Einführung Class-D Verstärker
Diese Class-D Mono Verstärker verhelfen Ihrer Anlage aufgrund Ihrer modernen Schaltungstechnik und sehr hohen Effizienz zu einem
beeindruckenden Klangerlebnis. Durch Digitale Schaltungstechnik im Netzteil und in der Signalverarbeitung ist es möglich sehr hohe
Leistungen aus dem zur Verfügung stehenden Strom zu erzielen. Da durch verschiedene Filter und Schaltungen eine sehr große
Leistungsausbeute erreicht wird, sind diese Verstärker nur für tiefe Frequenzinformationen bestimmt (Subwoofer) und können dadurch nicht
für Hoch - und Mitteltonsysteme eingesetzt werden.
Durch den Linkmodus ist es möglich geworden die volle Leistung von 2 Verstärkern für einen Lautsprecher zu nutzen. Das ist besonders für
eine sehr druckvolle und lebendige Wiedergabe von Musik von Vorteil.
Benötigte Materialien und Werkzeuge zur Installation

Bitte unbedingt beachten!
•Fahrzeugbatterie vor der Installation abklemmen! (Hinweise in der Betriebsanleitung des KFZ beachten!)
•Keine Löcher in den Tank, die Bremsleitung, Kabel oder andere wichtige Fahrzeugteile bohren!
•Kabel niemals über scharfe Kanten führen. Es ist empfehlenswert, die Stromversorgung der Endstufe mit einer, oder besser
zwei Zusatzbatterien zu puffern, um eine stabile Betriebsspannung zu gewährleisten.
WARNUNG !
Hochleistungsaudiosysteme in Fahrzeugen können den Schallpegel eines „Live“ Konzertes erzeugen. Dauerhaft extrem lauter Musik
ausgesetzt zu sein, kann den Verlust des Hörvermögens oder Hörschäden zur Folge haben. Das Hören von lauter Musik beim Autofahren
kann auch die Wahrnehmung (Warnsignale) beeinträchtigen. Im Interesse der allgemeinen Sicherheit empfehlen wir, beim Autofahren die
Musik auf geringer Lautstärke zu hören.
Planung
Vor der Installation sollten Sie folgende Punkte berücksichtigen:
a) Bitte beachten Sie bei der Wahl des Einbauortes, dass eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation zur Kühlung des Gerätes
gewährleistet ist.
b) Wenn Ihr Radio mit Vorverstärkerausgängen ausgerüstet (RCA) ist, wäre es ratsam diese zu benutzen.

Einbau des Verstärkers
a) Den passenden Einbauplatz auswählen, zu dem die Leitungen leicht verlegt werden können und an dem genügend Platz für
die Luftzirkulation und Kühlung gibt.
b) Den Verstärker als Schablone benutzen, um die Einbaustellen zu markieren. Den Verstärker entfernen und 6 Löcher bohren.
Den Verstärker mit den vorgesehenen Schrauben befestigen.
Warnung
Bitte diese Systeme so einbauen, dass Elektroanbindungen vor Beschädigungen geschützt sind.
+12 Volt DC Elektrokabel müssen auf der Batterieseite abgesichert sein. Bitte sicherstellen, daß das Radio und andere Geräte
ausgeschaltet sind, wenn Sie die Geräte anschließen.
Da diese Endstufe keine integrierte Gerätesicherung besitzt, ist es absolut notwendig, das Gerät mit einem ANL-Sicherungshalter mit 1 x
500 A oder 2 x 250 A Sicherung anzuschließen.
Die Kabellänge zwischen Verstärker und Sicherungshalter sollte max. 20cm betragen!
Bitte beachten Sie hierzu das Anschlussdiagramm.
Einschalten des Verstärkers
Der Verstärker schaltet sich automatisch einige Sekunden nach dem Einschalten des Radios ein.
Achtung: Ihr Verstärker schaltet sich zeitweise aus, wenn er überhitzt ist, schaltet sich jedoch nach der Abkühlung automatisch wieder ein
(ca. 80° C).
Einstellung des Audiopegels
1. LEVEL (MIN/MAX): mit Linksdrehung ganz auf MIN drehen
2. Drehen Sie die Lautstärke am Radio auf ungefähr 1/3 der Höchstlautstärke
3. Stellen Sie am LEVEL- Regler eine angenehme Lautstärke ein

Anschlüsse
+12V Stromanschluss
Verbinden Sie mithilfe zwei hochwertiger Stromkabel (mind. 2 x 50 mm²) die +12V Terminals des Verstärkers mit dem
+ Terminal der Batterie.
Da diese Endstufe keine integrierte Gerätesicherung besitzt, ist es absolut notwendig, das Gerät mit einem ANL-Sicherungshalter mit 1 x
500 A oder 2 x 250 A Sicherung anzuschließen.
Die Kabellänge zwischen Verstärker und Sicherungshalter sollte max. 20cm betragen!
Zusätzlich ist es nötig eine In-Line Sicherung in einem Abstand zur Batterie von maximal 20 cm zu verwenden, um den Kabelweg zwischen
Batterie und Endstufe abzusichern.
Auch hier sollte der Sicherungswert 500 A betragen. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Sicherung noch nicht eingesetzt ist, wenn Sie das +
Kabel an die Batterie anschließen. Dies könnte Beschädigungen am Gerät verursachen.
Masse
Trennen Sie die Batterie und verbinden Sie das Masseterminal mit dem Fahrzeugchassis. Hierbei ist unbedingt zu beachten, dass der
Kabelquerschnitt identisch mit dem des + Kabels sein muss.
Auch hier empfehlen wir einen Kabelquerschnitt von 50 mm² pro Terminal.
Halten Sie das Massekabel so kurz wie möglich (ca.25 cm).
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Massepunkt am Fahrzeug frei von Rost, Farbe oder Schmutz ist um einen verlustfreien Kontakt zu
ermöglichen.
Remote
Verbinden Sie das REM Terminal entweder mit dem Remote Ausgang Ihrer Head Unit oder einer anderen 12V Quelle wie zum Beispiel der
Antennenanschluss.

Lautsprecheranschluss (1 Verstärker)

Cinchanschluss – Linkmodus (2 Verstärker)
Wenn Sie den Linkmode verwenden, hat der MASTER Verstärker volle Kontrolle über den SLAVE
Verstärker.
Beim Linkmode empfehlen wir, die eingebaute Linkschaltung zu verwenden (KEIN externes Linkmodul).

Lautsprecheranschluss – Linkmodus (2 Verstärker)
Wenn Sie den Linkmodus anwenden, darf die Impedanz der Lautsprecher nicht unter 2 Ohm betragen.
Das Anschließen von Geräte mit niedrigerer Impedanz kann den Verstärker beschädigen und ist von der
Garantie ausgeschlossen.

Introduction Class-D Amplifier
Due to their state- of- the- art technology and high efficiency, these Class-D mono amplifiers help your system to provide an impressive
sound experience.
The digital circuit technology of the power supply and the signal processing allows achieving maximum performance levels from the
provided power. Due to the different filters and circuits a very high power output is achieved, therefore these amplifiers are made for low
frequency information (Subwoofer). They cannot be used for high- and midrange speakers.
The link mode enables to use to full power of two amplifiers for one speaker. This is first of all advantageous for a really powerful and lively
music playback.
Tools and materials you need

•Ground wire min. 2 x 50 mm² / 2 x 0 AWG
•Speaker wire min. 2 x 6 mm² / 11 AWG
Caution!
•As a precaution it is advisable to disconnect the vehicle’s battery before making connection
to the +12 Volts supply wiring (see owner’s manual of your car for further information).
•Please use great caution drilling your trunk. Your gas tank and brake lines can be damaged by puncturing with your drill bit –
this could cause damage or failure of your cars operating systems.
•Never pass wires over sharp angles. It is recommended to buffer the power supply of the amplifier with minimum 1, better 2
additional batteries to guarantee a stable operation voltage.
WARNING !
High powered audio systems in a vehicle are capable of generating "Live Concert" levels of sound pressure. Continued exposure to
excessively high volume sound levels may cause hearing loss or damage. Also, operation of a motor vehicle while listening to audio
equipment at high volume levels may impair your ability to hear
external sounds such as; horns, warning signals, or emergency vehicles, thus constituting to a potential traffic
hazard. In the interest of safety, Consumer Electronics recommends listening at lower volume levels while driving.
Planning your system
Before beginning the installation, consider the following:
a. If you plan to expand your system by adding other components sometime in the future, ensure adequate space is left, and
cooling requirements are met.
b. If your radio is equipped with preamplifier outputs (RCA), it is advisable to use them.

Mounting your amplifier
a. Select a suitable location that is convenient for mounting, is accessible for wiring
and has ample room for air circulation and cooling.
b. Use the amplifier as a template to mark the mounting holes, remove the amplifier and drill 4 holes. Then mount the amplifier
with the mounting screws.
Warning
Chose a mounting position where all eclectic wires are protected from being damaged by sharp edges, heat or other conditions. +12Volt
DC electrical connections must be fused on the battery side. Make sure your radio and all other devices will be turned off while connection
your system.
This amplifier has no internal fuse. Therefore it is absolutely necessary to connect an ANL- fuseholder) with 1x 500 A or 2 x 250 A fuse.
The cable length between amplifier and fuseholder should not be longer than max 20 cm / 7.9”.
Please see the connection diagram on the following pages for correct wiring.
Turning on the amplifier
The amplifier automatically turns on a few seconds after you turn on your radio.
Note: Your amplifier temporarily shuts down if it gets too hot, then restarts automatically once it cools
(At about 80° / 176° F).
Adjusting the audio level
1. LEVEL (Min/Max): Turn fully counter- clockwise to MIN position
2. Turn the auto sound system's volume control to about two-third of its full range.
3. Adjust LEVEL to a comfortable listening level.

Connections
+12 Volt (Fused) Constant power: To Battery (+)
Due to the power requirements of the amplifier, this connection should be made directly to the positive (+) terminal of
battery by using 2 x high quality power cables (min. 2 x 50mm² / 0 AWG).
This amplifier has no internal fuse. Therefore it is absolutely necessary to connect an ANL- fuse-holder with 1x 500 A or
2 x 250 A fuse. The cable length between amplifier and fuse-holder should not be longer than max 20 cm / 7.9”.
Additionally it is necessary to install an In-Line Fuse with 500 A to protect the cable between battery and amplifier.
The cable length between battery and fuse-holder should not be longer than max 20 cm / 7.9”.
GROUND: To vehicle Chassis
To guarantee a perfect loss-free connection, it is necessary that the amplifiers be grounded to a clean, bare metal
surface of the vehicles chassis.
Make sure that the wire diameter of the ground cable will be same as the +12 V cable.
We also recommend to use 50 mm² / 0 AWG on each terminal.
Try to keep the ground cable as short as possible ( 25 cm / 10”)
Remote Turn-On Input
This amplifier is turned ”ON” remotely when the vehicle’s stereo is turned ”ON”. Please connect the +12 V remote out
of your head-unit with the REM input of the GZPA 1.6K-HCX

Speaker connections – single amplifier

RCA connections – Master & Slave amplifier
Using a dual amplifier configuarion, the MASTER amplifier has total control over the SLAVE amplifier.
We recommend to use the built-in linkmode without an external link module.

Speaker connections (Linkmode – 2 amplifiers)
When using the dual amplifier configuration, it is important to note that the connected speaker load can
be no less than 2 Ohm. Connection a lower impedance load can damage the amplifier and void your
warranty.
