Unpacktheinductionrangeimmediatelyafterreceipt.Ifthemachineisfoundtobedamaged,savethepackaging
materialandcontactthecarrierwithinfteen(15)daysofdelivery.ImmediatelycontactGlobeoryourlocaldealer
oftheequipment.You have no recourse of damage after fteen (15) days.

PROPER GROUNDING
THIS MACHINE IS PROVIDED WITH A THREE-PRONG GROUNDING PLUG. THE OUTLET TO WHICH THIS
PLUG IS CONNECTED MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED. IF THE RECEPTACLE IS NOT THE PROPER
GROUNDING TYPE, CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR
REMOVE THE THIRD GROUND PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD OR USE ANY ADAPTER PLUG (Fig. 5-1
and Fig. 5-2).

INSTALLATION
1. Readthismanualthoroughlybeforeinstallationandoperation.DONOTproceedwithinstallationand
operationifyouhaveanyquestionsordonotunderstandanythinginthismanual.Contactyourlocal
representativeorGloberst.
2. Removetheinductionrangefromthebox.Onceyourinductionrangehasbeenremovedfromthe
packaging,becertainthatallprotectiveplasticsandresiduesareremovedfromallsurfaces.
4. Inspecttheinductionrangetoensureallpartshavebeenprovided,ifapplicable.
3. Selectalocationfortheinductionrangethathasalevel,solid,nonskidsurfacethatisnonammableandaway
fromwaterhazardsorsinks,andisinawell-lightedworkarea.
5. Installtheinductionrangeinitslocationwithatleast5''betweentheapplianceandwallsorotherobjects.
6. Properconnectionsandpowersupplyareessentialforefcientperformance.
ThisequipmentgetsEXTREMELYHOTsomakesureallammable/combustible
materialsaresetawayfromthisequipment.
COMMISSIONING:
CommissioningofyournewInductionrangeisoftheutmostimportance.Commissioningisthethoroughand
methodicaltestingoftheequipment,subsystems,andsystemstoensurethatthenalproductfunctionsproperly
andsafelyattheworksite.Byidentifyinganypotentialproblems(i.e.:equipmentlocation,ventilation,localre/
electricalcodes,installation,operatortrainingandcertication)priortoequipmentbeingplacedintoservice,costly

Operating the Induction Range
Beforeoperatingtheinductionrange,checktoseethatitissittinglevel.
NOTE: Upon rst use, induction range may produce a metal-burning smell.
This is normal and smell will dissipate with use.

COOKING:
1. Connecttheappliancetothepoweroutlet.
2. Oncetherangeisproperlyconnected,theunitwillbeeponceandthelightnexttoON/OFFbuttonwillilluminateindicating
powerhasbeenappliedtotheunit.
NOTE:Ifthepowerindicatorlightisnotilluminatedandtheunitispluggedin,checkthepowercordconnection.
3. Placesuitablecookwareontothecenteroftherange.
NEVERplaceemptycookwareontheappliance.
NOTE:Thecooktop’ssurfacewillnotheatupifthewrongtypeofcookwareisappliedorthereisnocookware
placedontheunit.
NOTE:Theinductionrangewillautomaticallypowerdownifthereisnofunctionaloperationwithin2hours.
4. Set‘Heat’,‘TEMP’,andifdesired,‘TIMER’.
A.PresstheON/OFFbuttononetime.The‘HEAT’indicatorlightwillbeginashing
B.Press“FUNCTION”
C.Set‘Heat’(HeatistheamountofpowerinWATTSappliedtothecookware.)
D.Togglefrom/between‘Heat’,‘Temp’,and‘Timer’settings.Thelightindicatornexttoeach
functionwillilluminatetoindicatewhichfunctionisreadytobeset.
NOTE: PresstheUP/DOWNbuttonsrepeatedlytosetthetimer.Or,tomovequicklythroughthetimer,pressandholdthe
UPORDOWNbutton.
SetHEAT:Function>Heat=CookingPowerinWATTS(lightwillbeilluminatednexttotheselection).
UPorDOWN“ or ”.Thedefaultpowerofheatingis1200W.Adjustthepowerratefrom500W-1800W.
SetTEMP:Function>Temp(F)(lightwillilluminatenexttotheselection)>UPorDOWN“ or ”.
Thedefaulttemperatureis200°.Adjustthetemperaturefrom140°to460°.
SetTIMER:Function>Timer(lightwillilluminatenexttotheselection)>UPorDOWN“ or ”.
Adjustthetimerfrom0-180minutesinincrementsof5.
Timer OFF: IftheTIMERisnotset,theinductionrangewillproperlyfunctionin‘ON’modeuptotwohours.
5.Timer ON:
IMPORTANT: Inorderforthetimertoberunning,the‘Timer’Indicatorlightmust be illuminated.
A.Usethefunctionkeytonavigatetothetimerselectionandselectatime.
B.Oncethedesiredtimehasbeenselected,lettherangetimeandindicatorlightsblinkuntiltheyilluminatesolid
ontheirown.Nowyourtimerisset.
Oncethetimerhasreached“0”,theinductionrangewillbeeponceindictingtimehasendedandtherangeispoweringdown.
IMPORTANT: Theinductionrangewillshutoffautomaticallyafterthe‘TIMER’reaches“0”.Thecooktopwillpowerdown,the
fanwillcooltheunit/parts,andthefanwillshutoff.Repeatoperations1-4toturntherangebackon.
6. Turn‘OFF’therangeand/ordisconnectpowertotheunitafteruse.
Aftercooking/warmingiscomplete,presstheON/OFFbuttontoturnofftheunit.Therangewillstopheating,thefanwill
cooldowntheunitandthenshutoff.Thepowerindicatorlightwillremainilluminated.
Aslongasthe‘ON/OFF’indicatorlightisilluminated,thereispower/currentowingtotheunit.Unplugtheinductionrange
completelytodisconnectthepowertotheunit

wheninstalledinaccordancewithourinstructionswithinNorthAmericaandsubjectedtonormaluse,isfreefrom
defectsinmaterialorworkmanshipforaperiodof1year.Thelaborwarrantyisoneyearfromoriginalinstallation
or18monthsfromactualfactoryshipmentdatewhicheverdateoccursrst.UnitmustbesentprepaidtoGFEfor
repair.Nomileageortraveltimeispaid.
