NOISE/VIBRATION INFORMATION
Sound emission values determined according to EN
60745-2-4.
Typically the A-weighted sound pressure level of the
product is 77 dB(A). Uncertainty K=3 dB.
The noise level when working can exceed 80 dB(A).
Wear hearing protection!
Vibration total values ah(triax vector sum) and uncertainty
K determined according to EN 60745-2-4: ah=4.5m/s2,
K=1.5m/s2.
The vibration level given in this information sheet has
been measured in accordance with a standardised test
given in EN 60745 and may be used to compare one tool
with another.
It may be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
The declared vibration emission level represents the
main applications of the tool. However if the tool is used
for different applications, with different accessories or
insertion tools or is poorly maintained, the vibration
emission may differ. This may signicantly increase the
exposure level over the total working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should
also take into account the times when the tool is switched
off or when it is running but not actually doing the job.
This may signicantly reduce the exposure level over the
total working period. Identify additional safety measures
to protect the operator from the effects of vibration such
as: maintain the tool and the accessories, keep the hands
warm, organisation of work patterns.
ASSEMBLY
Battery Charging
■Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. Only
these chargers are matched to the lithium-ion battery
of your power tool.
Note: The battery supplied is partially charged. To ensure
full capacity of the battery, completely charge the battery
in the battery charger before using your power tool for the
rst time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time
without reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging
procedure does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep
discharging by the “Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)”.
When the battery is empty, the machine is switched off by
means of a protective circuit: The inserted tool no longer
rotates.
■Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the
machine has been automatically switched off. The
battery can be damaged.
Observe the notes for disposal.
Removing the battery (see gure A)
To remove the battery 4, press the battery unlocking
button 8 and pull the battery out of the power tool toward
the rear. Do not exert any force.

Replacing the Sanding Sheet (see gure B-C)
To remove the sanding sheet 10, lift it from the side and
pull it off of the sanding plate 6.
When attaching a new sanding sheet, remove any dust or
debris from the sanding plate 6, e. g., with a brush.
The surface of the sanding plate 6 is fitted with Velcro
backing for quick and easy fastening of sanding sheets
with Velcro adhesion.
Press the sanding sheet 10 rmly against the bottom side
of the sanding plate 6.
To ensure optimum dust extraction, pay attention that the
punched holes in the sanding sheet match with the holes
in the sanding plate.
The dust box (alignment aid) 11 can be used for alignment
of the sanding sheet 10 on the sanding plate 6. Place
the sanding sheet with the Velcro facing upward on the
alignment aid. Press the cams of the alignment aid into
two holes of the sanding plate and roll off the sanding
sheet from the alignment aid. Press the sanding sheet
rmly against the sanding plate.
Note: A correctly positioned sanding sheet is required to
ensure low vibration of the power tool during operation.
Selection of the Sanding Plate
Depending on the application, the machine can be
equipped with sanding plates of different hardness:
– Sanding plate, medium (black): Suitable for all
sanding work; universally usable.
– Sanding plate, soft (grey, accessory): Suitable for
intermediate and fine sanding, incl. on convex
surfaces.
Replacing the Sanding Plate (see gures D–E)
Note: Replace a damaged sanding plate 6 immediately.
Pull off the sanding sheet or the polishing accessory.
Unscrew the four screws 12 completely and remove the
sanding plate 6.
Clean the upper side of the new sanding plate 6. Apply a
thin coat of synthetic grease to the outer ring hatched grey
in the gure.
Attach the new sanding plate 6 and tighten the four
screws again.
Note: A damaged sanding-plate base 13 may be changed
only by an authorised after-sales service agent for power
tools.
Dust/Chip Extraction
■Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful
to one’s health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can
cause allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory
infections of the user or bystanders.
Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered
carcinogenic, especially in connection with wood-
treatment additives (chromate, wood preservative).
Materials containing asbestos may only be worked by
specialists.
– As far as possible, use a dust extraction system
suitable for the material.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 lter-class
respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for
the materials to be worked.
■Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can
easily ignite.
Integrated Dust Extraction with Dust Box(see
gures F-G)
To empty the dust box assembly 5, pull dust box 11 off
the power tool by squeezing both sides of dust box 11.

Note: To ensure optimum dust extraction, empty the
dust box assembly 5 in good time and clean the dust
box 11 at regular intervals.
When working vertical surfaces, hold the power tool
in such a manner that the dust box assembly 5 faces
downward.
External Dust Extraction (see gure H-J)
Pull the dust box assembly 5 off toward the bottom
with a twisting motion.
Mount a vacuum hose 15 onto the extraction outlet 14.
Connect the vacuum hose 15 with a vacuum cleaner.
An overview for the connection of various vacuum
cleaners can be found at the end of these instructions.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the material
being worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially detrimental
to health or carcinogenic, use a special vacuum
cleaner.
When working vertical surfaces, hold the power tool in
such a manner that the vacuum hose faces downward.
Auxiliary Handle (see gure K)
The auxiliary handle 7 enables convenient handling
and optimal distribution of power, especially at high
removal rates. For sanding close to edges, the
auxiliary handle can be removed. Unscrew wing nut
17 and pull screw 16 out of the housing. Now, pull off
the auxiliary handle 7 toward the front. To remount
the auxiliary handle 7, slide it from the front onto the
housing in such a manner that the studs of the handle
engage into the recesses of the housing. Firmly tighten
the auxiliary handle with the screw 16 and the wing nut
17.
Setting the Auxiliary Handle (see gure L)
The auxiliary handle can be set to three positions. To
change the position, loosen the wing nut 17 (approx.
2 – 3 turns). Set the auxiliary handle and retighten the
wing nut.
STARTING OPERATION
Inserting the battery
Slide the charged battery 4 into the power tool from
behind until the battery is securely locked.
Switching On and Off
To start the machine, turn on the On/Off switch 2
forward so that the “1” is indicated on the switch.
To switch off the machine, turn off the On/Off switch
2 toward the rear so that the “0” is indicated on the
switch.
To save energy, only switch the power tool on when
using it.
Preselecting the Orbital Stroke Rate
With the thumbwheel for preselection of the orbital
stroke rate 1, you can preselect the required orbital
stroke rate, even during operation.
1 – 2 Low stroke rate
3 – 4 Medium stroke rate
5 – 6 High stroke rate
The required stroke rate depends on the material and
the working conditions and can be determined through
practical testing.
After longer periods of working at low stroke rate, allow
the machine to cool down by running it for approx. 3
minutes at maximum stroke rate with no load.
Restarting Protection
The restarting protection feature prevents uncontrolled
restarting of the machine after an interruption in the
power supply.
To restart the operation, switch the On/Off switch 2 to
the Off position and start the machine again.
WORKING ADVICE
■Before any work on the power tool, remove the battery.
■Wait until the machine has come to a standstill before
placing it down.
Sanding Surfaces
Switch the machine on, place it with the complete
sanding surface on the surface to be worked and
move the machine with moderate pressure over the
workpiece.
The removal capacity and the sanding pattern are
mainly determined by the selection of the sanding
sheet, the preselected orbital stroke rate and the
applied pressure.
Only flawless sanding sheets achieve good sanding
capacity and extend the service life of the machine.
Pay attention to apply uniform sanding pressure; this
increases the working life of the sanding sheets.
Intensifiying the sanding pressure does not lead to an
increase of the sanding capacity, but to increased wear
of the machine and the sanding sheet.
A sanding sheet that has been used for metal should
not be used for other materials.
Use only original sanding accessories.
Rough Sanding
Attach a sanding sheet with coarse grain.

Apply only light pressure to the machine so that it runs
at a higher stroke rate and high material removal is
achieved.
Fine Sanding
Attach a sanding sheet with fine grain.
By lightly varying the application pressure or changing
the orbital stroke rate, the sanding plate stroke rate can
be reduced whereby the orbital action is maintained.
With moderate pressure, move the machine in a circular
pattern or alternately in lengthwise and crosswise
directions over the workpiece. Do not tilt the machine
to avoid sanding through the workpiece (e. g. when
sanding veneer).
After finishing the working procedure, switch the power
tool off.
Polishing
For the polishing of weathered paint or buffing out
scratches (e.g., acrylic glass), the machine can be
equipped with appropriate polishing accessories
such as lamb’s wool bonnet, polishing felt or sponge
(accessories).
Select a low orbital stroke rate (level 1 – 4) when
polishing in order to avoid heating up the surface
excessively.
Apply the polish onto a somewhat smaller surface than
you intend to polish. Work the polishing agent in with
a suitable polishing tool applying it crosswise or with
circular motion and moderate pressure.
Do not allow the polishing agent to dry out on the
surface, otherwise the surface can become damaged.
Do not subject the surface to be polished to direct
sunlight.
Clean the polishing accessories regularly to ensure
good polishing results. Wash out polishing accessories
with a mild detergent and warm water; do not use paint
thinner.

Recommendations for Optimal Handling of the
Battery
Protect the battery against moisture and water.
Occasionally clean the venting slots of the battery using
a soft, clean and dry brush.
A significantly reduced working period after charging
indicates that the battery is used and must be replaced.
Observe the notes for disposal.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
■Before any work on the machine itself (e. g.
maintenance, tool change, etc.) as well as during
transport and storage, remove the battery from
the power tool. There is danger of injury when
unintentionally actuating the On/Off switch.
■For safe and proper working, always keep the machine
and ventilation slots clean.
When the battery is no longer operative, please refer to
an authorised after-sales service agent for power tools.
DISPOSAL
The machine, rechargeable batteries,
accessories and packaging should be sorted
for environmentalfriendly recycling.
Do not dispose of power tools and batteries/rechargeable
batteries into household waste!
ENVIROMENTAL PRORENCTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing
of as waste. The machine, accessories and
packaging should be sorted for environmental-
friendly recycling.

Зарядка аккумулятора
■Пользуйтесь только зарядными устройствами, ука-

Перед установкой новой шлифовальной шкурки
удалите загрязнения и пыль с опорной шлифовальной
тарелки 6, напр., кисточкой.
Поверхность опорной шлифовальной тарелки 6
выполнена из липучей ткани, чтобы можно было
быстро и удобно заменять шлифовальные шкурки,
оснащенные липучкой.
Прижмите шлифовальную шкурку 10 плотно к нижней
стороне опорной шлифовальной тарелки 6.
Для обеспечения оптимального отсоса пыли
отверстия в шлифовальной шкурке должны совпадать
с отверстиями в опорной шлифовальной тарелке.
Пылесборник (со вспомогательными выступами)
11 используется для совмещения шлифовального
листа 10 и шлифовальной пластины 6. Поместите
шлифовальный лист липучкой вверх на
вспомогательные выступы. Вставьте вспомогательные
выступы в два отверстия на шлифовальной пластине
и разверните шлифовальный лист. Плотно придавите
шлифовальный лист к шлифовальной пластине.
Указание: Для снижения вибрации
электроинструмента при эксплуатации необходимо
правильно размещать шлифовальную шкурку.
Выбор опорной шлифовальной тарелки
В зависимости от применения на электроинструмент
можно ставить опорные шлифовальные тарели
различной твердости:

Замена опорной шлифовальной тарелки
(см. рис. D–E)
Указание: Немедленно меняйте поврежденную
опорную шлифовальную тарелку 6.
Снимите шлифовальную шкурку или полировальный
инструмент. Полностью выкрутите четыре винта 12 и
снимите опорную шлифовальную тарелку 6.
Прочистите верхнюю сторону новой опорной
шлифовальной тарелки 6. Нанесите на
заштрихованное серым внешнее кольцо тонкий слой
синтетической смазки.
Установите новую опорную шлифовальную тарелку 6
и снова затяните винты.
Указание: Поврежденное крепление опорной
шлифовальной тарелки 13 можно менять только
в авторизованной сервисной мастерской для
электроинструментов.
Отсос пыли и стружки
■Пыль некоторых материалов, как напр., красок
с содержанием свинца, некоторых сортов
древесины, минералов и металлов, может быть
вредной для здоровья. Прикосновение к пыли
и попадание пыли в дыхательные пути может
вызвать аллергические реакции и/или заболевания
дыхательных путей оператора или находящегося
вблизи персонала.
Определенные виды пыли, напр., дуба и бука,
считаются канцерогенными, особенно совместно
с присадками для обработки древесины (хромат,
средство для за- щиты древесины). Материал с
содержанием асбеста разрешается обрабатывать
только специалистам.
– По возможности используйте пригодный для
материала пылеотсос.
– Хорошо проветривайте рабочее место.
– Рекомендуется пользоваться респираторной ма-
ской с фильтром класса Р2.
Соблюдайте действующие в Вашей стране предписа-
ния для обрабатываемых материалов.
■Избегайте скопления пыли на рабочем месте.
Пыль может легко воспламеняться.
Встроенная система пылеудаления с
пылесборником (см. рис. F-G)
Чтобы опустошить пылесборник 5, снимите его 11 с
электроинструмента, сжав зажимы с обеих сторон
пылесборника 11.
Опустошите пылесборник 11 и очистите его мягкой
тряпкой.
Примечание. Для обеспечения эффективного
пылеудаления регулярно опустошайте
пылесборник 5 и очищайте его корпус 11.
Обрабатывая вертикальные поверхности,
держите электроинструмент таким образом, чтобы
пылесборник 5 смотрел вниз.

Снимите пылесборник 5, отвернув его.
Подключите всасывающий шланг 15 к
пылеотводящему выходу 14. Подключите
всасывающий шланг 15 к пылесосу. Обзор
подключения различных пылесосов представлен в
конце настоящей инструкции.
Пылесос должен быть пригоден для
обрабатываемого материала.
Применяйте специальный пылесос для
отсасывания особо вредных для здоровья видов
пыли – возбудителей рака или сухой пыли.
При обработке вертикальных поверхностей
держите электроинструмент шлангом отсасывания
вниз.
Вспомогательная ручка (см. рис. K)
Вспомогательная ручка 7 позволяет удобно
держать электроинструмент и оптимально
распределять мощность, особенно на высоких
оборотах двигателя. При шлифовании вблизи
краев вспомогательную ручку можно снимать.
Открутите барашковую гайку 17 и извлеките винт
16 из корпуса. Теперь снимите вспомогательную
ручку 7, сдвинув ее вперед. Чтобы поставить
вспомогательную ручку 7, сдвиньте ее на корпус
таким образом, чтобы она вошла в углубления
корпуса. Закрепите вспомогательную ручку винтом
16 и барашковой гайкой 17.
Регулировка положения вспомогательной
ручки (см. рис. L)
Вспомогательную ручку можно установить в трех
положениях. Чтобы изменить положение, ослабьте
барашковую гайку 17 (примерно 2 – 3 поворота).
Измените положение вспомогательной ручки и
затяните барашковую гайку.

Включение/выключение
Чтобы запустить устройство, передвиньте
выключатель питания 2 вперед, чтобы он оказался
в положении «1».
Чтобы выключить устройство, передвиньте

положении «0».
В целях экономии электроэнергии включайте
электроинструмент только тогда, когда Вы
собираетесь работать с ним.
Настройка частоты колебаний
С помощью установочного колесика 1 Вы можете
регулировать частоту колебаний также и во время
работы.
1 – 2 низкое число колебаний
3 – 4 среднее число колебаний
5 – 6 высокое число колебаний
Необходимая частота колебаний зависит от
материала и условий работы и может быть
определена практическим способом.
После продолжительной работы с низким числом
колебаний электроинструмент следует включить
прибл. на 3 мин на максимальное число колебаний
на холостом ходу для охлаждения.
Защита от непреднамеренного запуска
Защита от непреднамеренного включения
предотвращает неконтролируемый запуск
электроинструмента после перерыва в подаче
питания.
Для повторного включения переведите
выключатель 2 в выключенное положение и снова
включите электроинструмент.
УКАЗАНИЯ ПО ПРИМЕНЕНИЮ
■До начала работ по техобслуживанию и настройке
электроинструмента выньте аккумулятор.
■Дайте электроинструменту полностью
остановиться и только после этого выпустите его
из рук.
Шлифование поверхностей
Включите электроинструмент, приставьте его
всей абразивной поверхностью к обрабатываемой
заготовке и перемещайте с умеренным прижатием
по заготовке.
Производительность по съему и картина
шлифовочных штрихов зависят главным
образом от выбранной шлифовальной шкурки,
предустановленной частоты колебаний и усилия
прижатия.
Только безупречные шлифовальные шкурки
обеспечивают хорошую производительность и
щадят электроинструмент.
Следите за равномерным усилием прижатия, чтобы
повысить срок службы шлифовальных шкурок.
Чрезмерное повышение усилия прижатия не
ведет к повышению производительности, а к
более сильному износу электроинструмента и
шлифовальной шкурки.
Не используйте шлифовальную шкурку, которой
Вы обрабатывали металл, для обработки других
материалов.
Применяйте только оригинальные принадлежности.
Грубое шлифование
Наложите шлифовальную шкурку с более крупной
зернистостью.
Легко прижимайте электроинструмент, чтобы он
работал с высоким числом колебаний и достигал
высокого съема материала.
Тонкое шлифование
Наложите шлифовальную шкурку с мелкой
зернистостью.
Небольшим варьированием усилия прижатия или
переключением частоты колебаний Вы можете
снизить частоту колебаний опорной шлифовальной
тарелки с сохранением эксцентричного движения.
Перемещайте электроинструмент с умеренным
усилием прижатия всей поверхностью круговыми
движениями или попеременно в продольном
и поперечном направлениях по детали. Не
перекашивайте электроинструмент, иначе это
может привести к прорезанию обрабатываемой
заготовки, например, фанеры.
По окончании рабочей операции выключите
электроин струмент.
Полирование
Для обновления обветрившихся лаков и для
полирования с целью удаления царапин (например,
акриловое стекло) электроинструмент может быть
оснащен соответствующими полировальными
инструментами, как то, полировальным кругом
из овчинной шерсти, фетровым и губчатым
полировальным кругом.
Для полирования выбирайте низкую частоту
колебаний (ступень 1 – 4) во избежание чрезмерного
нагрева поверхности.
Нанесите полировальное средство на несколько
меньшую площадь чем та, которую Вы хотите
полировать. Вотрите полировальное средство с

Не давайте полировальному средству засохнуть
на поверхности, иначе возможно повреждение
поверхности. Не подвергайте полируемую

Регулярно очищайте полировальный инструмент
для обеспечения хороших результатов
полирования. Промывайте полировальный
инструмент неагрессивным моющим средством и
теплой водой, не применяйте растворители.

аккумулятором
Защищайте аккумулятор от влаги и воды.
Время от времени прочищайте вентиляционные
прорези аккумулятора мягкой, сухой и чистой
кисточкой.
Значительное сокращение продолжительности
работы после заряда свидетельствует о старении
аккумулятора и указывает на необходимость его
замены.
Учитывайте указания по утилизации.
ТЕХОБСЛУЖИВАНИЕ И ОЧИСТКА
■До начала работ по техобслуживанию, смене ин-
струмента и т. д., а также при транспортировке и
хранении вынимайте аккумулятор из электроин-
струмента. При непреднамеренном включении

PERIOD OF WARRANTY
All new Greenworks Tools machinery is supplied with a 2 year parts
and labour warranty from original date of purchase. A 30 day warranty
is available for machines used professionally as Greenworks Tools are
designed primarily to be used by DIY consumers.
This warranty is non-transferable.
LIMITATIONS
This warranty applies only to defective parts/components and does not
cover repairs due to:
1. Normal wear and tear.
2. Routine tune up or adjustment.
3. Damage caused by improper handling/abuse/misuse or neglect.
4. Overheating due to lack of maintenance.
5. Damage due to ttings/fasteners becoming loose/detached through
lack of maintenance.
6. Damage caused by cleaning with water.
7. Machines serviced or repaired by non-authorised Greenworks Tools
service centres.
8. Machines incorrectly assembled or adjusted.
9. Damage caused by improper use of the machine.
10. Damage caused by improper winterisation (pressure washers)
11. Items considered as consumable parts are not normally covered by
the warranty, including but not limited to:
• Batteries
• Electric cables
• Blade and blade assemblies
• Belts
• Filters
• Chucks and tool holders
12. Certain products may contain components such as engines,
transmissions from an alternative manufacturer, these items will be
subject to the appropriate manufacturer’s warranty policy except
where Greenworks Tools Europe GmbH agrees to underwrite any
claims outside the said manufacturer’s warranty period.
13. Second hand goods are not covered under this warranty policy.
14. The tting of spares, replacements or extra components which are
not supplied or approved by Greenworks Tools Europe GmbH.
Warranty
To claim a warranty on any product under this policy a proof of original
purchase is required. Credit card statement do not qualify as sufcient
proof of purchase. In the rst instance of a warranty event occurring the
consumer should return the product to the original place of purchase
with their proof of purchase. The machine will be sent to our central
service facility and an inspection made. If the machine be found to be
at fault it will be repaired and sent back to the address of the consumer
free of charge. Machines that retail for less than €100 euros including
sales taxes will generally be replaced.
If the central service facility nds that machine is not found to be at fault
then the consumer will be advised they will need to pay for the cost of
the repair.
This warranty policy is subject to change from time to time to
accommodate the needs of new products. A copy of the latest warranty
policy will be available at www.greenworkstools.eu.

ОГРАНИЧЕНИЯ
Настоящая гарантия распространяется только на дефектные части
/ компоненты и не охватывает ремонт, который потребовался как
следствие:
1. Нормального износа..
2. Плановой настройки или регулировки.
3. Ущерб, причиненный в результате неправильного обращения /
ненадлежащего использования или пренебрежения.
4. Перегрев из-за отсутствия технического обслуживания.
5. Повреждения, вызванные разбалтыванием / отсоединением
фитингов / крепежных деталей, из-за отсутствия технического
обслуживания.
6. Повреждения, вызванные очисткой при помощи воды.
7. Агрегаты, обслуживание или ремонт которых проводился не
авторизованными сервисными центрами компании Greenworks.
8. Агрегаты, неправильно собранные или отрегулированные.
9. Повреждения, вызванные неправильным использованием агрегата.
10. Ущерб, причиненный в результате неправильной подготовки к
эксплуатации в зимний период (моющие устройства высокого
давления).
11. Позиции, рассматриваемые в качестве расходуемых деталей,
иобычно не покрываемые гарантией, включая, но не ограничиваясь,
следующим:
• Электрические кабели
• Ножи и режущие полотна
• Ремни
• Фильтры
• Зажимные устройства и держатели инструмента
12. Подержанные товары не подпадают под данные гарантийные
