General Safety
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
injury.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced, physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
2) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a
power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may
result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position when not
operating the tool and make use of other safety features which prevent unintentional
starting
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or
a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection
facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can
reduce dust-related hazards.

useful information even for domestic use of tools. In the first instance of feeling uncomfortable
due to vibration STOP using the tool immediately.
WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the
time of exposure if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable even with ear protection stop
using the tool immediately and check the ear protection is correctly fitted and provides the
right level of sound attenuation for the level of sound produced by your tool.
3) Use and care
a) Maintain tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect the tool’s operation. If damaged, have
the tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
b) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
c) Use the tool’s accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of
the tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
4) Service
a) Have your tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the tool is maintained.
Internal Combustion Engine Safety
Dangerous environment
• DO NOT use petrol tools in damp or wet conditions, or expose them to rain. Provide
adequate surrounding work space and keep area well lit.
• DO NOT use petrol tools where there is a risk of explosion or fire from combustible
material, flammable liquids, flammable gases, or dust of an explosive nature
Switch off
• Ensure that the engine has stopped before attaching any accessories to the tool
• If the tool stops unexpectedly ensure that the power is switched off and the engine is not
running before attempting to check the tool
Running-in the engine
• New tools should be used at moderate speed
• DO NOT maintain high engine speed until the engine is completely run-in
• The engine will not be capable of developing maximum power until the end of the
running-in period
• When first using the tool, periodically stop and check that all nuts and screws are securely
fastened and tighten them as necessary
• DO NOT use fuels containing methanol or ethanol, as these may cause internal damage
to the fuel tank and fuel lines
Warning
• NEVER leave the tool running unattended
• NEVER leave the machine unattended when parts are still hot
• ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher close by when operating combustion engines
Servicing
• We recommended that your tool is serviced shortly after its first use
• In normal use, have the tool serviced regularly
• DO NOT modify any of the components of this tool. To do so would invalidate your
guarantee, and could result in injury to yourself or others around you
• ALWAYS have your tool serviced at an authorized service centre

Storage
• Clean the tool completely after use
• Be careful not to damage the fuel tank, or fuel lines, when it is placed on the ground
• Ensure that the tool will not be subject to impact damage; any damage could cause the
tool to become unsafe
• Store the tool away from direct sunlight
• Ensure that fuel and oil is stored in a safe place, away from heat, direct sunlight or any
source of ignition
• Whenever the machine is likely to be out of use for an extended period of time, proceed
as follows:
• Empty the fuel tank completely
• Protect all metal engine parts from corrosion by coating them with oil
• Remove the spark plug, put a few drops of oil into the cylinder and then pull the recoil
starter 2 to 3 times in order to distribute the oil evenly
• Replace the spark plug
• Never store the machine where children may gain access to it

Blower Safety
• Never use for vacuuming heavy, dense, sharp, or flammable materials such as metal,
stones, branches, fir cones, glass, barbecue coals, cigarette ends, dust or gravel
• Never use for vacuuming liquids
• Never operate close to an open fire
• Always keep the air inlets clear of debris and check the inlets immediately if the tool is
getting hot
• Never insert your hands or fingers into any openings while the tool is running or
connected to a live mains supply
• The noise levels generated in use may be a nuisance to neighbours. Consider neighbours
when operating Intended Use
Petrol-powered blower vacuum suitable for blowing and vacuuming lightweight, dry garden
waste such as leaves, grass cuttings, clippings and litter. Suitable for domestic use only.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your new tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features and
functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing
or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool
Before Use
WARNING: Ensure the spark plug lead is disconnected before attaching or changing any
accessories, or making any adjustments, to prevent accidental starting.
Blower tube assembly
1. Carefully place the Blade Housing (9) on a secure, flat surface with the blade opening
facing upwards
2. Remove the fixing screws from the Upper Blower Tube (7) using the Phillips head
screwdriver feature of the Spark Plug Combi Tool (1) (Image A), and place the screws in a
secure location.

3. Remove the two fastening screws located above and below the blade opening on the
Blade Housing (Image B), and ensure that the nuts do not fall from the other side
4. Slot the recessed end of the Upper Blower Tube into the corresponding part of the Blade
Housing
5. Insert and fasten the four screws that were removed in steps 2 and 3. The screws
removed in step 2 should now be inserted through the lower part of the blade opening
(Image C)
6. Repeat steps 2 and 4 for inserting the Lower Blower Tube (6) into the Upper Blower Tube
7. Fasten the two screws located on the upper and lower portion of the opening of the Upper
Blower Tube to fix the Lower Blower Tube into place (Image D)
Attaching the debris collector
1. Unfasten the hook and loop strap at the opening of the Debris Collector (13) to loosen
the opening
2. Pull the opening of the Debris Collector over the Debris Collector Flange (11),
tighten the hook and loop strap, and fasten to secure the Debris Collector to the leaf
blower (Image E)
Attaching the shoulder strap
WARNING: Do not use the leaf blower without the Shoulder Strap (12).
• Attach the Shoulder Strap to the shoulder strap mounting point located just in front of the
Ignition Switch (14)
Preparing 2-stroke mix
Note: This blower vacuum is powered by a 2-stroke engine that requires a petrol/oil mixture
as fuel.
WARNING: ALWAYS use dedicated fully synthetic 2-stroke oil. DO NOT use regular engine
oil for 2-stroke mix.
1. Use a suitable 2-stroke fuel mixing bottle to measure the required amount of oil, see
mixing chart below
WARNING: DO NOT pour oil directly into the Fuel Tank (22). The 2-stroke mix needs to be
prepared and thoroughly mixed in a separate container, prior to being poured into the trimmer.
2. Pour the required amount of 2-stroke oil followed by unleaded petrol into the Fuel Mixing
Bottle, close and shake until thoroughly mixed
Note: 2-stroke mix must not be stored long-term. ONLY mix the amount required for
immediate consumption. Refer to the ‘Storing Fuel’ section for further information.
Filling with fuel
WARNING: Danger of fire and burn injuries. Take extra care when fuelling this machine.
WARNING: NEVER fill with fuel whilst the engine is running. Switch off the engine and wait
until it has cooled before refuelling.
WARNING: ONLY refuel the hedge trimmer outdoors, in well-ventilated areas.
WARNING: ALWAYS open the fuel tank carefully to allow potential pressure build-up inside
the tank to release slowly. Never open the fuel tank while the engine is running.
• Always use extreme care when handling fuel. Fuel is highly flammable
• Never attempt to fuel the hedge trimmer if the fuel system components are damaged or
are leaking
• Never attempt to refuel the engine while it is running or still warm; allow it to cool before
fuelling
• Never smoke or light fires near the hedge trimmer or fuels
• Always transport and store fuels in an approved container
• Never place flammable material close to the engine exhaust
• Do not use petrol which contains ethanol or methanol as it may damage the fuel lines and
other engine parts
• Mix only enough fuel for immediate needs. If fuel must be stored longer than 30 days, it
should first be treated with a stabiliser or similar product
1. Premix the fuel in the Fuel Mixing Bottle (2), following the guidelines under ‘Preparing
2-stroke mix’
2. Place the unit on a secure, flat surface and wipe away any debris from around the
Fuel Cap (23)
3. Unscrew the Fuel Cap and pour the mixture into the tank with the aid of a funnel
Note: Be careful not to spill any of the fuel mixture. If this happens, wipe the spill with
a clean rag.
• In order to avoid risk of fire, start up the engine at least three metres away from the area
where the Fuel Tank has been filled
Operation
Direction control
WARNING: ALWAYS wear eye protection, adequate respiratory and hearing protection,
as well as suitable gloves, when working with this tool.
WARNING: The blade will continue to move for a few seconds after the engine has
been stopped.
Running in the engine
Note: During run-in and cold starts in colder climates it may be necessary to change the fuel/
oil ratio to 25:1.
• During the first five hours of use, run the engine at a moderate speed
• The engine will reach its maximum power output at the end of the run-in period
Switching on/off
1. Press the ignition switch into the ‘I’ position, towards the Front Handle (10) (Image F)
2. If the engine is being started from cold, move the Choke Lever (20) into the ‘closed’
position for starting (Image G)
3. Press the Primer Bulb (21), approximately three times, until the bulb is filled with fuel
(Image H)
4. Pull the Recoil Starter (26) two or three times until the engine starts
Note: It may be required to pull the Recoil Starter more, depending on the ambient
temperature and the fuel status.
Note: If starting problems persist, move the choke into the ½ closed position to prevent the
engine from flooding.
5. Move the Choke Lever into the ‘open’ position by pushing the lever down to the end of its
travel
6. Allow the engine to run at idle for ten seconds to allow the engine to warm up
• To switch the leaf blower off, press the Ignition Switch (14) into the ‘Stop’ position
• To operate the leaf blower, squeeze the Throttle Trigger (15)

Operating as a blower
1. Move the Mode Selector (8) into the upright position (Image I)
2. Grip the vacuum blower by both the Front Handle (10) and the Rear Handle (16), and
point directly at the garden waste
3. Use the Throttle Trigger (15) to adjust the power of the leaf blower
4. Sweep the unit gently from side to side, blowing the debris into one location
Note: Ensure the end of the Lower Blower Tube (6) is always at least 150mm above the
ground when operating as a blower.
Operating as a vacuum shredder
1. Move the Mode Selector (8) into the horizontal position (Image J)
WARNING: Ensure the Mode Selector is not halfway between the blower and vacuum
shredder selections as this could cause damage to the unit.
2. Grip the vacuum blower by both the Front Handle (10) and the Rear Handle (16) and
point directly at the garden waste
3. Use the Throttle Trigger (15) to adjust the power of the leaf blower
• Sweep the unit gently from side to side as it sucks up the debris, or lightly rest the Wheels
(3) on the ground to vacuum the garden waste
• Use the zip on the Debris Collector (13) to empty the contents from within
Note: Ensure the Debris Collector is securely attached to the unit.

Maintenance
WARNING: Ensure the spark plug lead is disconnected before attaching or changing any
accessories, or making any adjustments, to prevent accidental starting.
WARNING: ALWAYS wear adequate personal protective equipment, including eye
protection and oil/fuel-resistant, cut-proof gloves, when carrying out maintenance on this leaf
blower. ALWAYS ensure proper ventilation.

WARNING: Maintenance not covered by this manual MUST be carried out by an authorised
GMC technician. Attempting such maintenance or repairs will void the warranty.
Cleaning the air filter
WARNING: Never run this tool without the air filter element fitted, as this will lead to rapid
wear of internal components, causing permanent engine damage and shortening the service
life of this tool.
1. Remove the Air Filter Cover (17) from the Air Box (18) by squeezing the sides of the Air
Filter Cover and pulling it away from the Air Box
2. Remove the air filter element from the Air Filter Cover
WARNING: DO NOT use petrol or other flammable solvents to clean the filter element as this
may lead to fire or explosion.
3. Wash the air filter element thoroughly in a solution of warm water with non-foamy
household detergent, or clean with a specialised non-flammable solvent
WARNING: DO NOT wring out the element, as this could damage the sponge material.
WARNING: NEVER install a wet filter element, as water in the air intake will lead to
permanent engine damage.
4. Immerse the dried filter element in clean engine oil, or alternatively, apply specialised air
filter oil to the filter element. Gently squeeze (but DO NOT wring out) to remove excess
oil.
5. Reinstall the air filter element and the Air Filter Cover
Spark plug maintenance
Note: Before installing a new spark plug, ensure the gap is correctly set to 0.6-0.8mm.
Not doing so could cause the piston to conflict with the spark plug, damaging internal
components.
1. Undo the two screws securing the Spark Plug Access Cover (25) to reveal the spark plug
and ignition lead
2. Pull off the ignition lead to reveal the spark plug
3. Remove the spark plug using the provided Spark Plug Combi Tool (1)
4. Clean or replace the spark plug
5. When installing the spark plug, turn the plug by hand until resistance is felt, then continue
to turn using the Spark Plug Combi Tool another 1/3 of a turn
Carburettor adjustment
Note: It may be necessary to adjust the idle speed, dependant on climate, ambient
temperature and elevation.
• To adjust the idle speed, turn the Idle Adjustment Screw (19) clockwise to increase the
idle speed, and anti-clockwise to decrease the idle speed
General inspection
• Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight
• Inspect the fuel tank and lines of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs
should be carried out by an authorised GMC service centre. This advice also applies to
extension cords used with this tool
Cleaning
• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly,
and shorten the machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush,
or dry cloth. If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation
holes
• Clean the tool casing with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent. Do not use alcohol,
petrol or strong cleaning agents
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts
Clearing a blockage
WARNING: ALWAYS wear cut-proof gloves when touching the blade, to avoid injury.
Note: Occasionally blockages may occur from oversized debris. Blockages will hinder the leaf
blower’s ability to perform correctly. In the event of a blockage:
• Ensure the ignition lead has been disconnected from the spark plug before commencing
the blockage removal
1. Disassemble the blower tube assembly by following the instructions provided in ‘Blower
tube assembly’, but in reverse
2. Disconnect the Debris Collector (13) and empty the contents
3. Clear any blockages from around the blade assembly, taking extra care to avoid sharp
edges
4. Reassemble the blower tube as instructed in ‘Blower tube assembly’, and reconnect the
Debris Collector
Lubrication
• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant
Storage
• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
Storing fuel
• Store 2-stroke mix ONLY in containers specifically designed for fuel storage
• Store fuel in a dark place with a constant, low temperature
Disposal

Specificaties
De geluidsintensiteit voor de bediener kan 85 dB(A) overschrijden en de gehoorbescherming

Met het oog op onze aanhoudende productontwikkeling kunnen de specificaties van GMC
producten zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving worden gewijzigd.
WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen van
gehoorbescherming en het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel
hoge geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik
van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het geluiddempingsniveau van de
bescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid, tinteling en
een vermindert gripvermogen. Langdurige blootstelling kan leiden tot chronische condities.
Limiteer de blootstellingsduur en draag anti-vibratie handschoenen. Vibratie heeft een grotere

3) Gebruik en verzorging
a) Het onderhouden van gereedschap. Controleer op een verkeerde uitlijning of
binden van bewegende onderdelen, beschadiging aan onderdelen en andere
condities wat het gebruik beïnvloed. In geval van beschadiging, vervangt u
het gereedschap onmiddellijk. Vele ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door slecht
onderhouden gereedschap
b) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijwerktuigen met
scherpe messen slaan minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.
c) Gebruik de accessoires in overeenstemming met deze instructies, waarbij
rekening gehouden wordt met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren
werk. Het gebruik van het gereedschap voor taken, anders dan waarvoor het bestemd
is, kan resulteren in gevaarlijke situaties
4) Onderhoud
a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwalificeerde vakman
en gebruik alleen identieke vervangstukken.
Veiligheid interne verbranding
Gevaarlijke omgeving
Gebruik benzinegereedschap niet in vochtige of natte omstandigheden, en stel het niet bloot
aan regen. Zorg voor voldoende werkruimte en verlichting. Gebruik benzinegereedschap niet
op plaatsen met ontploffings- of brandgevaar omwille van brandbaar materiaal, vloeistoffen,
gassen of stof van explosieve aard.
Uitschakelen
Zorg ervoor dat de motor is uitgeschakeld voordat u accessoires op het gereedschap
bevestigd. Als het gereedschap onverwacht stopt, wacht dan tot de motor gestopt is met
draaien voordat u het gereedschap inspecteert.
Inlopen van de motor
• Laat de motor wanneer het gereedschap nieuw is op een matig toerental draaien.
• Laat de motor pas op volle toeren draaien als hij volledig is ingelopen.
• De motor zal pas aan het eind van de inloopperiode op maximaal vermogen lopen.
• Wanneer u het gereedschap voor het eerst gebruikt, controleer dan of alle bouten en
moeren goed zijn aangedraaid en draai ze zo nodig alsnog aan.
• Gebruik geen methanol of ethanol bevattende brandstoffen omdat deze de brandstoftank
en de brandstofleidingen intern kan beschadigen.
Waarschuwing
• Laat het gereedschap nooit achter wanneer het ingeschakeld is
• Laat het gereedschap nooit achter wanneer onderdelen heet zijn
Onderhoud
• Wij raden aan om het gereedschap kort na het eerste gebruik een onderhoudsbeurt te
laten geven.
• Zorg bij normaal gebruik regelmatig voor een onderhoudsbeurt.
• Modificeer de onderdelen van dit gereedschap niet. Daarmee vervalt niet alleen de
garantie maar het kan tevens leiden tot letsel aan uzelf of mensen om u heen.
• Onderhoud moet altijd worden uitgevoerd door een bevoegd persoon.
Algemene veiligheid
WAARSCHUWING: Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet opvolgen
van alle voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een elektrische schok,
brand en/of ernstig letsel.
Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.
1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting. Rommelige en
donkere ruimtes leiden vaak tot ongelukken.
b) Gebruik het gereedschap niet in explosieve atmosferen, als in de aanwezigheid van
vlam bare vloeistoffen, gassen en stof.
c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap
bedient. Door afleiding kunt u de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.
2) Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap
bedient. Gebruik het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder
invloed van drugs, alcohol of medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van
elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.
b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril.
Passende bescherming voor de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende
veiligheidsschoenen een helm of gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk
letsel.
c) Voorkom onopzettelijk starten. Zorg ervoor dat de schakelaar in de uit-stand
staat wanneer het gereedschap niet gebruikt wordt en maak gebruik van andere
voorzorgsmaatregelen om onopzettelijk starten te voorkomen.
d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische gereedschap
inschakelt. Een moer- of stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het
elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot letsel.
e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over
het elektrische gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden. Houd haren,
kleding en handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding,
sieraden en los hangende haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.
g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit
deze dan aan en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik van deze onderdelen
kan het risico op stof gerelateerde ongelukken verminderen.
WAARSCHUWING: Bloodstelling aan trilling kan leiden tot gevoelloosheid, tintelen en
verminderde grip bekwaamheid. Op de lange termijn kan het leiden tot chronische condities.
Limiteer de lengte van blootstelling aan trilling. Gebruik de gegevens in de specificaties
van het gereedschap om de gebruiksduur en –frequentie te berekenen. De 2002/44-EEG
richtlijn met betrekking tot trilling in de werkruimte bevat mogelijk bruikbare informatie. Bij
een oncomfortabel gebruik ten gevolge van trilling stopt u onmiddellijk met het gebruik van
het gereedschap
WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer het geluidsniveau boven de 85 dB(A) reikt is het dragen
van gehoorbescherming een must. Wanneer geluidsniveaus, zelfs tijdens het dragen
van gehoorbescherming, oncomfortabel hoog zijn, stop dan met het gebruiken van het
gereedschap en controleer of het juiste dempingsniveau gegeven wordt

Opbergen
• Maak het gereedschap na gebruik helemaal schoon.
• Zorg ervoor dat u de brandstoftank en de brandstofleidingen niet beschadigd raken als u
het toestel op de grond is geplaatst.
• Laat het gereedschap niet vallen waar schade resulteert in een onveilig gebruik
• Berg het gereedschap buiten bereik van direct zonlicht op.
• Zorg ervoor dat brandstof en olie op een veilige plaats, buiten bereik van hitte, direct
zonlicht, ontstekingsbronnen en kinderen worden opgeborgen.
• Doe het volgende als de machine gedurende langere tijd niet in gebruik is:
• Maak de brandstoftank volledig leeg.
• Bescherm alle metalen motoronderdelen tegen roestvorming door ze in te smeren met
olie.
• Verwijder de bougie, druppel een kleine hoeveelheid olie in de cilinder en trek 2 of 3 maal
aan het startkoord om de olie gelijkmatig te distribueren.
• Breng de bougie weer aan.
• Laat de machine nooit onbeheerd achter wanneer er kinderen bij kunnen.
ZODRA DE MOTOR DRAAIT PRODUCEERT DIT PRODUCT GIFTIGE UITLAATGASSEN.
DEZE GASSEN KUNNEN KLEUR- EN GEURLOOS ZIJN. OM HET RISICO OP ERNSTIG
OF DODELIJK LETSEL TE VERMINDEREN MAG DE MACHINE NOOIT BINNEN OF
IN SLECHT GEVENTILEERDE RUIMTEN WORDEN GEBRUIKT. ZORG VOOR GOEDE
VENTILATIE BIJ HET WERKEN IN GREPPELS OF ANDERE BESLOTEN RUIMTEN.
Bladblazer veiligheid
• Gebruik een bladblazer met zuigfunctie nooit voor het opzuigen van zware,
vochtige, scherpe of ontvlambare materialen als metaal, stenen, takken, glas, kolen,
sigarettenpeuken, stof en gravel
• Gebruik een bladblazer met zuigfunctie nooit voor het opzuigen van vloeistoffen
• Gebruik de machine niet in de buurt van open vlammen
• Houdt ventilatiegaten te allen tijde vrij. Controleer de ventilatiegaten wanneer de machine
heet wordt
• Steek uw vingers en handen niet in enige openingen wanneer de machine aangesloten is
op de stroombron, of is ingeschakeld
• Het geluidsniveau tijdens het gebruik van de machine is mogelijk storend voor de buren

Gebruiksdoel
Stofzuiger met benzinemotor, voor het opzuigen en wegblazen van lichtgewicht tuinafval als
bladeren, gras, takjes, etc. Enkel geschikt voor huishoudelijk gebruik
Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap
• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken en
functies vertrouwd raakt
• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen
ontbreken of beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel /
gereedschap gebruikt
Voor gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Om het accidenteel starten van de motor te voorkomen, ontkoppeld u de
ontstekingskabel van de bougie voordat u accessoires verwisselt of aanpassingen maakt
Het samenstellen van de blaasbuis
1. Plaats de bladbehuizing (9) voorzichtig op een stevig oppervlak, met de bladopening naar
boven
2. Verwijder de schroeven van de bovenste blaasbuis (7) met het
kruiskopschroevendraaierdeel van de bougie sleutel (1) (Afb. A)
3. Verwijder de twee schroeven aan de boven en onderzijde van de bladopening op de
bladbehuizing (Afb. B) en zorg ervoor dat de moeren niet van de andere zijde afvallen
4. Schuif het verzonken deel van de bovenste blaasbuis in het bijpassende deel van de
bladbehuizing
5. Draai de schroeven die in stap 2 en 3 verwijdert zijn vast. De schroeven die in stap 2
verwijdert zijn dienen in het lagere deel van de bladopening geplaatst te worden (Afb. C)
6. Herhaal stappen 2 en 4 voor het bevestigen van de onderste blaasbuis (6) in de bovenste
blaasbuis
7. Draai de twee schroeven op het hogere en lagere deel van de opening van de bovenste
blaasbuis vast om de onderste blaasbuis in plaats te vergrendelen (Afb. D)
Het bevestigen van de afvalzak
1. Maak de klittenband bevestigingsband aan de opening van de afvalzak (13) los
2. Schuif de opening van de afvalzak over de flens (11), trek de bevestgingsband strak aan
en sluit de klittenband sluiting om de zak te vergrendelen (Afb. E)
Het bevestigen van de schouderband
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik de machine niet zonder het gebruik van de schouderband (12)
• Bevestig de schouderband op het bevestigingspunt voor de ontstekingsschakelaar (14)
Het voorbereiden van 2-takt mengsels
Let op: De bladblazer is aangedreven door een 2-takt motor. De motor vereist een benzine/
olie mengsel
WAARSCHUWING: Maak te allen tijde gebruik van synthetische 2-takt olie. Gebruik geen
normale olie voor het voorbereiden van het 2-takt mengsel
1. Gebruik een geschikte 2-takt olie fles voor het meten van de vereiste hoeveelheid olie, zie
het onderstaande mengschema
WAARSCHUWING: Giet olie niet direct in de brandstoftank (22). Het mengsels dient grondig
gemixt te worden in een aparte container voordat u het in de tank giet
1. Giet de vereiste hoeveelheid olie in de container, gevolgd door de vereiste hoeveelheid
benzine. Sluit de container en schud grondig
Let op: 2-takt mengsels dienen niet voor langer tijd opgeborgen te worden. Meng slechts de
vereiste hoeveelheden voor het uit te voeren werk. Verwijs naar ‘Het opbergen van brandstof’
voor verdere informatie
Het vullen van de brandstoftank
WAARSCHUWING: Brand en brandwond gevaar. Ben uiterst voorzichtig bij het vullen van
de brandstoftank
WAARSCHUWING: Vul de brandstoftank nooit met een draaiende motor. Schakel de
machine uit en wacht tot deze volledig afgekoeld is
WAARSCHUWING: Vul de brandstoftank buiten, in een goed geventileerde ruimte
WAARSCHUWING: Open de brandstoftank voorzichtig om mogelijk opgebouwde druk
langzaam te laten ontsnappen. Open de brandstoftank niet wanneer de motor loopt
• Ben uiterst voorzichtig bij het hanteren van brandstof. Brandstof is zeer licht ontvlambaar
• Vul de brandstoftank niet wanneer onderdelen van het brandstofsysteem beschadigd zijn
of lekken
• Vul de brandstoftank niet wanneer de motor loopt of wanneer de motor heet/warm is. Laat
de motor volledig afkoelen
• Rook niet in de buurt van de heggenschaar of brandstof
• Transporteer en berg brandstof in geschikte containers op
• Plaats ontvlambare stoffen niet in de buurt van de uitlaat
• Gebruik geen ethanol of methanol bevattende brandstoffen. Deze brandstoffen kunnen
de brandstofleidingen en andere motoronderdelen beschadigen
• Wanneer brandstof langer dan 30 dagen opgeborgen gaat worden, dient een stabilisator
toegevoegd te worden
1. Bereid het mengsel in de mix kan (2)
2. Plaats de eenheid op een stevige ondergrond neer en veeg enig vuil rondom de
brandstoftank dop (23) weg
3. Schroef de dop los en giet het mengsel met gebruik van een trechter in de brandstoftank
Let op: Veeg enig gemorst mengsel met een schone doek weg
• Om de kans op brand te voorkomen, start u de motor minimaal drie meter uit de buurt van
de plek waar de brandstoftank gevuld is

WAARSCHUWING: Bij het gebruik van de machine is het dragen van de geschikte
beschermende uitrusting, waaronder beschermende handschoenen aanbevolen
WAARSCHUWING: Nadat u de motor stopt beweegt het blad voor een aantal seconden door

Let op: Tijdens het inlopen van de motor en het starten in koudere omstandigheden is het
mogelijk nodig de brandstof/olieverhouding te veranderen naar 25:1

Het in- en uitschakelen van de machine
1. Plaats de ontstekingsschakelaar (11) in de ‘I’ positie door deze naar voren, in de richting
van het voorhandvat (10) te schuiven (Afb. F)
2. Wanneer de motor gestart wordt wanneer deze koud is, plaatst u de choke (20) in de
‘gesloten’ positie voordat u de motor start (Afb. G)
3. Druk de brandstofpomp (21) ongeveer 3 keer in, tot de bel gevuld is met brandstof
(Afb. H)
4. Trek aan de repeteerstarter (26) tot de motor start
Let op: Het is mogelijk vereist meerdere malen aan de repeteerstarter te trekken, afhankelijk
van de omgevingstemperatuur en brandstof hoeveelheid
Let op: Wanneer de motor niet start schuift u de choke hendel in de half open positie om het
verzuipen van de motor te voorkomen
5. Schuif de choke in de ‘open’ positie door de hendel volledig naar voren
6. Laat de motor 10 seconden onbelast lopen zodat deze kan opwarmen
• Om de machine uit te schakelen plaatst u de ontstekingsschakelaar (14) in de uit-stand
• Om de machine te gebruiken knijpt u de gashendel (15) in
Het gebruik als bladblazer
1. Plaats de stand keuzeschakelaar (8) in de bovenste positie (rechtop) (Afb. I)
2. Houdt de machine met beide handen bij de handvaten (10+16) vast en richt de
buisopening op het tuinafval
3. Pas het vermogen van de machine aan met behulp van de gashendel
4. Zwaai de machine van links naar rechts
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat het uiteinde van de blaasbuis (16) tijdens gebruik minimaal 150 mm
boven de grond hangt
Het gebruik als bladzuiger
1. Plaats de stand keuzeschakelaar in de horizontale positie (Afb. J)
WAARSCHUWING: Zorg ervoor dat de schakelaar niet tussen standen in staat, waar dit de
eenheid kan beschadigen
2. Houdt de machine met beide handen bij de handvaten (10+16) vast en richt de
buisopening op het tuinafval
3. Pas het vermogen van de machine aan met behulp van de gashendel
• Zwaai de machine van links naar rechts, of rust de machine op de wielen (3) om al het
afval op te zuigen
• Rits de afvalzak (13) open om deze te legen
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat de afvalzak juist op de machine bevestigd is

• Verschillende accessoires en verbruiksmiddelen, waaronder veiligheidshelmen,
beschermende handschoenen en gehoorbeschermers, zijn verkrijgbaar bij uw GMC

Onderhoud
WAARSCHUWING: Zorg ervoor dat de ontstekingskabel ontkoppeld is voordat u accessoires
wisselt of enige aanpassingen maakt, om de kans op accidentele inschakeling te voorkomen
WAARSCHUWING: Bij het onderhouden van de machine is het dragen van de geschikte
beschermende uitrusting, waaronder een veiligheidsbril en beschermende handschoenen
aanbevolen. Zorg voor een goede ventilatie

WAARSCHUWING: Onderhoud wat niet beschreven wordt in deze handleiding, dient
uitgevoerd te worden door een geautoriseerd GMC service center. Het uitvoeren van dit soort
onderhoud ontkracht de garantie
Het schoonmaken van de luchtfilter
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik de machine nooit zonder luchtfilter. Dit resulteert in een snelle
slijtage van interne onderdelen wat de motor permanent beschadigd en de levensduur verkort
1. Verwijder de luchtfilter kap (17) van de luchtdoos (18) door de zijkanten van de kap in te
knijpen en de kap van de doos af te trekken
2. Verwijder het filterelement van de kap
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik geen benzine of ander ontvlambare vloeistof om de filter schoon
te maken
3. Was de luchtfilter grondig in warm water met een niet-schuimend oplosmiddel, of een
speciaal niet-ontvlambaar middel
WAARSCHUWING: Wring de filter niet uit waar dit de filter kan beschadigen
WAARSCHUWING: Plaats de filter enkel terug wanneer deze volledig droog is. Het water
van een vochtige filter resulteert in permanente motorbeschadiging
4. Dompel de filter in schone motorolie of een speciale luchtfilterolie en knijp in de filter om
overmatige olie te verwijderen
5. Plaats de filter en de kap terug op de machine
Bougie onderhoud
Let op: Voordat u een nieuwe bougie plaatst, zorgt u ervoor dat de elektrodeafstand
0,6-0,8 mm bedraagt. Als u dit niet doet kan de zuigerstang de bougie storen, wat de interne
onderdelen kan beschadigen
1. Draai de twee schroeven die de bougie afdekplaat (25) vergrendelen los
2. Ontkoppel de ontstekingskabel om de bougie vrij te geven
3. Verwijder de bougie met gebruik van de bougiesleutel (1)
4. Maak de bougie schoon of vervang deze
5. Plaats de schone/nieuwe bougie met de hand terug totdat u weerstand voelt. Draai de
bougie nu met de sleutel 1/3 slag zodat deze volledig vast zit
Carburateur verstelling
Let op: Het is mogelijk vereist de stationaire snelheid aan te passen, afhankelijk van het
klimaat, de omgevingstemperatuur en de hoogteligging
• Draai de stationaire stelschroef (19) rechtsom om de motorsnelheid te verhogen. Draai de
schroef linksom om de motorsnelheid te verlagen
Algemene inspectie
• Controleer regelmatig of alle bevestigingsmiddelen nog goed vast zitten. Door vibratie
kunnen ze na enige tijd los gaan zitten
• Inspecteer de brandstoftank en leidingen voor elk gebruik op slijtage en beschadiging.
Reparaties dienen uitgevoerd worden bij een geautoriseerd GMC service center
Schoonmaak
• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof doen de interne onderdelen snel
slijten, wat de levensduur aanzienlijk vermindert. Maak de machine met een zachte
borstel of droge doek schoon. Gebruik wanneer mogelijk zuivere, droge perslucht om
door de luchtgaten te blazen
• Maak de behuizing met een vochtige doek en een licht schoonmaakmiddel schoon.
Gebruik geen alcohol, benzine of hardnekkig schoonmaakmiddel
• Gebruik geen bijtende stoffen voor het schoonmaken van plastic onderdelen
Een verstopping verwijderen
WAARSCHUWING: Draag altijd beschermende handschoenen wanneer u het blad aanraakt
om de kans op persoonlijk letsel te voorkomen
Let op: Grotere stukken afval raken mogelijk verstopt in de buis waardoor de machine niet
efficiënt gebruikt kan worden. In geval van een verstopping:
• Zorg ervoor dat de ontstekingskabel ontkoppeld is voordat u de verstopping verwijdert
1. Haal de buissamenstelling uit elkaar door de stappen in ‘Het samenstellen van de
blaasbuis’, maar dan in tegenovergestelde volgorde
2. Ontkoppel de afvalzak en leeg de inhoud
3. Verwijder verstoppingen rondom de bladsamenstelling. Kijk daarbij uit voor de scherpe
randen
4. Stel de zuigbuis opnieuw samen en bevestig de afvalzak terug op de machine
Smeren
• Smeer alle bewegende onderdelen regelmatig met een geschikt smeermiddel
Opberging
• Berg de machine op een droge en veilige plek, buiten het bereik van kinderen op
Verwijdering
Bij de verwijdering van machines die niet langer functioneel en niet te repareren zijn, neemt u
de nationale voorschriften in acht
• Machines met een interne verbrandingsmotor dienen niet met uw huishoudelijk afval
weggegooid te worden. Deze machine dienen juist gerecycled te worden, volgens de
landelijke milieubeschermingseisen
• Benzine, olie en mengsels zijn schadelijk en dienen als schadelijk behandelt te worden.
Olie en brandstoffen dienen niet met uw huishoudelijk afval weggegooid te worden.
Onjuiste verwijderen wordt mogelijk gezien als een crimineel misdrijf. Neem contact op
met uw plaatselijke autoriteiten betreft een juiste verwijdering van olie en brandstoffen
