SET-UP AND SAFETY _____________________________________________
Please note the following instructions when set-
ting up the device:

This device is designed for the playback of
audio signals. Any other use is expressly pro-
hibited.

Make sure there is adequate ventilation when
positioning the device. There must be a free
space of at least 10 cm behind the device. Do
not place objects on the ventilation slots.
7
Do not cover the device with newspapers, ta-
ble cloths, curtains, etc.
7
Please note when deciding where to put the
device that furniture surfaces are covered by
various types of lacquer and plastic, most of
which contain chemical additives. These may
cause corrosion to the feet of the device, thus
resulting in stains on the surface of the furniture
which can be difficult or impossible to remove.

If the device is exposed to sudden changes in
temperature, for example when taken from the
cold into a warm room, wait at least two hours
before using it.

The device is designed for use in dry rooms.
Protect the device from rain, moisture (drip-
ping or splashing water) and heat (heaters or
direct sunlight, etc).

Only use the device in a moderate climate.

Do not place any objects containing liquids
(for example, vases) on the device.

Do not place any objects such as burning can-
dles on the device.

Never open the device casing under any cir-
cumstances. No warranty claims are accepted
for damage resulting from improper handling.

Do not use any cleaning agent, as this may
damage the casing. Clean the device with a
clean, moist leather cloth.

Thunderstorms are a danger to all electrical
devices. Even if the device is switched off, it
can be damaged by a lightning strike to the
mains. Always remove the mains plug during
an electrical storm.

The remote control contains a button cell.
Please always keep the remote control and
the button cell out of reach of children.

If the button cell is accidentally swallowed, it
can lead to burns and even death within two
hours. You should therefore see a doctor im-
mediately.

Keep new and used batteries out of reach of
children. If the battery compartment cannot be
closed safely, do not continue to use the de-
vice and keep out of reach of children.

Remove the battery if used up or if you do not
use the device for a long time. We do not as-
sume liability for damage caused by leaked
batteries.

Do not expose the battery to extreme heat,
such as for example sunlight, radiators, fire,
etc.

The batteries, even those free from heavy
metals, must not be disposed of as domestic
waste.
Used batteries must be discarded in used bat-
tery collection containers found at commercial
or public waste management services.

Do not connect any other equipment while
the device is switched on. Switch off the oth-
er devices as well before connecting them.

Only plug the device into the mains socket
after you have connected the external de-
vices. Make sure the power adapter is free-
ly accessible.

Connecting the power adapter
Note:

Check that the mains voltage on the power
adapter corresponds to your local mains
supply.
If this is not the case, contact your spe-
cialist dealer.
1 Connect the single plug of the power adapter
into the »DC IN 12 V« socket.
2 Connect the power adapter into the wall sock-
et.
Caution:

The device is connected to the mains with
the power cord. Pull out the power adapter
if you want to completely disconnect the de-
vice from the mains.

Make sure the power adapter is easily ac-
cessible during operation and not hindered
by other objects.
Activate the remote control
battery
1 Remove protection film from the battery com-
partment.
– The remote control is now functional.
Change remote control
battery (Type CR 2025)
Note:

If your device no longer responds to the
remote control commands, the battery may
be dead. It is imperative that dead batteries
be removed. We do not assume liability for
damage caused by leaked batteries.
Caution:

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly
replaced.
Replace only with the same or equivalent
type.
1 Hold the remote control with the back side fac-
ing up.
2 Unscrew safety bolt of the battery holder and
remove the battery holder.
CONNECTION AND PREPARATION ____________________
3 Insert the battery with the positive pole facing
upwards.
4 Push battery holder into the remote control until
it clicks into place.
5 Screw in the safety bolt.

Note:

Pod/iPhone.
1 Insert the iPod/iPhone into the » iPod dock «
connector carefully until it latches into place.
Connecting external devices

1 Use a standard audio adapter to connect
the audio outputs of the external device
to the »AUX IN« (ø 3.5 mm) socket of the
GSD 320.

“Made for iPod/iPhone” means that an elec-
tronic accessory has been designed to connect
specifically to an iPod/iPhone, and has been
certified by the developer to meet Apple perfor-
mance standards. Apple is not responsible for
the operation of this device or its compliance
with safety and regulatory standards.
iPhone, iPod, iPod classic, iPod nano, iPod shuf-
fle, and iPod touch are trademarks of Apple Inc.,
registered in the U.S. and other countries.
Notes:

The device is able to recharge the internal
battery of your iPod/iPhone. In standby
mode, the device cannot recharge iPod/
iPhone because of minimised power con-
sumption. If you need to recharge your iPod/
iPhone, please power up the device.

Your iPod/iPhone will use its backlight set-
tings as configured. If these need changing,
use the settings menu on your iPod/iPhone.

Using the buttons of the remote control and
the menus of the iPod/iPhone, you can select
the existing structures (Playlists, Artists, Al-
bums, etc.) and tracks.

Playing the contents of an
iPod/iPhone
1 Switch on the device from stand-by mode by
pressing »8« on the remote control or press
briefly »8 M« on the device.
2 Select the input source with » M «.
– Playback starts automatically with the last
played passage.
3 Adjust the volume with » – « or » + «.
4 Mute the volume using » « on the remote con-
trol.
Deactivate mute, press » « on the remote con-
trol again.
5 To pause playback, press »e II «.
Continue playback by pressing »e II « again.
Repeating the current track
1 During playback, press briefly »<«.
Selecting another track
1 During playback, press »<« or »>« repeatedly
until the track is reached.
– Playback of the selected track or file starts
automatically.
Searching for a passage within a
track
1 During playback, press and hold »<« or »>« to
move through the current file.
2 Release »<« or »>« when the passage has
been found.
Automatic shutdown
The device will automatically switches to Stand-
by mode if no audio signal from iPod/iPhone is
played for 15 minutes. For further using switch
on the device again.
Switch of
1 Press »8« on the remote control or press and
hold the »8 M« button on the device for 2
seconds to turn off the unit.

Bluetooth device compatibility
Your GSD 320 connects with all Bluetooth
Devices that support the A2DP profile including
the most smartphones, laptops and tablets.
Pairing Bluetooth Device
1 Switch on the device from stand-by mode by
pressing »8« on the remote control or press
briefly »8 M« on the device.
– The blue indicator A will start blinking.
– Now you can ready to pair your device
with the unit.
2 Activate the Bluetooth function on the auxiliary
Bluetooth device.
3 Start the search function on the auxiliary Blue-
tooth device.
Note:

Enter »0000« when your auxiliary Bluetooth
Device asks for the PIN code.
4 When the auxiliary Bluetooth device is paired
with your device, the unit will beep and the
blue indicator will turn on steadily.
Note:

Your GSD 320 can only receive and play
back the audio signal from one Bluetooth
device; up to 8 devices can nevertheless be
paired.
BLUETOOTH MODE _______________________________________________
Connecting a paired Bluetooth
Device
Notes:
7 Auxiliary Bluetooth devices must only be
paired once (depending on the auxiliary
Bluetooth device).
7 When leaving and then returning to the
reception range of the GSD 320, the aux-
iliary Bluetooth device will pair with it auto-
matically.
7 The GSD 320 will only connect automati-
cally with the last paired auxiliary Bluetooth
device.
7 If the auxiliary Bluetooth device is not de-
tected, it must be reactivated via its menu.
Play Audio signal from your Blue-
tooth Device
1 Begin playback on auxiliary Bluetooth device.
2 Select the input source with » M «.
– The blue indicator A illuminate.
– Playback starts automatically with the last
played passage.
3 Adjust the volume with » – « or » + «.
Note:
7 The volume can also be adjusted from the
auxiliary Bluetooth device.
4 Mute the volume using » « on the remote con-
trol.
Deactivate mute, press » « on the remote con-
trol again.
5 To pause playback, press »e II «.
Continue playback by pressing »e II « again.
Notes:

Keep in mind that unit has a 9 m Bluetooth
wireless range.

The volume controls on your Bluetooth De-
vice work separately from the volume con-
trols on the unit.

back.
3 Select the input source with » M «.
4 Adjust the volume with » – « or » + «.
5 Mute the volume using » « on the remote con-
trol.

AUX MODE ____________________________________________________________
