Installation instruction
GFX - top mount
1. PARTS (included)
- Mount
- Link
- O-ring [partnr GF9933]
- Cut-away handle
- Thin pull up cord [10mm]
Tools (not included)
- Drilling machine
- 7 mm drill
- Marker pen
- Ruler, tape measure or equivalent
2. Cut-away system assembly
Activate the O-ring by stretching it
3 times between your fingers. Use
force.
2.1 Cut-away system assembly
Put the pull up cord through the
O-ring.
Note: Use a 10mm or thinner pull up
cord. A thicker one will have trouble
getting through the holes.
2.2 Cut-away system assembly
Thread the pull up cord through the
front hole of the link. Note the orienta-
tion of the link knob as in the picture.

2.3 Cut-away system assembly
Pull the O-ring half way through.
Tip: Stretch the O-ring between your
finger and the pull up cord while doing
this. It makes it easier to get it though
the hole.
2.4 Cut-away system assembly
Place the cut-away handle cable in
the O-ring and pull the O-ring so that
it locks the cable in place.
Now on to drilling the holes...
3. Drilling
Place the mount on top of your hel-
met and mark in the centre of the
holes in the mount where to drill.
Tip: Begin with marking the left/right
centre line of the helmet. Do this by
measuring from side to side or by run-
ning a pull up cord front to back. Now
that you have a line on which the holes
will be, test the front/back position of
the mount along the centre line to see
how it works when opening the visor.
Use tape to hold the mount in place
while testing out the perfect position
for your taste. With the camera in the
mount using the GoPro app you can
get a live view.
In this installation we placed the front
hole 100 mm from the Cookie G3 hel-
met forehead line.
3.1 Drilling
Remove the top padding from the
inside of the helmet.
Double check the location of the
markings to be sure. Then drill the
holes.
3.2 Drilling
Remove the sharp edges around the
hole edge. Preferable by a counter-
sink. If you don’t have countersink
you can use a large drill or a knife or
something sharp to round the edges.
Do this on both the inside and the
outside of the helmet.

4. Installing the mount
Grab the cut-away assembly and
thread the pull up cord through the
front hole of the helmet. Pull the
O-ring through and give it a stretch.
4.1 Installing the mount
Inside view, note the orientation of the
link! The link knob is towards the top/
front of the helmet.
4.2 Installing the mount
Thread the pull up cord through the
front hole of the mount. Pull the
O-ring through and give it a stretch so
that it slides down into the hinge.
4.3 Installing the mount
Thread the pull up cord through the
rear hole of the mount and through
the hole in the helmet. Leave the
O-ring in the hinge like shown.
4.4 Installing the mount
Inside the helmet, thread the pull up
cord through the rear hole of the link.
Don’t stretch it yet!

4.5 Installing the mount
Grab the O-ring between your thumb
and index finger. While pulling the
cord stretch and feed the O-ring down
through the hole.
Note! This part is important. If you
don’t stretch and feed the O-ring down
into the hole you will have trouble later
on when inserting the cut-away cable.
4.6 Installing the mount
Continue to pull the cord in the direc-
tion towards the chin of the helmet.
Note! Don’t pull too hard, or the O-ring
will break (by design).
4.7 Installing the mount
While pulling, insert the cable.
Remove the pull up cord.
Adjust the link so that the link knob
goes into the front hole of the helmet.
The knob locks in the hole and holds
the link in place so that it won’t shift
back and forth which is important for
the cut-away function.
4.9 Installing the mount
Route the cut-away cable behind the
helmet adding and adjust the length
so that the loop handle is easy to
reach and grab hold of.
Note: On some helmet models you will
have to make an opening by partly
detaching the padding where its glued
to the shell.
4.8 Installing the mount
Top view, you should be able to see
the link knob down through the front
hole.
5. Final
Attach the camera using a GoPro
screw and nut or with the included
Hex socket screw.
Adjust the camera angle.
And your done!

Taking care of your mount:
1. Change O-ring every 6-month or if
worn. Cuts and damage to the surface
of the O-ring decreases its strength.
Only use the special O-ring [partnr
GF9933]. Other O-rings will have dif-
ferent properties and will not function
correctly.
2. Don’t over tighten the screw. The
nut housing can break.
3. Follow the instructions when in-
stalling the mount.
4. As with all skydiving gear, check
the mount before jumping and don’t
use it if it’s not fully functional.
