ADJUSTING THE LEVEL OF AN AVAILABLE INPUT SOURCE
:

1. Selecting the zone to be edited :
The zone to be edited will be selected by pressing one of the buttons [ T1 ].[ T4 ]
2. Selecting the active source :
Every further pressing of the same button leads on to the next available (not blocked)
source which can be routed to the actual output zone.
3. Selecting the source to be edited :
By the first pressing of the button [ VOL ] the display shows the level-menu
ATTENTION: the source to be edited not mandatory is the source displayed
in the upper line of the display !!!
Selecting the source which level has to be edited for the actual displayed output zone
by pressing one or more times the button [ VOL ] .
The sources will appear in the lower display line in the following order :
MUSIC 1 => MUSIC 2 => MUSIC 3 => MUSIC 4 => MUSIC MASTER ( for actual output
zone ) => chime => TEXT 1 => TEXT 2 => AUX 1 => AUX 2 => and music 1 again …
4. Setting the volume :
pressing the buttons [ + ] respective [ - ] changes the audio level for the displayed cross point
of input source and output zone ( + : raises - : reduces the level ).
If " - - dB" appears behind a selected input, so this input may not be activated for the actual
displayed output, this connection is blocked by programming, the source cannot be routed to the
actual displayed output.
( return to standard display view by pressing [ PRG ] two times - or by waiting a few
seconds, then the system returns automatically to the

RIORITIES
For audio signals, the following priority is fixed : ( the list starts by the highest priority )
Fire Mic1 (call) / Fire Mic2 (call) / Emergency EVA16 TER 2.0 (call) /
Alarm 1 / Alarm 2 / Alarm 3 / Alarm 4 / Aux1 / Text1 /
TER / SYS80 (call) / SYS 4 / SYS 2 /
chime / Aux2 / Text2 / Music 1 – 4
On terminals of type SYS 4 and SYS 2 an „OCCUPIED“ condition will be indicated by a fast blinking of the
„BUSY-LED“ , the terminal cannot give a call while this.
On terminals of type SYS-80 the BUSY-condition will be indicated by the word „BUSY“ in the display;
the terminal cannot give a call while this.
Emergency Call ( only TER ) or starting an ALARM will be possible accordingly to the priority list.
Chime, Aux2 and Text2 do not cause a busy indication on terminals.

:
The EVA16 2.0 system notifies internal or external errors
- at the main unit by sounding an internal buzzer / by blinking of the error - LED
on the front panel / by switching the error-relay ( to forward a error
message for example to a central office ) / by giving an error message
to the display as described the following graphics )
At the microphone terminals of type - EVA16 TER 2.0 by sounding an internal buzzer / by blinking of the error – LED
The buzzer of the system controller may be reset as follows: After pressing the green [ PRG ] button,
first the following menu appears :
And after pressing button [ T2 = RESET ] , the following RESET - menu occurs:
ATTENTION : pressing button [ T1 ]
will mute the buzzer ; for the actual
error it cannot be restarted !
If an error-message occurs in system EVA16 2.0, you mandatory have to inform
the installation company or the maintenance company of the system!
Even the detaching of components ( f.e. speakers or microphone termina s ) wi cause an error
message in the system, that may not disappear when reconnecting the components.

- The button triggers a group-call predefined in EVA16 programming
- the triggers a zone call to a predefined selection of zones by
the numbered buttons [ 0 ] … [ 9 ]
- the button triggers an ALL-CALL; this is unconditionally a call into
every zones/lines
- the function of the depends on the programming.
In default, there is no function at all.
Starting an alarm :
After push and hold the button the display will show :
Pressing and holding the buttton will cause the prerecorded
message to be played out within a delay of 5 sec.
Display will show:
The ALARM may be stopped by pressing the button .

Function of the button [ buzzer on
/
off ] : The function of the button depends on the
configuration / position of the DIP-switch - - on the back panel of the terminal
= ON: the buzzer is deactivated / muted. There is no function for this button
= OFF: buzzer is enabled, pressing the button in case of error will mute a sounding buzzer
[ NOTICE : the buzzer cannot be reactivated until the system is completely free of errors !
Does the same error occur again (or another error) after the system was clean, so the buzzer will sound again ]
The MAG TER terminal station allows the activation of special functions by the use of the cover-protected keys. To
use this functions the sliding cover must by pushed down. This protection will automatically close again (two built-in
springs) after release. So, these keys always are protected against unintended activation.
