• If LED lamp above LBAT lights up red, it means the
batteries are low and new batteries should be replaced.
Otherwise the low batteries would lead to inaccurate
testing results.
• If the tester not being used for a long time, batteries
should be removed from the tester.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
• Put the testing probe protective cover on when the tester
is not in use.
• When using the tester in a humid environment or it is not
used for a long time, the tester’s probe tip would be
oxidization and turns black which would lower the
sensitivity and incur a wrong reading when testing.
• To make sure its testing accuracy, when the probe tip
turns black, please rub the tip on the surface of a dry cloth
or paper gently until the tip gets brighter.
• This tester has already been calibrated at the factory.
Generally, it’s not necessary for calibration again.
MAINTAINANCE
• When using the tester to test a same gem stone
repeatedly, wait for several seconds between each
testing so that the stone is cooled to a room
temperature.
• After a testing, the tester should be held for several
seconds until its probe tip is reheated to rated
temperature for another testing.
