Paper is jammed in the Suction belt unit
When paper jam occurs, the message is displayed on the control panel, and then the
printing operation is shut down.
When the paper is jammed, inspect each part in the following procedure and remove
the jammed paper.
♦ CAUTION ♦
• When removing jammed paper, please remove all pieces of paper so as not to leave inside the
printer.If pieces of paper are left, it may cause a fire.
When it is hard to remove a piece of paper by reason that it is wrapped around the fusing part
and the roller, please do not force to remove it.This may cause injury.
Please turn off the power immediately, contact the distributor you purchased or our customer
center.
• The fusing part has become heated to a high temperature in operation or immediately after
operation.Please be careful burns.Please do the work when the fusing part is cold enough.
• Please do not force to remove the paper jammed when it is hard to see the parts or not able to
see.Doing so forcibly may result in injury.
Please contact the distributor you purchased or our customer center.
• Paper is jammed in the Suction belt unit
When paper is jammed in the Suction belt unit, the paper jam location is displayed on
the control panel and then the printing operation is shut down.
Inspect the parts and remove the jammed paper in the following procedure.
1 Turn OFF the printer.
2 Disconnect the power cable from the electrical outlet.

3 Remove the roll holder from the unwinder unit.
(1) Loosen the flange fixing screw of Flange A.
Unlock the roll paper by turning the media fixing screw counterclockwise and
then remove the Flange A.
(2) Remove the roll paper.

4. Remove the sheet feeder.
(1) Pull the back lever to unlock the
Sheet feeder.
(2) Holding the Sheet feeder with both
hands, remove if from the printer while
slightly inclined obliquely upward.
(1) Unlock the sheet feeder.
(2) Remove the sheet feeder.

5 Open the front door.

6 Turn the suction belt unit release lever clockwise and then lower the transferring
part. Make sure that the transferring part is fully lowered to the bottom.

7 Remove the paper jammed in the transferring part.
The paper is moved back and forth by turning the feed knob.
♦ CAUTION ♦
• Please be careful not to get injured with the edge of the sheet metal, etc.
• Please be careful not to touch the roller of the transferring part and primary transfer belt.
• Please be careful not to touch the waste toner around the waste toner shutter.

Remove the paper jammed by turning
the Feed knob.

8 Remove the paper jammed according to the following procedures if it cannot be
removed by turning the feed knob.
♦ CAUTION ♦
• Please be careful not to drop the thumbscrews inside the printer.
(1) Removing the registration roller guide A
Remove the front thumbscrews (2 pcs.) and then remove the registration roller guide A.

(2) Removing the registration roller guide B
Remove the back thumbscrews (2 pcs.) and then remove the registration
roller guide B.
Remove it slowly while lifting up the rear side of the guide diagonally.

Lift up the Registration roller guide B.
And then pull the Registration roller
guide B toward you.

(3) Removing the paper wound around the registration roller
Remove the paper wound around the registration roller.
The registration roller rotates by turning the feed knob inside the front door.
Remove the paper around the Registration roller.

(4) Clean the registration roller with a soft cloth soaked with alcohol solvent.
After removing the glue attached to the registration roller, wipe with a soft and
dry cloth.

Clean entire registration roller with turning the feed knob.

(5) Attaching the registration roller guide B.
Insert obliquely the registration roller guide B from the rear side of the guide.
Slide the hooks (2 pcs.) to the sheet metal of the printer to fix the registration
roller guide B.
♦ CAUTION ♦
Please be careful not to drop the thumbscrews inside the printer.
Make sure that the guide float is not caused and fix it with
thumbscrews (2 pcs.).

And then insert the Registration roller

(6) Attaching the registration roller guide A.
Attach the registration roller guide A and fix it with thumbscrews (2 pcs.).
♦ CAUTION ♦
Please be careful not to drop the thumbscrews inside the printer.

9 Place the transferring part back in place by turning the suction belt unit release
lever counterclockwise until it clicks.
10 Close the front door.

11 Install the sheet feeder.
• While holding the sheet feeder with both
hands, insert it obliquely from above the
mounting hole of the printer.
• Push the lever backward to lock the sheet
feeder.
♦ Checkpoint ♦
Push the sheet feeder into the Cutter unit
to connect the Connector A on the Cutter
unit and Connector B on the sheet feeder
properly.

12 Install the roll holder.
(1) Load the roll paper paying attention to the direction of the roll paper.
Set it based on the position of the Flange B.
♦ Checkpoint ♦
As shown in the figure below, make sure that the printed surface is face up and then load
the roll paper.
(2) Align the slit position of Flange A with the slit position of Flange B.
Insert the Flange A until it hits the set roll paper without a gap and then fix the
roll paper by turning the media fixing knob clockwise.

(3) Fix the Flange A with the flange fixing screw.
♦ CAUTION ♦
Do not fix the flange fixing screws on a scale-printed surface of the shaft.
There is a possibility that the printed scale on the shaft disappears.
