- LCD 15’’ LCD Screen, ideal size for use in dental ofces.
- Color Display with 16.7 million colors, excellent image quality providing better
visualization of details.
- High resolution monitor has great color delity, which guarantees precision in analysis
and diagnosis through images.
- Viewing Angle (horizontal/vertical) 130º ~ 120º which allows excellent viewing even
in the most accentuated angles.
- Switching power supply, allows use of the equipment at any supply voltage from 100V
to 240V – 50 and 60Hz. Audio and Video Terminals:
• S-VIDEO video input for DVD device.
• VGA Video input for Computer.

INSTALLATION
Note: The monitor can be installed with the intra-oral camera with VGA output
or it can be installed directly in the computer (C), as it only has the VGA input.
Monitor installation
The monitor is equipped with an AC/DC power source, 100V-240V~AC, 60/50Hz
that must be connected in the rear of the monitor (A) and the other extremity (B) in the
electrical network. Connect the VGA cable in the monitor (C) and the other extremity in
the computer (D).
If you want to install the monitor on the column of the dental light, use the complementary
cable

the cables to the rear part
of the monitor, make sure
that the power source is
disconnected from the
electricity network.
Cable connection (monitor/camera)
• Connect the power source (A) in the monitor and the other extremity (B) in the
electrical network;
• Connect the VGA cable in the monitor (D) and the other extremity in the camera
module (C);
• Connect one of the extremities of the camera cable (F) in the module, and the other
extremity in the intra oral camera.
• Connect the camera power supply (E) in the module and the other extremity in the
electrical network.

OPERATION
Selection of the“Auto Adjust” Submenu
AUTO ADJUST: Select this function to obtain better efciency in the
display.
BRIGHTNESS: Adjust the image brightness using the navigation keys.
CONTRAST: Adjust the image contrast using the navigation keys.
After installation, turn on the monitor by pressing key (C).
Press (B) to show the menu screen. The menu will close automatically after the
determined time, as we will later see. Use the navigation keys (D) and (E) for selection of
the desired submenu and press (B) to activate it.
SATURATION: Adjust the image saturation using the navigation keys.
COLOR INTENSITY: Adjust the color intensity using the navigation keys.
SHARPNESS: Adjust the image sharpness using the navigation keys.

INPUT: Select the type of input (Vídeo, PC and S-Vídeo), using the navigation
keys.
MUTE: Deactivate the sound of the monitor.
RESET: Re-establish the original conguration of the monitor.
AUDIO: Adjust the monitor volume using the navigation keys.

EXIT: Leave the OSD
HORIZONTAL POSITION: Move the display in the horizontal direction
using the navigation keys.
OPERATION
VERTICAL POSITION: Move the display in the vertical direction using
the navigation keys.
OSD: Adjust the time of exhibition of the menu screen using the navigation
keys.
LANGUAGE: Select the language desired using the navigation keys.

- The equipment has been planned not to be sensitive to interference such as magnetic
elds, external electrical factors, electrostatic discharge, pressure or variance of pressure,
provided that the equipment is installed, maintained, clean, preserved, transported and
operated as per this instruction for use.
Sensitivity to environmental conditions in normal situations
of use
- Ambient temperature range: +5°C to +45°C;
- Ambient temperature range recommended by Gnatus: +15°C to +30°C;
- Operation relative humidity range: 30% to 75% (non condensing);
- Atmospheric pressure range: 700 hPa to 1060 hPa (525 mmHg to 795 mmHg).

The Equipment maintains its condition of safety and efcacy, provided that it is
maintained (stored) as mentioned in this instruction of use. Thus, the equipment
will not lose or alter its physical and dimensional features.
Recommendations for the dental equipment maintenance.
Your Gnatus equipment has been designed and developed according to the standards
of modern techology. Similarly to other kinds of equipment, it requires special care, which
is many times neglected due to several reasons and circunstances.
Therefore, here are some important reminders for your daily routine. Try to follow these
simple rules, which will save you a lot of time and will avoid unnecessary expenses once
they start making part of your working procedure.
PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS AND WARNINGS
This equipment must be transported and stored observing the following directions:
- Avoid falls and impacts;
- Keep it dry, do not expose it to rain, water drops or wet oor;
- Keep it away from water and direct sunlight, and in it original wrapping;
- Don’t move it over irregular surfaces, protect it from rain and observe the maximum
stack quantity specied in the packaging;
- Transportation and storage temperature range: -12°C to 50°C;
- Transportation and storage relative humidity range: 0°C to 90°C;
- Atmospheric pressure range: 500hPa to 1060hPa (375 mmHg to 795 mmHg).

PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS AND WARNINGS
- Check that the socket in which the device will be connected has a ground connection.
According to the ABNT standard, this is essential for the safe operation of the system;
- Position the equipment in a place where it will not get wet.
- Install the equipment in a place where it will not be damaged by pressure, temperature,
humidity, direct sunlight, dust, salts.
- This equipment was not planned for use in an environment where vapors, anesthetic
mixtures inammable with air, or oxygen and nitrous oxide can be detected.
- Check the voltage of the equipment at the moment of executing the electrical
installation.
- The equipment must be grounded correctly.
- Before the rst use and/or after long interruptions from work such as vacations, clean
and disinfect the equipment; eliminate air and water deposited in the internal hoses.
Precautions and warnings“during the installation”of quipment
- The equipment has been manufactured to handle both continuous and intermittent
operation; so follow the cycles described in these Instructions for Use.
- Although this equipment has been planned in accordance with the standards of
electromagnetic compatibility, it can, in very extreme conditions, cause interference with
other equipment. Do not use this equipment together with other devices very sensitive to
interference or with devices which create high electromagnetic disturbance.
- Do not expose the plastic parts to contact with chemical substances, use in the routines
of dental treatment, such as: acids, mercury, acrylic liquids, amalgams, etc.
Precautions and warnings “during the use” of equipment
Gnatus shall not be responsible for:
- Use of the equipment differing from that for which it is intended.
- Damages caused to the equipment, the professional and/or the patient by the incorrect
installation and erroneous procedures of maintenance, differing from those described in these
Instructions for use which come with the equipment or by the incorrect operation of it.
