Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using this product, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of personal property and damage to equipment. Read
all instructions before using this product!
1. Do not operate the product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning
labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment/reflexes might be impaired.
2. Never use this product as a towing rope.
3. Before using this product, check with the local Department of Motor Vehicles for
required safety regulations when using this product.
4. Do not let children play with this product. It is not a toy.
5. Activate the Flashing Emergency Light to indicate caution when using this product.
Activate the solid red light when using this product at night.
6. Do not operate the product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning
labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment/reflexes might be impaired.
7. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in moving parts.
8. Protective gloves and nonskid footwear are recommended.
9. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.
10. Use eye and ear protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles
when setting up this product.
11. Maintain proper footing and balance at all times.
12. To avoid risk of personal injury, equipment damage, fire and shock, make sure your
work area is free of damp, wet or rainy conditions. Keep area free from clutter.
13. Use this product for its intended use only. Never force this product to do the work of
a larger industrial tool. This product is not for towing.
Note:
This product is used for securing the Trunk of your vehicle in place while holding a
light load. Always use ropes, chains, or other appropriate devices to safely hold a
larger load in place.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Your Trunk Extender comes fully assembled. It is important that you read the entire
instructional sheet to become familiar with the product before using.
1. Distribute the load in the opened Trunk
evenly. Push the Hook (A) over the Trunk
lock. This holds the Trunk Extender in
place.
See Figure 1.
2. Pull the Hook (B) with the Wire and clip it
to the underside of the trunk lid.
See Figure 2.
3. Lower the trunk lid down to the desired
position. The Wire will self-retract. Push the
Lock Button on the side of the case
forward. Lock the taut wire in place.
(Caution: Do not mistake the Cutter Button
for the Wire Button).

4. Test the Wire and the load in the trunk
before driving. Make sure the load is
secured properly, and will not fall out of the
trunk.
5. Before driving away, activate the red light
on the Trunk Extender by pushing the
plastic casing on the light inward. Push
once for a solid red light and twice for a
flashing red light.

Carton Cutter
1. To use the Carton Cutter, push the Snap-click black button forward. This button is
spring loaded and will retract the Blade when released. (There is no replacement
part for this blade). Use with caution.

2. Always dispose of batteries properly. Contact you local Hazardous Waste Authority
for proper battery disposal guidelines.

1. Remove the old batteries (note the polarity of the old batteries). Make certain that
the new batteries are AAA 1.5V Batteries (Qty.2). Install the new batteries into the
Battery Housing. Make certain that the batteries are placed according to the correct
polarity. Replace the Battery cover.
