UTILIZZO CONFORME AGLI SCOPI PREVISTI
Questo utensile elettrico è destinato a funzionare come levigatrice.
Leggere tutti gli avvertimenti di sicurezza, le istruzioni, le
illustrazioni e le specifiche forniti con questo utensile elettrico. Il
mancato rispetto di tutte le istruzioni sotto riportate può causare una
scossa elettrica, un incendio e/o un incidente grave.
Le operazioni di molatura, lucidatura, spazzolatura metallica o di
taglio non sono consigliate con questo utensile elettrico. Le
operazioni per le quali non è previsto l’utensile elettrico possono
provocare un pericolo e causare danni alle persone.
Non utilizzare accessori non specificatamente realizzati dal
produttore di utensile e da lui consigliati. Il semplice fatto che
l’accessorio possa essere fissato al vostro utensile non garantisce un
funzionamento in tutta sicurezza.
La velocità nominale dell’accessorio deve essere almeno pari alla
velocità massima indicata sull’utensile elettrico. Gli accessori fatti
funzionare a una velocità superiore a quella nominale possono
rompersi ed essere proiettati in aria.
Il diametro esterno e lo spessore del vostro accessorio devono
essere adatti alle caratteristiche di capacità del vostro utensile
elettrico. Gli accessori che hanno dimensione non corrette possono
essere protetti o controllati adeguatamente.
La conformazione degli accessori deve adattarsi correttamente al
mandrino dell’utensile elettrico. Gli accessori dotati di fori dell’albero
che non corrispondono agli elementi di montaggio sull’utensile
elettrico non rimarranno in equilibrio, vibreranno eccessivamente e
potranno provocare una perdita di controllo.
Non usare un accessorio danneggiato. Se l’utensile elettrico o
l’accessorio ha subito una caduta, esaminare i danni eventuali o
installare un accessorio non danneggiato. Dopo aver esaminato e
installato un accessorio, mettetevi, insieme alle persone presenti,
a distanza dal piano dell’accessorio rotante e fate funzionare
l’utensile elettrico alla velocità massima a vuoto per un minuto. Gli
accessori danneggiati si romperanno in genere in questo periodo di
prova.

AVVERTENZE DI SICUREZZA SPECIFICHE PER LE
OPERAZIONI DI LEVIGATURA
Se l’utilizzo di un utensile elettrico in un luogo umido è inevi-
tabile, utilizzare un’alimentazione protetta da un interruttore
differenziale (RCD). L’utilizzo di un interruttore differenziale (RCD)
riduce il rischio di scossa elettrica.

MESSA IN FUNZIONE
Prima di mettere in funzione la macchina accertarsi che:
- l’imballo sia integro e non mostri segni di danneggiamento
dovuti a trasporto e magazzinaggio;
- la macchina sia completa; controllare che numero e natura dei
componenti siano conformi a quanto riportato sul presente
libretto;
- la fonte di energia e le prese di corrente a disposizione possano
sopportare il carico indicato in tabella e riportato sulla targhetta
d’identificazione della macchina il cui facsimile, con spiegazioni,
è riportato a pag. 7.
MONTAGGIO DELLA MACCHINA
Collegare il dispositivo di aspirazione al bocchettone (10) il tubo di
aspirazione.
MONTAGGIO DELLA CARTA ABRASIVA
CARTA ABRASIVA VELCRATA
- Premere il foglio di carta abrasiva velcrata sulla piastra avendo
cura che i fori della carta siano in corrispondenza di quelli della
piastra di gomma;
- fare attenzione che la piastra velcro non presenti tracce di pol-
vere o altro;
CARTA ABRASIVA
inserire la carta abrasiva sotto la leva fino alla battuta quindi rila-
sciare la leva;
- ripetere le operazioni precedenti sul lato opposto della piastra, te-
nendo ben tesa la carta e controllare che i bordi siano paralleli al
bordo della piastra gomma (6), prima di rilasciare la leva;
- forare la carta con l’attrezzo (8).
PRIMA DELLA MESSA IN SERVIZIO
Accertarsi che:
- la fonte di energia sia conforme alle caratteristiche della macchina;
- cavo di alimentazione e relativa spina siano in perfetto stato;
- l'interruttore di inserimento/disinserimento sia efficiente operando,
però, a spina disinserita;
- tutti i componenti della macchina siano montati correttamente e
non presentino segni di danneggiamento;
- le feritoie di ventilazione non siano ostruite (9);
- la macchina sia correttamente collegata ad un sistema
d’aspirazione idoneo ed efficiente (10).
AVVIAMENTO E FERMATA
- Avviamento: spingere in avanti la slitta dell'interruttore (2); qua-
lora se ne desideri il bloccaggio in posizione “inserito” premere
contemporaneamente sulla parte anteriore della slitta.
- Fermata: rilasciare la slitta o, qualora sia bloccata, spingere sulla
parte posteriore e lasciare che la stessa ritorni nella posizione di
“arresto”.
FUNZIONAMENTO DI PROVA
Avviare la macchina e controllare che non siano presenti vibrazioni
anomale o scentrature della carta abrasiva.
In caso contrario spegnere la macchina immediatamente e
provvedere ad eliminare le anomalie.

REGOLAZIONE DEL NUMERO DEI GIRI
La regolazione del numero di giri si ottiene manovrando opportuna-
mente la rotella (3) posta nella parte posteriore della macchina. La
scelta della velocità va fatta in funzione delle caratteristiche dei dischi
di carta abrasiva e del materiale da lavorare.
REGOLAZIONE DEL FLUSSO DI ASPIRAZIONE
Il flusso di aspirazione può essere regolato ruotando la ghiera (4).
SOSTITUZIONE DELLA CARTA ABRASIVA
CARTA ABRASIVVA VELCRATA
- Asportare a strappo il foglio di carta usato;
- montare a pressione il nuovo foglio avendo cura che i fori praticati
sullo stesso coincidano con i fori di aspirazione praticati sulla piastra.
CARTA ABRASIVA
- Sollevare le leve fermacarta (7) premendo sulle apposite appendici
e rimuovere il foglio usato;
- rimontare il nuovo foglio seguendo le istruzioni indicate nel capitolo
“MONTAGGIO DELLA CARTA ABRASIVA”.
UTENSILI DI LAVORO AMMESSI
- Fogli di carta abrasiva per levigatrici orbitali;
- Fogli di carta abrasiva forati velcrati.
MANUTENZIONE
Tutte le operazioni vanno eseguite a spina disinserita.
A fine lavoro, od in caso di necessità, spolverare con getto di aria
compressa il corpo macchina prestando particolare attenzione alla
pulizia delle feritoie di ventilazione del motore.
Non sono ammessi altri interventi da parte dell'utente.
Per la manutenzione e la periodica pulizia delle parti interne, come
spazzole, cuscinetti, ingranaggi, etc. o altre necessità rivolgersi ai
Centri di Assistenza autorizzati.
SICUREZZA ELETTRICA - BASSA TENSIONE
Le prove/verifiche sono state eseguite in accordo alle norme:
EN 60745-1 sicurezza degli utensili elettrici a motore portatili
EN 60745-2-4 norme particolari per levigatrici.
SCHERMATURA CONTRO I RADIODISTURBI
Le macchine sono conformi agli effetti della prevenzione ed elimina-
zione dei radiodisturbi misurati secondo le norme EN55014-1+
EN55014-2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
FORMAZIONE DI RUMORE
Il livello equivalente di pressione sonora è di 86 dB (A) / K = 3
dB(A),misurati secondo le norme EN 60745-1.
Attenzione: indossare adeguati presidi per la difesa dell'udito!
(vedi avvertenze generali).
VALORE MEDIO DELL'ACCELERAZIONE
Il valore quadratico medio dell'accelerazione è 5.5 m/s2/ K= 1.5 m/s2
misurati secondo le norme EN 60745-1.
GARANZIA
Tutte le macchine costruite dalla RUPES Spa sono garantite per 12
mesi dalla data di acquisto contro difetti di materiale e di fabbricazione.
Le macchine devono essere utilizzate esclusivamente con accessori e
ricambi originali RUPES: si declina ogni responsabilità per danni o in-
cidenti provocati dall’inosservanza della presente norma che causa
anche il decadimento della garanzia. La garanzia decade qualora non
vengano rispettate le prescrizioni del presente libretto o qualora venga
fatto uso improprio della macchina. Decade altresì se la macchina
viene smontata o manomessa o se vi sono evidenti danni derivanti da
cattiva cura della stessa. La garanzia è subordinata alla compila-
zione del tagliando riportato sull’ultima pagina di copertina del
presente libretto d'istruzioni. In caso di accertato malfunzionamento
la macchina, accompagnata dal certificato di garanzia, dovrà essere
consegnata o spedita franco di porto, non smontata e nell'imballo ori-
ginale, al fabbricante o ad un Centro di Assistenza autorizzato riportato
nell'elenco allegato al presente libretto. In ogni caso la garanzia non
dà diritto alla sostituzione della macchina. La RUPES Spa si riserva di
apportare qualsiasi modifica alle caratteristiche tecniche o estetiche
dei propri prodotti senza preavviso. Non si assume nessuna respon-
sabilità per eventuali errori di stampa. Il presente stampato annulla e
sostituisce i precedenti.

TARGHETTA DI IDENTIFICAZIONE DELLA MACCHINA
POSIZIONAMENTO E SIGNIFICATO DEI DATI
1. Tipo della macchina.
2. Tensione nominale di lavoro in Volt (V).
3. Frequenza di lavoro in Hertz (Hz).
4. Corrente assorbita espressa in Ampere (A). Accertarsi che la linea
elettrica cui viene allacciata la macchina possa agevolmente sop-
portare almeno la corrente indicata.
5. Potenza assorbita espressa in Watt (W).
6. Numero di matricola o di serie della macchina.
7. Dati tecnici della macchina.
8. Numero di giri/min.
9. Il doppio quadrato indica che la macchina è in doppio isolamento
e quindi non necessita di messa a terra tramite il cordone di ali-
mentazione.
10. Leggere tutte queste istruzioni prima di azionare il presente
prodotto.
11. Dispositivi di protezione individuale.
12. Il prodotto, in ottemperanza alla Direttiva Europea
2002/96/CE(RAEE) +2003/108/CE e alla sua attuazione nel diritto
nazionale, quando giunge a fine vita, non deve essere disperso
nell’ambiente o gettato tra i rifiuti domestici, ma deve esse smaltito
presso i centri di raccolta differenziata autorizzati (contattare le au-
torità locali competenti per conoscere dove smaltire il prodotto se-
condo le norme di legge). Il corretto smaltimento del prodotto
contribuisce alla tutela della salute e alla salvaguardia dell’am-
biente. Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto comporta sanzioni a
carico dei trasgressori.

GENERAL WARNINGS
The safety and accident prevention instructions are reported in the
“SAFETY INSTRUCTION” booklet which forms an integral part of
these documents; the operating instructions indicate the additio-
nal information required specifically for use of the tool.
CORRECT USAGE
This electrical tool is designed to be used as a sander. Read all
the warnings, instructions, indications provided on drawings and
specifications supplied with this electrical tool. Failure to comply
with all the instructions provided below may cause electrical shocks,
fires and/or serious injuries.
This tool is not intended to be used for metal brushing, polishing
and cutting operations. The use of this tool for unintended applica-
tions may cause hazards and injuries to people.
The tool must be used with accessories that have been specifi-
cally designed or recommended by the manufacturer. The fixing of
the accessory to the tool does not guarantee a safe operation.
The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equivalent to
the maximum speed specified on the electrical tool. Using the ac-
cessories at speeds above the rated one may cause them to break or
be projected into the air.
The external diameter and thickness of the accessory must match
the specifications of the electrical tool. Accessories with incorrect di-
mensions cannot be adequately protected or controlled.
The configuration of grinding wheels, flanges, support pads or
any other accessory must match the electrical tool. The use of ac-
cessories that cannot be perfectly fitted on the electrical tool may re-
sult in imbalance, excessive vibrations and in the impossibility of
controlling the tool.
Do not use damaged accessories. Before use, inspect all the ac-
cessories. Inspect the abrasive grinding wheels and verify that
there are no splits or cracks. Inspect the supporting pads and ve-
rify there are no cracks, tears or excessive wear. Inspect the metal
brushes and verify that there are no loose or broken wires. If the
electrical tool or accessory has fallen, verify that it is not dama-
ged or install a new accessory. After inspecting or installing an ac-
cessory, test the operation of the tool at maximum speed and
without load for one minute, keeping at a safety distance. If the ac-
cessories are damaged, they will break during this test.
The tool must be connected to a suitable dust extraction system (not supplied).
The values shown are based on a nominal voltage of 230V/50Hz. In the case of voltages and frequencies of different power values may vary.
Refer to the label technical specifications to the nominal values of the tool.

SAFETY WARNINGS APPLICABLE TO SANDING OPERATIONS
If the use of an electrical tool in a damp area cannot be avoided,
use a power supply fitted with a differential switch (RCD).
This type of switch reduces the risk of electrical shocks.

STARTING UP
Before starting-up the tool, ensure that:
- the packaging is complete and does not show signs of having been
damaged during storage or transport;
- the tool is complete; check that the number and type of
components comply with that reported in this instruction booklet;
- the power supply and socket outlet can support the load reported in
the table and that indicated on the tool identification plate
reproduced and explained on page 11.
ASSEMBLING THE TOOL
Connect the extraction device by the suction pipe in the nozzle (10).
INSERTING THE ABRASIVE PAPER
ABRASIVE VELCRO PAPER
- Press the velcro backed abrasive paper in position, ensuring that the
holes in the paper coincide with the suction holes in the rubber plate;
- make sure that there is no dust or other matter on the velcro pad.
ABRASIVE PAPER
- Lift the paper clamping lever (7) by pressing the lever release;
- insert the abrasive paper under the lever until it rests against the stop,
then release the lever;
- repeat this operation on the opposite side of the plate, keeping the
paper taut and checking that the edges are parallel with the edges of
the plate before releasing the lever;
- punch the paper using the tool supplied (8).
BEFORE STARTING THE TOOL
Ensure that:
- the power supply conforms with the characteristics of the tool;
- the power supply cable and plug are in perfect condition;
- the ON/OFF switch works properly though with the power supply di-
sconnected;
- all the parts of the tool have been assembled in the proper manner
and that there are no signs of damage;
- the ventilation slots are not obstructed (9);
- the tool must be connected to a suitable and efficient dust extraction
system (10).
STARTING AND STOPPING
- Starting: push the slide of the switch (2) forward; if the tool is to be
locked in the ON position, apply pressure to the front part of the slide
switch at the same time.
- Stopping: release the slide or, if locked in position, apply pressure to
the back part of the switch and allow it to return to the stop position.
TEST RUN
Start the tool and check that there are no unusual vibration, no dismat-
ching of the abrasive paper.
Otherwise switch-off the tool immediately and eliminate the cause.

SELECTING THE RPM
The rpm can be adjusted by rotating the wheel (3) located on the rear
of the tool. The choice of speed depends on the characteristics of the
abrasive paper disc and the material to be worked.
ADJUSTING THE DUST EXTRACTION FLOW
The extraction flow can be adjusted by rotating ring-nut (4).
REPLACING ABRASIVE PAPER
ABRASIVE VELCRO PAPER
- Rip off the used paper;
- press the new velcro backed paper in position, ensuring that the
holes in the paper coincide with the suction holes in the plate.
ABRASIVE PAPER
- Lift the paper clamping lever (7) by pressing the release device and
remove the used paper;
- insert the new abrasive paper following the instructions in the chap-
ter on “INSERTING THE ABRASIVE PAPER”.
USABLE ABRASIVE PAPER
- Sheets of abrasive paper for orbital sanders.
- Sheets of abrasive paper with suction holes.
MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations are carried out with the power supply di-
sconnected.
At the end of each work session, or when required, clean the motor
ventilation slot protective filter and remove any dust from the body of
the tool using a jet of compressed air, paying particular attention to
the motor ventilation slots.
No other maintenance operations must be undertaken by the user.
Maintenance and cleaning of the inner parts, like brushes, ball bea-
rings, gears etc. or others, must be carried out only by an authorized
customer-service workshop.
ELECTRIC SAFETY - LOW TENSION
The tests have been carried out in accordance with the standard:
EN 60745-1 safety of hand-held electric motor operated tools
EN 60745-2-4 particular requirements for sanders.
RADIO SUPPRESSION
The tools are suppressed in accordance for the prevention and elimi-
nation of radio disturbances measured in accordance with standard:
EN 55014-1 + EN 55014-2; EN 61000-3-2 + EN 61000-3-3.
NOISE
The noise level produced is 86 dB(A) / K = 3 dB(A) measured
according to standard EN 60745-1.

The mean quadratic acceleration value is 5.5 m/s2/ K = 1.5 m/s2
measured according to standard EN 60745-1.
GUARANTEE
All tools manufactured by RUPES Spa are guaranteed for 12 months
from the date of purchase against fabrication and material defects. All
tools must be used only with RUPES original accessories and spare
parts: we refuse all responsibility for damages or accidents caused by
non-observance of this rule which will also cause the termination of
the guarantee. The guarantee will no longer be valid if the instructions
contained in this booklet are not followed, if the tool is used for pur-
poses other than that for which it is intended, if it is dismantled, inter-
fered with in any way or damaged due to neglect. The guarantee will
be made valid by filling-in the form on the inside back cover of
this instruction booklet. If the tool is found to be defective or mal-
functions, it should be returned carriage free in one piece in its origi-
nal packing together with the guarantee certificate to the manufacturer
or to one of the Assistance Centres listed in the appendix to this boo-
klet. The guarantee does not automatically imply replacement of the
tool. RUPES Spa reserves the right to make any technical or design
modification to its products without prior notice. The manufacturer is

RECOMMANDATIONS GENERALES
Les instructions relatives à la sécurité et à la protection contre les
accidents du travail sont contenues dans le fascicule "INDICATIONS
RELATIVES A LA SECURITE" qui fait partie intégrante de la présente
documentation; le livret d'instructions relatives à l'utilisation indique
uniquement les informations complémentaires qui sont étroitement
linées à l'utilisation spécifique de la machine.
UTILISATION CONFORME
Cet outil électrique est prévu pour fonctionner en tant que ponceuse.
Lire toutes les prescriptions de sécurité, les instructions, les
illustrations et les spécifications fournies avec cet outil électrique. Le
non-respect de toutes les instructions susmentionnées peut provoquer une
décharge électrique, un incendie et/ou un accident grave.
Il est déconseillé d’effectuer des opérations de brossage métallique,
polissage ou de coupe avec cet outil électrique. Les opérations pour
lesquelles l’outil électrique n’est pas prévu peuvent provoquer un danger et
causer des blessures aux personnes.
Ne pas utiliser les accessoires qui ne sont pas spécialement réalisés
par le producteur des outils et conseillés par lui. Le simple fait que
l’accessoire puisse être fixé sur votre outil ne garantit pas un fonctionnement
en toute sécurité.
La vitesse nominale de l’accessoire doit être au moins égale à la
vitesse maximale indiquée sur l'outil électrique. Les accessoires que l’on
utilise à une vitesse supérieure à la vitesse nominale peuvent se casser et
être projetés en l’air.
Le diamètre extérieur et l’épaisseur de votre accessoire doivent être
adaptés aux caractéristiques de capacité de votre outil électrique. Il est
impossible de protéger ou de contrôler de façon appropriée les accessoires
présentant des dimensions non correctes.
La conformation des meules, des brides, des coussins d’appui ou de
tout autre accessoire doit s’adapter correctement au mandrin de l’outil
électrique. Les accessoires munis de trous de l’arbre qui ne correspondent
pas aux éléments de montage sur l’outil électrique ne resteront pas en
équilibre, ils vibreront excessivement et pourront provoquer une perte de
contrôle.
Ne pas utiliser un accessoire endommagé. Avant toute utilisation,
examiner les accessoires comme les meules abrasives pour vérifier
l'éventuelle présence d'ébréchures ou de fissures, les coussins d'appui
pour découvrir les éventuelles traces de fissures, de lacérations ou
d’usure excessive, ainsi que les brosses métalliques pour voir si des
fils sont lâches ou brisés. Si l’outil électrique ou l’accessoire est tombé,
examiner les éventuels dégâts ou installer un accessoire non
endommagé. Après avoir examiné et installé un accessoire, placez-
vous, ainsi que les personnes présentes, à une certaine distance du
plan de l’accessoire tournant et faites fonctionner l’outil électrique à la
vitesse maximale à vide pendant une minute. Les accessoires
endommagés se casseront en général durant cette période d’essai.
La machine doit fonctionner reliée à un système d’aspiration approprié (non fourni).
Les valeurs indiquées sont basées sur une tension nominale de 230V/50Hz. Dans le cas des tensions et des fréquences de différentes valeurs
de la puissance peut varier. Reportez-vous aux spécifications techniques d’étiquettes pour les valeurs nominales de l’outil.

CONSIGNES DE SECURITE SPECIFIQUES POUR LES
OPERATIONS DE PONÇAGE
Si l’utilisation d’un outil électrique dans un lieu humide est inévi-
table, utiliser une alimentation protégée par un interrupteur dif-
férentiel(RCD).
L’utilisation d’un interrupteur différentiel (RCD) réduit le risque de dé-
charge électrique.

MISE EN SERVICE
Avant de mettre la machine en service, s'assurer que:
- l'emballage est intègre et qu'il ne montre aucun signe d'endomma-
gements dus au transport et au stockage;
- la machine est complète; s'assurer que le nombre et la nature des
composants sont conformes aux indications contenues dans le présent
livret d'instructions;
- la source d'énergie et les prises de courant à disposition peuvent
supporter la charge indiquée dans le tableau et sur la plaquette
d'identification de la machine, dont le fac-similé et les explications
relatives sont fournis page 15.
MONTAGE DE LA MACHINE
- Raccordé le dispositif d’aspiration a le tube d’aspiration dans l’em-
brouchure (10).
MONTAGE DU PAPIER ABRASIF
PAPIER ABRASIF VELCRO
- Appliquer sur la plaque la feuille de papier à velcro par pression en
veillant à ce que les trous du papier correspondent aux trous qui se
trouvent sur la plaque en caoutchouc;
- faire attention a ce que la plaque velcro n’ait aucune trace de pous-
sière ou autre.
PAPIER ABRASIF
- Soulever le levier de blocage du papier (7) en appuyant sur la lan-
guette prévu à cet effet;
- mettre le papier abrasif sous le levier jusqu’à la butée puis relâcher
le levier;
- répéter les opérations précédentes sur l’autre côté de la plaque, en
faisant en sorte que le papier soit bien tendu et en contrôlant que ses
bords soient parallèles au bord de la plaque avant de relâcher le levier.
AVANT LA MISE EN SERVICE
S'assurer que:
- la source d’énergie est conforme aux caractéristiques de la machine;
- le câble d’alimentation et la fiche relative sont en parfait état;
- l’interrupteur de mise en marche/arrêt est efficace en agissant ce-
pendant lorsque la fiche est débranchée;
- tous les composants de la machine sont montés correctement et ne
présentent pas de signes d’endommagement;
- les fentes de ventililation ne sont pas bouchées (9);
- la machine soit relièe à un dispositif d’aspiration appropriè et efficace
(10).
MISE EN MARCHE ET ARRET
- Mise en marche: pousser vers l’avant le coulisseau de l’interrupteur
(2); pour le bloquer en position “ouvert”, appuyer en même temps
sur la partie avant du couliseau.
- Arrêt: relâcher le coulisseau ou, s’il est bloqué, pousser sur la partie
arrière et attendre qu’l revienne en position “d’arrêt”.
FONCTIONNEMENT D'ESSAI
Mettre la machine en marche et s’assurer qu’il n’y a pas de vibrations
anomales et que le papier abrasif n’est pas décentré.
Dans le cas contraire, énteindie la machine immédiatament et éli-
miner les anomalies.

SELECTION DU NOMBRE DE TOURS
Le réglage du nombre de tours s’obtient en manoeuvrant de manière
appropriée le bouton (3) situé sur la partie arrière de la machine. Le
choix de la vitesse doit être fait en fonction des caractéristiques des
disques du papier abrasif et du matériau à usiner.
REGLAGE DU DEBIT D’ASPIRATION
Le dèbit de l’aspiration peut être règlè en faisant tourner le collier (4).
REMPLACEMENT DU PAPIER ABRASIF
PAPIER ABRASIF VELCRO
- Arracher le feiulle de papier usée;
- appliquer par pression la nouvelle feuille de papier à velcro en veil-
lant à ce que les trous du papier correspondent aux trous d’aspira-
tion qui se trouvent sur la plaque.
PAPIER ABRASIF
- Soulever les leviers de blocage du papier (7) en appuyant sur les
languettes prévues à cet effet;
- retirer le papier usé;
- mettre le papier neuf en suivant les instructions fournies au chapitre
“MONTAGE DU PAPIER ABRASIF”.
OUTILS DE TRAVAIL ADMIS
- Feuilles de papier abrasif pour ponceuses orbitales;
- Feuilles de papier abrasif velcro avec trous d'aspiration.
ENTRETIEN
Toutes le opérations doivent être effectuées à fiche étant débranchée.
A la fin du travail et en cas de nécessité, dépoussiérer le corps de la
machine à l’aide d’un jet d’air comprimé en faisant particuliérement
attention au nettoyage des grilles porte-filtre et filters anti-poussière
de ventilation du moteur.
Aucune autre intervention de l’utilisateur n’est pas admise.
Tous les travaux d’entretien et les travaux de polissage des piéces in-
ternes, comme les brosses, coussinet, engrenages, etc., doivent être
effectuer par un Atelier de Réparation autorisé.
SECURITE ELECTRIQUE - BASSE TENSION
Les proves/verifies out eté executés en accord a les normes:
EN 60745-1 securité des outils électrique a moteur portatives
EN 60745-2-4 règles particuliers puor ponceuses.
PROTECTION CONTRE LES PARASITES RADIO
Les machines sont conformes à les effets de la prévention et des
parasites radio mesures en accord a les normes EN55014-1+EN55014-
2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
FORMATION DU BRUIT
Le niveau équivalent de la pression sonore est de 86 dB (A) - / K = 3 dB(A),
mesurés conformément aux normes EN ISO 3744 +UNI EN ISO 11202.
Attention: porter les dispositifs de protection de l'ouïe adéquats!
(Cf. avertissements généraux).
VALEUR MOYENNE DE L'ACCELERATION
Le niveau équivalent de l'accèlération est inférieure à
5,5 m/sec2 / K = 1.5 m/sec2 mesurés conformément aux normes UNI EN
28662 + UNI EN ISO 5349.
GARANTIE
Toutes les machines construites par la Société RUPES Spa sont garanties
pendant 12 mois à compter de la date d’achat contre les défauts matériau
et de fabrication. Les machines ne doivent être utilisées qu'avec les pièces
détachées et les accessoires originaux RUPES: nous déclinons toute re-
sponsabilité en cas d'accidents ou de dégâts matériels provoqués par le
non-respect de cette norme, qui entraînera en outre l'annulation de la ga-
rantie. La garantie prend fin en cas de non-respect des prescriptions du pré-
sent livret ou en cas d’utilisation impropre de la machine. Elle prend fin
également si la machine est démontée ou modifiée ou en cas de domma-
ges évidents dérivant d’un mauvais entretien. La garantie est subordonnée
au remplissage du coupon qui se trouve à la dernière page de couver-
ture du présent livret d’instructions. En cas de mauvais fonctionnement,
la machine, accompagnée de son certificat de garantie, devra être remise
ou envoyée en port payé, non démontée et dans son emballage d’origine,
au fabricant ou à un Centre d’Assistance agrée indiqué sur la liste annexée
au présent livret. La garantie ne donne pas en aucun cas droit au rempla-
cement de la machine. RUPES Spa se réserve le droit de modifier sans
préavis les caractéristiques techniques ou esthétiques des ses produits.
Nous déclinons toute responsabilité quant aux erreurs d'impression éven-

Dieses Elektrowerkzeug ist für den Einsatz als Schleifmaschine bestimmt.

Zubehör, dass bei einer Geschwindigkeit über der Nenngeschwindigkeit ver-
wendet wird, kann brechen und in die Luft geschleudert werden.
Der Außendurchmesser und die Stärke Ihres Zubehörs müssen sich für
die Charakteristiken Ihres Elektrowerkzeugs eignen. Zubehör mit nicht
korrekten Größen kann nicht angemessen geschützt oder kontrolliert werden.
Die Beschaffenheit der Schleifscheiben, der Flansche, der Auflagen oder
jegliches anderen Zubehörs muss sich korrekt an das Spannfutter des
Elektrowerkzeugs anpassen. Zubehör mit Bohrungen der Welle, die nicht mit
den Montageelementen auf dem Elektrowerkzeug übereinstimmen, bleiben
nicht im Gleichgewicht, vibrieren zu stark und können zu einem Kontrollverlust
führen.
Verwenden Sie kein beschädigtes Zubehör. Vor jeder Verwendung das
Zubehör untersuchen, wie die Schleifscheiben auf eventuelle
Splitterungen oder Risse, die Auflagen auf eventuelle Spuren von Rissen,
Beschädigungen oder übermäßigen Verschleiß sowie die Metallbürsten
auf gelöste oder gebrochene Drahtborsten. Ist das Elektrowerkzeug oder
das Zubehör heruntergefallen, auf eventuelle Schäden untersuchen oder
nicht beschädigtes Zubehör installieren. Nachdem ein Zubehörartikel
untersucht und installiert wurde, entfernen Sie sich gemeinsam mit den
anwesenden Personen von der Fläche des rotierenden Zubehörartikels
und lassen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug bei Höchstgeschwindigkeit eine
Minute lang leer laufen. Beschädigtes Zubehör bricht im Allgemeinen
während dieses Probezeitraums.
Die genannten Gerätes dürfen nur zusammen mit einer passenden Staubabsaugung betrieben werden (kein Lieferbestandteil).
Die dargestellten Werte basieren auf einer Nennspannung von 230V/50Hz basiert. Im Falle von Spannungen und Frequenzen von verschiede-
nen Leistungswerten kann variieren. Beziehen sich auf die technischen Spezifikationen Label auf die Nennwerte des Werkzeugs.

SPEZIFISCHE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE FÜR DIE POLIEREN
Wenn der Einsatz eines Elektrowerkzeugs an einem feuchten. Ort
nicht vermieden werden kann, eine durch einen Fehlerstrom-
schutzschalter (RCD) geschützte Stromversorgung verwenden.
Der Einsatz eines Fehlerstromschutzschalters (RCD) mindert das Ri-
siko elektrischer Schläge.

INBETRIEBNAHME
Vor einer Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes sollten Sie sicherstellen:
- daß die Verpackung unversehrt ist und keine Beschädigungen
durch Transport bzw. Lagerung aufweist;
- daß das Gerät vollständig ist, also Anzahl und Art der Gerätekom-
ponenten mit den Angaben in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung überein
stimmen;
- daß Stromnetz und Steckdosen für die in der Tabelle bzw. auf dem
Geräteschild (vgl. Abbildung u. Beschreibung des Geräteschilds auf
Seite 19) genannte Stromlast ausgelegt sind.
ZUSAMMENBAU DER MASCHINE
Die Absaugvorrichtung Anschließen. Dazu den Absaugschlauch auf
den Stutzen (10) aufstecken.
ANBRINGEN DES SCHLEIFPAPIERS
ABRASIVE KLETT-PAPIER
- Das Haftschleifpapier auflegen und andrücken. Dabei darauf acten,
daß seine Löcher über den Absauglöchern in der Gummi-Bodenplatte
liegen.
- Darauf achten; dass die Klettverschlussplatte nicht verstaubt oder
anderweitig beschmutzt ist.
SCHLEIFPAPIER
- Die Schleifblatt-Befestigungsklammer (7) durch Druck auf das dazu
vorgesehene Endstück anheben;
- das Schleifpapier bis es anliegt unter die Klammer schieben, dann
den Hebel loslassen;
- diesen Arbeitschritt am anderen Ende der Bodenplatte wiederholen.
Dazu das Schleifpapier gut straffen und ansschließend prüfen, ob
die Ränder mit den Kanten der Bodenplatte abschließen;
- das Papier mit dem Löcher (8) lochen.
VOR DER INBETRIEBNAHME
Stellen Sie folgende Punkte sicher:
- das Stromntez entspricht den Gerätekenndaten;
- Anschlußkabel und-Stecker sind in ordnungsgemäßem Zustand;
- der EIN/AUS- Schalter funktioniert einwandfrei. Zur Überprüfung die
in Kapitel “Inbetriebnahme” beschriebenen Schaltstellungen - aller-
dings bei gezogenem Netzstecker - ausprobieren;
- Sämtliche Gerätekomponenten sind ordnungsgemäß montiert und
zeigen keine. Anzeichen von Beschädigung;
- die Lüftungsschlitze sind nicht verstopft (9);
- die Absaugvorrichtung ist vorschriftsgemäß angeschlossen und fun-
ktionstüchtig (10).
EINSCHALTEN UND AUSSCHALTEN
- Einschalten: Den Schiebeschalter (2) nach vorn schieben. Falls die-
ser in EIN- Stellung festgesetzt werden soll, gleichzeitig das vordere
Ende des Schiebers drücken.
- Ausschalten: Den Schiebeschalter loslassen, oder - falls dieser in
EIN-Stellungblockiert ist - auf dessen hinteres Ende drücken und den
Schalter in AUS-Stellung zurückfedern lassen.
TESTLAUF
Schalten Sie das Gerät ein und stellen Sie sicher, daß es nicht unge-
wöhnlich vibriert, order die Schleifpapier berührt wird.
Andernfalls das Gerät sofort ausschalten und die Störung beheben.

EINSTELLUNG DER DREHZAHL
Die Drehzahl stellen Sie über das Rädchen (3) im hinteren Abschnitt des
Gerätes ein. Wählen Sie die Drehzahl passend zur Art der Schlief-
papierscheibe sowie den Eigenschaften des bearbeiteten Materials.
EINSTELLUNG DES ABSAUG-LUFTSTROMS
Den Absaug-Luftstrom kann an der Überwurfmutter (4) eingestellt wer-
den.
AUSWECHSELN DES SCHLEIFPAPIERS
ABRASIVE KLETT-PAPIER
- Das verbrauchte Schleifpapierblatt abreißen;
- das neue Blatt auflegen und andrücken. Dabei darauf achten, daß
seine Löcher über den Absauglöchern in der Bodenplatte liegen.
SCHLEIFPAPIER
- Die Schleifpapierklammern durch Niederdrücken (7) an den Enden
öffnen und das verbrauchte Blatt abnehmen;
- das neue Schleifpapierblatt wie im Abschnitt “ANBRINGEN DES
SCHLEIFPAPIERS” beschrieben befestigen.
ZULÄSSIGE WERKZEUGE
- Schleifpapier für Schwingschleifer;
- Sheets of abrasive Klettverschluss Papier mit Sauglöchern.
PFLEGE DES GERATES
Sämtliche Reiningungsarbeiten nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker vor-
nehmen. Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach der Arbeit sowie bei Bedarf mit
einem Druckluftstrahl. Achten Sie von besonders darauf, daß die Lüf-
tungsschlitze des Motors immer sauber sind.
Sonstige Eingriffe durch den Gerätebenutzer sind nicht zulässig.
Für die Wartung und die periodische Reinigung von den inneren
Teilen, z. B: Bürsten, Lagern, Zahnrädern usw. oder andere Bedürfnisse
wenden Sie sich bitte an einer autorisierten Kundendienststelle an.
ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT - NIEDERSPANNUNG
Die Tests wurden nach den Anforderungen der zur Zeit gültigen
Normen ausgeführt:
EN 60745-1 sicherheit für tragbare elektrisch betriebe Maschinen
EN 60745-2-4 besondere Anforderungen für Schleifmaschinen.
FUNKENTSTÖRUNG
Die Geräte erfüllen die Vorschriften der EG-Richtlinie 89/336 zur
Vorbeugung und Beseitigung von Funkstörungen Messung nach
Norm EN55014-1+EN55014-2; EN61000-3-2+EN61000-3-3.
SCHALLPEGEL
Der Schalldruckpegel (Geräuschentwicklung) der Maschine entspricht
86 dB (A) / K = 3 dB(A), gemessen gemäß EN ISO 3744 + UNI EN ISO
11202 .

GARANTIE
Für alle von ihr hergestellten Geräte leistet die Fa. RUPES Spa Gewähr im
von Mangeln, die innerhalb von 12 Monaten ab dem Kaufdatum aufgrund
Material-oder Fabrikationsfehlern auftreten. Die Maschinen dürfen aus-
schließlich mit Originalzubehör und Originalersatzteilen von RUPES be-
trieben werden: Das Unternehmen haftet nicht für Unfälle oder Schäden,
die auf die Nichtbeachtung dieser Bestimmung zurückzuführen sind, die
außerdem zum unverzüglichen Verfall der Garantie führt. Der Garantie-
anspruch entfällt bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch des Gerätes oder der
Nichteinhaltung dieser Gebrauchasanleitung. Er entfällt ebenfalls, wenn
das Gerät demontiert bzw. umgerüstet wurde oder sichtbare Schäden in-
folge mangelhafter Pflege aufweist. Die Inansprunchnahme der Garan-
tieleistung ist nur möglich, wenn der Abschnitt auf der vorletzten
Umschlagseite dieser Gebrauchsanleitung ausgefüllt ist. Im Fall einer
nachweislichen Funktiosstörung muß das Gerät dem Hersteller komplett
montiert, originalverpackt und mit beiliegender Garantiekarte fracht und
portofrei übergeben bzw. zugesendet werden. Die Übergabe an ein au-
torisiertes Kundendienstzentrum (siehe beiliegendes Verzeichnis) ist
ebenfalls möglich. In keinem Fall leitet sich aus dem Garantieanspruch ein
Rechtsanspruch auf die Ersetzung des Gerätes ab. Die Fa. RUPES SpA
behält sich das Recht vor, ohne Vorankündigung technische und ästhe-
tische Änderungen an ihren Produkten vorzunehmen. Das Unternehmen
haftet nicht für eventuelle Druckfehler. Vorliegendes Dokument annulliert
und ersetzt alle früheren Veröffentlichungen.

Las instrucciones para la seguridad y la prevención de accidentes se
ilustran en el opúsculo "INDICACIONES PARA LA SEGURIDAD" que forma
parte de la presente documentación. El manual de instrucciones para el uso
ilustra solamente aquellas informaciones adicionales estrictamente
relacionadas con el uso especifico de la máquina.
USO CONFORME A LO DETERMINADO
Esta herramienta eléctrica está destinada a funcionar como lijadora. Leer
todas las advertencias de seguridad, las instrucciones, las ilustraciones y
las especificaciones suministradas con esta herramienta eléctrica. El
incumplimiento de las instrucciones puede causar descargas eléctricas,
incendios y/o accidentes graves.
Se recomienda no ejecutar con esta herramienta eléctrica operaciones de
acepilladura metálica, pulido o corte. El empleo de la herramienta eléctrica en
operaciones para las cuales la herramienta eléctrica no está diseñada puede
causar peligros y daños a las personas.
No utilizar accesorios no expresamente realizados y recomendados por el
fabricante. El hecho de que el accesorio se pueda fijar en la herramienta no
garantiza un funcionamiento totalmente seguro.
La velocidad nominal del accesorio debe ser al menos igual a la velocidad
máxima indicada en la herramienta eléctrica. Los accesorios que se hagan
funcionar a una velocidad superior a la nominal se pueden romper y saltar por el
aire.
El diámetro exterior y el espesor de su accesorio deben responder a las
características de capacidad de su herramienta eléctrica. Los accesorios de
dimensiones no correctas no se pueden proteger y controlar adecuadamente.
La conformación de los muelles, las bridas, los cojines de apoyo y
cualquier otro accesorio debe adaptarse correctamente al mandril de la
herramienta eléctrica. Los accesorios cuyos orificios en el eje no correspondan
a los elementos de montaje en la herramienta eléctrica no permanecerán en
equilibrio, vibrarán excesivamente y podrán provocar una pérdida de control.
No utilizar accesorios dañados. Antes de cada uso, examinar los
accesorios, a saber: las muelas abrasivas, para detectar cualquier mella o
grieta; los cojinetes de apoyo, para descubrir rastros de rajaduras,
laceraciones o desgaste excesivo; los cepillos metálicos, para detectar
hilos flojos o deshechos. Si la herramienta eléctrica o el accesorio ha
sufrido una caída, verificar si hay daños o instalar un accesorio no dañado.
Una vez examinado e instalado un accesorio, alejarse del plano del
accesorio giratorio, al igual que todas las otras personas presentes, y hacer
funcionar la herramienta eléctrica a la velocidad máxima en vacío durante
un minuto. Los accesorios dañados generalmente se rompen durante el
período de prueba.
La máquina debe funcionar conectada con un adecuado sistema de aspiración (no suministrado).
