GV-560.
zConnect the GV-560 and the car charger.
zConnect the USB cable to the GV-560 and your PC.
zConnect the GV-560 and theAC charger. (Optional)

Mounting the GV-560 on the windshield
Release
Lock
1. Place the GV-560 on the bottom of the cradle.
2. Push the GV-560 to the clip lock on the top of the cradle.
3. Clean your windshield with a lint-free cloth.
4. Place the suction cup on the windshield.
5. Flip the lever towards the windshield.
To remove the GV-560, flip the lever backwards and the pull the
tab on the suction.
Never pull on mounting arm to remove from glass.
For safety issues, please don’t mount the GV-560 in the front
of an airbag.

Chapter 3
Software Applications
Main Menu
Tap this icon to start the Navigation application.
Tap this icon to enter the media menu which contains
music player, video player, and photo viewer.
Tap this icon to enter the setup menu which contains
System Information, Power, Brightness, Region
Setting, About, and Screen.
Tap this icon to set the date and time.
Tap this icon to do power management settings.
Battery capacity is 75%~100%.
Battery capacity is 50%~75%.
Battery capacity is 25%~50%.
Battery capacity is below 25%.
Battery is charging.

Media Menu
Tap the Music icon to start the music player.
Tap the Video icon to start the Video player.
Tap the Photo icon to start the photo player.
Go back to Main Menu.

Setup Menu
Display the Flash memory capacity, SD card capacity,
the PCB version and the firmware version
information.
Show battery status. While charging, the battery
animation will be activated.
Change backlight brightness.
Set date, time, language, and time zone.
Show product information.
Calibrate touch screen.
Go back to Main Menu.

System Information
Go back to Setup Menu.
Brightness
Adjust backlight brightness and the default is level 4.
Cancel and go back to Setup Menu.
Save setting and go back to Setup Menu.

Power Management
Show battery status. While charging, the battery
animation will be activated.
Tap to check the box to enable power saving. If the
GV-560 is connected to the AC adapter, the power
saving will be disabled even you check this box.
Set the time for power saving.
Cancel and go back to Setup Menu.
Save the setting you made and go back to Setup
Menu.

Regional Setting
Set the time and date of your local area.
Set the date.
Select the language of the system.
Set the time zone.
Cancel and go back to Setup Screen.
Save the setting you made and go back to Setup
Screen.

Screen
Touch the cross icon on the screen by using the
stylus until the calibration is done, and then tap on
the screen to save the setting or wait for 30 seconds
to discard the calibration.

Go back to the Setup Menu.

Music Player
Tap this icon to play the next song.
Tap this icon to play the the song.
Tap this icon to pause the song.
Tap this icon to play the previous song.
Tap this button to stop playing.
Play the songs in the order of the playlist.
Shuffle the playlist.
Play the songs in the playlist once.
Continuously play the songs in the playlist.
Edit playlist.
Go back to Media Menu.
