familiarise you with the unit’s many features and to ensure you
get the very best from your purchase.

What’s in the box

Ensure that you read all of the safety instructions before operating
this unit.
• Ensure that the power cable and other connected cables are protected
and are positioned so that they are not likely to be walked on, pinched
or damaged.
• Do not position the unit in areas where it may experience humid or
damp conditions.
• Do not allow the unit to get wet. You must keep it away from dripping
or splashing water.
• Never allow children to insert foreign objects into the holes or slots on
the unit.
• Do not cover the ventilation holes with items such as tablecloths or
curtains, etc. This may cause the unit to overheat.
• No naked flame sources, such as candles, should be placed on or near
the unit.
• Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases or jugs, on or near
the unit.
• Do not place the unit in a closed cabinet without proper ventilation.
Safety Considerations
• Disconnect the unit from the mains supply before cleaning.
• Do not use any liquids or aerosol cleaners, as this may damage the
unit.
• Use a dry, soft, dust free cloth.
Cleaning
• There are no user serviceable parts in this unit. When servicing, refer to
qualified service technician.

VOLUME UP Button Press the VOLUME UP Button to increase the volume.
PLAY/PAUSE Button Press the PLAY/PAUSE Button to play or pause playback on
your iPad/iPhone/iPod.
SHUFFLE Button Press the SHUFFLE Button to activate or deactivate the
shuffle mode on a docked iPod/iPhone/iPad.
SKIP FORWARD Button Press the SKIP FORWARD Button to skip forwards in a track
or skip between tracks.
SELECT Button Press the SELECT Button to make selections in the menu.

Setting up the Docking System
1.Insert the connector of the power adaptor into the DC IN jack on the rear of the unit.
2.Insert the power adaptor plug into the wall socket and switch the socket on.
3.Gently dock your iPad/iPhone/iPod into the docking connector.
4.Press the button to turn the unit on.
Caution:
•Risk of product damage! Ensure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage
printed at the bottom of the unit.
•Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the power adaptor, always pull the plug from the
socket and ensure both the unit and mains power is turned off. Never pull the cord.
•Before connecting the power adaptor, ensure you have completed all other connections.
Using the Docking System with Batteries
This unit can be powered by six UM-3 (LR6) “AA” type batteries.
1. Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the unit.
2. Insert six “AA” type batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment at the bottom
of the unit observing the polarity markings on the base of the battery compartment.
Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer life.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
Caution:
It is important to replace the battery with the same type of battery outlined above.
•If the unit is not used for an extended period of time, we recommend removing the
battery to ensure that the battery does not leak.
•Dispose of batteries in a safe and environmentally friendly way.

Getting Started
Using the Remote Control
Remove the plastic insulation tab from the battery compartment to
activate the remote control before first use.
When the operation of the remote control becomes intermittent or the
effective distance is significantly decreased, it is time to replace the original
battery with a new type CR2025 3V === lithium battery as follows:
1. Unlock and slide out the battery holder from the remote control case.
2. Replace the weak/dead battery with a new one. Be sure the battery is installed correctly.
The remote will not work if the battery is installed with the wrong polarity.
3. Insert the battery holder back into the battery slot.
Warning:
It is important to replace the battery with the same type of battery outlined above.
•If the unit is not used for an extended period of time, we recommend removing the
battery to ensure that the battery does not leak.
•Dispose of batteries in a safe and environmentally friendly way.

4Connecting External Devices
This unit can be connected to a number of external devices using the AUX IN jack on the
rear of the unit. This requires a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not supplied). Please refer to
page 12 for more instructions.

Setting up the Dock
1. Gently dock your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch while the unit is in portrait mode.
2. If you wish you can rotate the dock to view your iPad, iPhone or iPod in landscape mode.
3. To ensure the unit is supported, adjust the Base Hinge forward until it locks into place.
4. You can also adjust the viewing angle by tilting the iPad Dock forwards or backwards.
Recharging your Apple Device
Whilst your iPad/iPhone/iPod is docked and unit is plugged into the mains power, your iPad/
iPhone/iPod will charge automatically even while you play your favourite tunes.
If you wish to just charge your iPad/iPhone/iPod turn the unit to standby mode to reduce power
consumption.
Note: The unit will not charge your iPad/iPhone/iPod in battery mode.

Listening to Music on your Apple Device
1. Dock your Apple device carefully and securely onto the Docking Connector.

Repeat Play
You can repeat a single track or all the tracks on your iPad/iPhone/iPod.
1. To repeat a single track, press the REPEAT button once. The track will be played
repeatedly.
2. To repeat all the tracks, press the REPEAT button twice. All the tracks will be played
repeatedly.
3. To cancel the repeat function, press the REPEAT button again.
Shuffle Play
The tracks on your iPad/iPhone/iPod can be played in a random order using the shuffle play
feature.
Note:
•You need to use the remote control to use this function.
•This feature only works when your iPad/iPhone/iPod is in Music mode.

Watching Videos or YouTube Clips on your Apple Device while Docked
1. Dock your Apple device carefully and securely onto the Docking Connector.
2. Press the Standby button to turn the unit on and the touch control panel will illuminate.
3. Then use your Apple device to select the video content you want to watch and press the
Play/Pause button on the remote or on your Apple device screen. The selected video
will immediately begin to play.

Watching Videos on an External TV
To watch videos or YouTube clips from your iPad, iPhone or iPod on your TV you will need a RCA
Composite Video Cable (not included) to connect the unit to your TV.
1. To connect your unit to your TV you will need to connect your RCA Composite Video Cable
(not supplied) into the units Video Out jack & connect the other end of the RCA Composite
Video Cable into your TVs Video In jack.
2. Once the unit and TV are connected, select your TV's Video Input source.
3. Then press the Video button on the remote control or the Video On/Off button on the back
of the unit. If you were currently watching a video on your Apple device, the video will appear
on screen if you have followed the above steps. During this mode the video or movie will only
play on your TV, it will not simultaneously play on your Apple device.
4. Finally press the Video button again, to start watching videos from your Apple device screen.
Note:
•To play videos in this mode, you must press the Video button when an iPad, iPhone or iPod
touch docked. For any other iPod models, use the TV Out settings on the iPod to activate or
deactivate the video output function.
•The default setting for the video output is Off.

Switching On
1. To turn on the unit, press the button.
2. To turn off the unit, press the button again.
Adjusting the Volume
1. To increase the volume level, press the VOLUME+ button.
2. To decrease the volume level, press the VOLUME- button.

1. Press the button on the remote control to turn off the sound.
2. Press the button again to restore the sound to the previous level.
Using the Auxiliary Input (AUX IN)

Troubleshooting
If you encounter problems when using this unit, first check the following points before requesting
service. If the problem remains unsolved, we suggest you consult your retailer or service
professional.

properly before docking onto the unit.

information on resetting the device.
Apple device does
not recharge.
Apple device is not installed
properly.
Remove your Apple device from the dock and check
for obstruction on the connectors in the dock and on
your Apple device. Then reinsert it in the dock.
Sound is distorted.
Volume level is set too high.
Sound source is distorted.
Adjust the volume.
If the original music file sound is poor quality it will
be easily noticed on the high-power speakers. Try
playing a different high quality file.
If you are using an external sound source like older
generation of iPod, try reducing the output volume
on the device itself. Also try changing the EQ setting
of your Apple device.
Unit gets warm after
extended play at
high volume.
This is normal. Turn the unit off for a period of time or lower
volume.
Unable to operate
the unit from the
remote control
There may be obstacles in
between the unit and the
signal.
The batteries may be exhausted.
Make sure there are no obstacles between the unit
