6. Troubleshooting
1. Whentherefrigeratordoesnotwork
Checkifthereisapowerfailure.
Checkifthepowerplugispluggedintothepoweroutlet.
Checkthatthefusehasnotblown.
2.Whentherefrigeratoriscoolingexcessively
Thetemperaturecontroldialmaybesettoohigh.
Ifyouplacefoodstuffscontainingalotofmoisturedirectlyunderthecoolairoutlets,theywill
freezeeasily.Thisdoesnotindicateamalfunction.
3.Whentherefrigeratorisnotcoolingsufciently
Thefoodmaybepackedtootightlytogetherwhichwillblocktheowofcoolair.
Youmayhaveputsomethinghotoralotoffoodstuffsintotherefrigerator.
Thedoormaynothavebeenclosedproperly.
Thedoorgasketsmaybedamaged.
Therefrigeratormaynotbeventilated.
Theremaybeinsufcientclearancebetweentherefrigeratorandthesurfaces
Immediatelybothsidesandabove.
Thetemperaturecontroldialmaynotbesetproperly.
4.Whenthedefrostingwateroverowsinsidetherefrigeratorandontotheoor.
Checkthatthedrainpipeandthedrainhosearenotclogged.
Checkthatthedrainpanishousedproperly.
5.Whencondensationformontheoutsideoftherefrigerator.
Condensationmayformontheoutsidewhenthehumidityishighsuchasduringawetsea-
son.Thisisthesameresultasthecondensationformedwhenchilledwaterispouredinto
aglass.Itdoesnot,therefore,indicateafailure,wipedrywithadrycloth.
6.Whenyouhearasoundlikewaterowing.
Asoundlikewaterowingistherefrigerantowing.ItdoesnotIndicateamalfunction.
7.Whenthecabinet’ssidepanelheatsup
Thesidepanelofthecabinetwillheatupwhenthedoorisopenedorclosedfrequently,
whenstartingtheunitandwhentheunitoperatesinsummerwithhighambientoutside
temperature,Insuchcase,donottouchthepanel,itresultsfromthedissipationoftheheat
frominsidethecabinet,anditdoesnotmeanthatsomethingiswrongwiththerefrigerator.
