20lb.LiquidPropaneGas(LPGas)tank,not includedwith
heater.Never connectyourgas heatertoan LPGas tank
thatexceedsthiscapacity.Atankofapproximately12inches
indiameterby18-1/2incheshighisthe maximumsizeLP
Gastanktouse. Youmustusean "OPD"gastankwhich
offersalistedOverfill PreventionDevice. Thissafetyfeature
preventsthe tankfrombeingoverfilledwhich cancausea
malfunctionofLPGastank,regulatorand/orheater.
The LPGastankmustbe constructed andmarkedin
accordancewiththe Specifications forLP-GasCylinders
oftheU.S.DepartmentofTransportation(D.O.T.)orthe
NationalStandardofCanada,CAN/CSA-B339,Cylinders,
Spheres andTubes forTransportation ofDangerous
Goods;and Commission,as applicable.
The LPGastankmusthave ashutoffvalve,terminating
inanLPGassupplytankvalveoutlet,thatiscompatible
withaType 1tankconnectiondevice.TheLPGastank
mustalsohave asafetyreliefdevicethathasadirect
connectionwiththe vaporspace ofthetank.
The tanksupplysystemmustbe arranged forvapor
withdrawal.
The LPGastankusedmusthaveacollartoprotectthe
tankvalve.If thereisexcessive abrasion,wear,orif the
hoseiscut,itmustbe replacedpriortousingtheheater.
Never connectan unregulated LPgastanktoyourgas
heater.The gasregulatorassemblysupplied withyour
gasheaterisadjustedtohavean outletpressureof11"
watercolumn(W.C.)forconnectiontoanLPgastank.
Onlyusetheregulatorandhoseassemblysuppliedwith
yourgasheater. Replacementregulatorsandhose
assembliesmustbethosespecifiedbyGrandHall.
Have yourLPGasdealercheckthereleasevalve after
everyfillingtoensureitremains freeofdefects.
Always keepLPGastankinuprightposition.
DonotsubjecttheLPGastanktoexcessive heat.
Ifyou storeyourgas heaterinthegarage always
disconnectthe LPGas tankfirstandstoreitsafely
outside.
Neverstorean LPGastankindoors.LPGastanks must
bestoredoutdoorsinawell-ventilated areaandoutof
the reachofchildren.
The regulatorandhoseassemblycan be seen after
openingthe doorandmustbe inspected beforeeachuse
oftheheater.If thereisexcessive abrasionorwearor
if thehoseiscut,itmustbe replacedpriortousingthe
heateragain.
Never allowchildrentooperateyourheater.Donotallow
children orpetstoplaynearyourheater.Always supervise
children andpetsiftheyareinthe vicinityoftheheater.
Use ofalcohol,prescription ornon-prescription drugs
canimpairyourabilitytoproperlyassembleand safely
operateyourheater.
Keepfireextinguisherreadilyaccessible.Intheevent
ofafire,do notattempttoextinguishwithwater. Use
typeBextinguisherorsmotherwithdirt, sand orbaking
soda.
