Unpacktheinductionrangeimmediatelyafterreceipt.Ifthemachineisfoundtobedamaged,savethepackaging
materialandcontactthecarrierwithinfteen(15)daysofdelivery.ImmediatelycontactGlobeoryourlocaldealer
oftheequipment.You have no recourse to damage after fteen (15) days.

PROPER GROUNDING
THIS MACHINE IS PROVIDED WITH A THREE-PRONG GROUNDING PLUG. THE OUTLET TO WHICH THIS
PLUG IS CONNECTED MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED. IF THE RECEPTACLE IS NOT THE PROPER
GROUNDING TYPE, CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR
REMOVE THE THIRD GROUND PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD OR USE ANY ADAPTER PLUG (Fig. 5-1
and Fig. 5-2).

INSTALLATION
1. Readthismanualthoroughlybeforeinstallationandoperation.DONOTproceedwithinstallationand
operationifyouhaveanyquestionsordonotunderstandanythinginthismanual.Contactyourlocal
representativeorGloberst.
2. Removetheinductionrangefromthebox.Onceyourinductionrangehasbeenremovedfromthe
packaging,becertainthatallprotectiveplasticsandresiduesareremovedfromallsurfaces.
4. Inspecttheinductionrangetoensureallpartshavebeenprovided,ifapplicable.
3. Selectalocationfortheinductionrangethathasalevel,solid,nonskidsurfacethatisnonammableandaway
fromwaterhazardsorsinks,andisinawell-lightedworkareaawayfromchildrenandvisitors.
5. Installtheinductionrangeinitslocationwithatleast5''betweentheapplianceandwallsorotherobjects.
6. Properconnectionsandpowersupplyareessentialforefcientperformance.
ThisequipmentgetsEXTREMELYHOTsomakesureallammable/combustible
materialsaresetawayfromthisequipment.
COMMISSIONING:
CommissioningofyournewInductionrangeisoftheutmostimportance.Commissioningisthethoroughand
methodicaltestingoftheequipment,subsystems,andsystemstoensurethatthenalproductfunctionsproperly
andsafelyattheworksite.Byidentifyinganypotentialproblems(i.e.:equipmentlocation,ventilation,localre/
electricalcodes,installation,operatortrainingandcertication)priortoequipmentbeingplacedintoservice,costly
outagesandpotentialdamagesmaybeavoided.

• Donotplacemetallicobjectssuchasknives,forks,spoons,lids,cansandaluminumfoilon,ornear,thetop
glassplate.
• Allowsufcientspacearoundthecookingareaandalwaysplaceunitonlevelatsurface.Donotblockthe
air-intakepanelasthismaycauseunittooverheat.Keepunitaminimumof5''fromwall,orotherequipment
orobstructionsforproperventilation.
• Neveruseorplacetheunitonlow-heat-resistantorammablematerials(carpet,vinyl,paper,orfabric).
• Donoteverplaceanypaperbetweenthecookingpanandthecookingplateasthepapercouldignite.
• Whenstoring,DONOTplaceanyobject(s)ontopoftheinductionrange.Thiscouldcausedamagetocooking
surfaceorunit.
• Anyitemswithamagneticeld(suchas,radios,televisions,automatic-bankingcardsandcassettetapes)can
affecttheunit.

Operating the Induction range
Beforeoperatinginductionrange,itshouldbecheckedtoseethatitissittinglevel.
NOTE: Upon rst use, induction range may produce a metal-burning smell.
This is normal and smell will regress with use.

1.Connecttheappliancetothemainpowersupply.Abeepwillsoundandthedisplaywillbrieylightup.
2.Placesuitablecookwareontothecenteroftheglassplate.
NOTE: NEVERplaceemptycookwareontheappliance.
3.PresstheOn/OffbuttontoturntheapplianceOn.
4.PresseithertheHEATorTEMPbutton,dependingonyourcookingrequirements.Thecorrespondingindicator
lightcomeson.
NOTE: Ifyoudesiretomaintainaconstanttemperatureduringcooking,usetheTEMPsettings.Tocookata
specicpowerlevel,usetheHEATsettings.
5.PresstheUPorDOWNbuttonsrepeatedlytoreachthedesiredsetting.Thissettingcanbechangedatanytime
duringthecookingprocess.

8.Abeepwillsoundwhenthecookingtimehasnished,andtheapplianceswitchestostandbymode.
9.Aftercookingiscompleted,presstheON/OFFbuttonagaintoturnofftheunit.

wheninstalledinaccordancewithourinstructionswithinNorthAmericaandsubjectedtonormaluse,isfreefrom
defectsinmaterialorworkmanshipforaperiodof1year.Thelaborwarrantyisoneyearfromoriginalinstallation
or18monthsfromactualfactoryshipmentdatewhicheverdateoccursrst.UnitmustbesentprepaidtoGFEfor
repair.Nomileageortraveltimeispaid.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OFALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. GFE
