Begin by thoroughly spreading selected product on pad face. Position the buffing pad on the paint
surface, then start your orbital by toggling the on/off switch. Apply light to moderate pressure and
work surface in a 2’ x 2’ crisscross pattern. Prior to removing pad from surface, turn machine off by
toggling on/off switch. Reapply product as necessary to ensure smooth, even application.
Clean your pads after working each panel using a Griot’s Garage Foam Pad Conditioning Brush
(Item # 15548). Apply bristles to pad face using moderate pressure. Begin by turning the machine on,
working the pad face back and forth allowing the pad to spin against the brush for 10 seconds. Turn
tool off prior to releasing brush.

1. Know Your Power Tool.
Read this owner's manual carefully. Learn the
applications and limitations as well as the specific

2. Avoid Dangerous Environments.
Don't use power tools or charger in damp/wet
locations or expose to rain. Keep work area well lit.
3. Store Idle Tools.
When not in use, tools should be stored in a cool,
dry place.
4. Dress Properly.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be
caught in moving parts. Rubber gloves and non-
skid footwear are recommended when working
outdoors. Also wear protective hair covering to
contain long hair.
5 . Warning: Always Wear Safety Glasses.
Everyday glasses are NOT safety glasses. Use ANSI
Certified Z87.1 Eye Protection.
6. Protect Your Lungs.
Wear a NIOSH/.OSHA certified dust mask if
operation is dusty.
7. Warning: Protect Your Hearing.
Always Wear Certified Hearing Protection that
conforms to ANSI S12.6 (S3.19) during use. Under
some conditions and duration of use, noise from
this product may contribute to hearing loss.
8. Don't Overreach.
Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Do not use tool on a ladder or unstable support.
Secure tools when working at elevated levels.
9. Remove Adjusting Keys And Wrenches.
Make a habit of checking to see that keys and
adjusting wrenches are removed from tool before
turning it on.
10. Keep Handles Dry, Clean, And Free From
Oil And Grease.
Always use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use
brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum based products or
any strong solvents to clean your tool.
11. Check For Damaged Parts.
Before further use of the tool, a guard or any other
part that is damaged should be carefully checked
to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function. Check for alignment
of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts, mounting and any other conditions that
may affect its operation. Any part that is damaged
should be properly repaired or replaced.
12. Be Clear Headed.
Do not operate this (or any) tool while under the
influence of drugs, alcohol, or any medication.
13. Maintenance Safety.
Your orbital should never be connected to power
supply when you are assembling parts, making
adjustments, replacing pads, cleaning the unit, or
when not in use.
