PROPER GROUNDING
THIS MACHINE IS PROVIDED WITH A THREE-PRONG GROUNDING PLUG. THE
OUTLET TO WHICH THIS PLUG IS CONNECTED MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED. IF THE RECEPTACLE
IS NOT THE PROPER GROUNDING TYPE, CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUM-
STANCES, CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD GROUND PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD OR USE ANY

1. Readthismanualthoroughlybeforeinstallationandoperation.DONOTproceedwithinstallationand
operationifyouhaveanyquestionsordonotunderstandanythinginthismanual.Contactyourlocal
representativeorGloberst.
2. Removethegrillfromthebox.Onceyourgrillhasbeenremovedfromthepackaging,becertainthatall
protectiveplasticsandresiduesareremovedfromallsurfaces.
3. Selectalocationforthegrillthathasalevel,solid,nonskidsurfacethatisnonammableandaway
fromwaterhazardsorsinks,andisinawell-lightedworkareaawayfromchildrenandvisitors.
4. Inspectthegrilltoensureallpartshavebeenprovided(i.e.-catchtrayandfeetx4).
5. TheinstallationofthegrillmustconformtotheNATIONALELECTRICCODEANDALLLOCALELECTRIC
CODESANDORDINANCESANDALLTHELOCALELECTRICALCOMPANYRULESANDREGULATIONS.
Additionallywerecommendthatthegrillisalloweda4”spacingsurroundingtheunitinordertoprovide
adequateventilation.

7. Properconnectionsandpowersupplyareessentialforefcientperformance.
8. Theexternalwiringshouldbeinconduitoranapprovedtypeofexiblecablesuitableforoperationat
temperatureindicatedattheconduithole,andinapropersizetocarrytheload.
9. Thesupplycircuitshouldbeproperlyfusedandequippedwithameansofdisconnecting,asrequiredbythe
localelectricalcode.Foragrillwithplugsandleadsset,simplyprovideasuitablepowerpoint
andconnect.
TheGlobeelectricpanini/sandwichgrillisequippedforthevoltageindicatedonthe
nameplatemountedontherearoftheunit.Thispanini/sandwichgrillisdesignedforuse
onalternatingcurrent(AC)only.
ThisequipmentgetsEXTREMELYHOTsomakesureallammable/combustible
materialsaresetawayfromthisequipment.
NOTE:PaniniandSandwichGrilltopplatetensioncanbeadjustedwiththeincludedallenwrench.Ajusttolifting

Installfeetbyscrewingeachfootintothethreadedopeningsonthebottomofthegrill.Failuretouse
feetwillvoidwarrantyandcouldcauseunsafeconditions.
Leveling
Levelunitbyadjustingthefourfeetandtightensecurely.Theadjustablefeethaveanadjustmentofoneinchfor
lineupwithotherGlobecountertoplines.Checkthefeetevery60daystoensuretheyaretight.
Assembly
Takethewastetrayandslideintotherunnersbelowtheelementsandplaceintotherack.Onceinposition,the
wastetraywillcatchanyfoodproductcrumbs,greaseordrippings.
COMMISSIONING:
Commissioningofyournewgrillisoftheutmostimportance.Commissioningisthethoroughandmethodicaltesting
oftheequipment,subsystems,andsystemstoensurethatthenalproductfunctionsproperlyandsafelyatthe
worksite.Byidentifyinganypotentialproblems(i.e.:equipmentlocation,ventilation,localre/electricalcodes,
installation,operatortrainingandcertication)priortoequipmentbeingplacedintoservice,costlyoutagesand
potentialdamagesmaybeavoided.

• Globetakeseverycaretoensurethatallproductsaresafe.Steelcuttingproceduresusedtomanufacture
theseitemsresultinsharpedges.Thesesharpedgesareremovedtothebestofourability;however,we
insisttheoperatortakecarewhenincontactwiththispieceofequipment.
• Duringoperationthegrillreacheshightemperatures,inturn,heatinganystainlesssteelsurfaces.
Takeextremecarewhenoperating.Onlyhandlethegrillbyits’handlestoeliminateaccidents.
• Switchoffpoweranddisconnectfromthemain/wallplugforcleaning.
• Allowthegrilltocooldownafteruseandbeforedismantlingforcleaning;theunitwillbetoohotto
handleimmediatelyafteruse.
• TheGlobegrillisequippedforthevoltageindicatedonthenameplatemountedontherearof
theunit.Thisgrillisdesignedforuseonalternatingcurrent(AC)only.

Beforeoperatinggrill,itshouldbecheckedtoseethatitissittinglevel.Adjustthefeettolevelthegrill.Besurethe
catchtrayhasbeenproperlyplaced.
Wipeawayallthepetroleumoilthatiscoveringtheplates.Thisisonlyaprotectantforshipping.Wipeawayas
muchasyoucanandthenheatuptheunittoburnofftheremainingoil.Oncetheexcesspetroleumoilisburned
away,useapumicestone,grillstoneorstainlesssteelbrushcanbeusedtobrushawaytheburntoil.
Allow 20-40 minutes for Grilling plates to heat up.
NOTE: Upon rst use, grill may omit a metal-burning smell.
This is normal and smell will regress with use.
Season the surface:
Thepanini/sandwichgrillshaveacastironcookingsurface.Seasonthesurfacewithvegetableoil.
Cleanthecookingsurfacethoroughly.Afterthecookingsurfacehasbeenthoroughlycleaned,itshouldbe
seasonedtopreventfoodfromsticking.Beforeusing,andafteruse,thoroughlyscourandseasonthecooking
surfacebyheatingthesurfaceinthefollowingmanner:
1. AdjusttheOn/Offswitchtothe“On”positionandadjustthetemperaturecontroldialto350°F.
2. Useacleancloth,notaspatula,andspreadathinlmofcookingoilorfatoverthegrillcookingsurface.
Thislmshouldremainonthehotgrillfor30minutes.
3. Removetheexcessoil/fatandwipeclean.ThegrillsurfacewillbeHOT.
4. Applyanotherlmofcookingoilorfatoverthehotcookingsurfaceforanother30minutesand,again,
removetheexcessoil/fatandwipeclean.ThegrillsurfacewillbeHOT.
Thegrillsurfaceisnowreadyforuse.
EVENWITHCAREFULSEASONING,FOODMAYSTICKTOTHEGRILLCOOKINGSURFACEUNTILTHE
GRILLPLATEIS“BROKENIN”.
Temperature Control
Thetemperatureisthermostaticallycontrolled.BesuretheOn/Offswitchinswitchedinthe“On”positionand
adjustthethermostatdialtothedesiredsetting.NOTE:Consideralowerheatforgrillingmeats(360°F-430°F)
Cooking
1. AdjusttheOn/Offswitchtothe“On”position.
2. Setthethermostatdialknobatthedesiredtemperature.
3. Afterashortpreheatingperiod,thethermostatwillautomaticallymaintaintheselectedtemperature.
4. Whenthesettemperaturedesiredismet,theindicatorlightwillde-illuminate.
5. Ensurethegrillisonandhasmetthedesiredtemperature.
6. Usingthehandle,raisethetopofthegrilltoexposethetopofthegrillplate.
7. Placethefoodproductontothegrilland,usingthehandle,lowerthetopgrillplatedownontothe
foodproduct.
8. Aftereachtimethegrillisloaded,withacloth,papertowelorspecialspatula,pushtheexcessgrease
intothecatchtray.Ifnecessary,emptythegreasereceptaclebeforeyouresumegrilling

• ALWAYSunplugthegrillbeforecleaning.

RECOMMENDED CLEANING
Ittakesverylittletimeandefforttokeepthegrillattractiveandperformingattopefciency.Ifgreaseispermitted
toaccumulate,itwillformagummycakeandthencarbonizeintoahardsubstancethatisextremelydifcultto
remove.Topreventthiscondition,pleasefollowthecleaningstepsbelow:

defectsinmaterialorworkmanshipforaperiodof1year.Thelaborwarrantyisoneyearfromoriginalinstallation
or 18 months from actual factory shipment date whichever date occurs rst. Warranty includes onsite service
