continuously.

1 Press the on/off button.
2 Use cle ner to remove dust, debris nd dirt from counters, floors, etc.
3 Turn unit off before storing.

USE OF THE UV-C AIR SANITIZER™
When the Germ Gu rdi n™ UV-C Air S nitizer is turned on you will see ring of blue light th t lets
you know it is working. The Germ Gu rdi n™ UV-C Air S nitizer c n process 450 cubic feet of ir
per hour nd is effective in lmost ny size room. When using this product b sic prec utions
should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock nd injury.
GETTING STARTED
1 Plug the UV-C Air S nitizer/H nd V c Stor ge B se into 120v AC electric l outlet.
2 Turn the power switch loc ted underne th the b se. A blue ring of light will ppe r indic ting
th t the unit is on nd working.
3 For best results continuous oper tion is recommended.
4 Pl ce the h nd v c in the b se for stor ge nd ch rging.
NOTE: The Germ Gu rdi n UV-C Air S nitizer cont ins no service ble p rts except its UV-C bulb.
The bulb m y be removed for repl cement.

NOTE: Use only the ch rger supplied by the m nuf cturer to rech rge.
IM ORTANT: Before first use, ch rge your v cuum for t le st 24 hours.
Power switch must be in the off position when unit is ch rging on b se. If ch rging light is not
illumin ted, press on/off button to ssure unit is turned off. Remember, unit will not ch rge if
ch rging light is not illumin ted.
1 Pl ce unit in ch rger b se when not in use.
2 Connect w ll ch rger to the outlet.
3 Ch rging light will illumin te when unit is properly pl ced in the b se. Unit will be ch rged
in 16-24 hours.

Replacement Bulb LB1000
WHEN TO CHANGE THE BULB
A repl ce ble 3.5 w tt UV-C light bulb will l st over 5000 hours. Over time with use, the UV-C bulb
will lose some intensity pproxim tely 15% t 4000 hours. Therefore it is suggested to repl ce the
UV-C light bulb every 8-10 months depending on use. You will know to ch nge the bulb when the
light flickers continuously or ch nges color. To reorder the UV-C Repl cement Bulb Model LB1000
ple se c ll customer service t 1-866-603-5900 or log onto www.germgu rdi n.com.
1 Turn off the unit nd unplug it from the electric l outlet. (Fig. 1)
2 Remove H nd V c nd using sm ll Phillips he d screwdriver, loosen nd remove the
Phillips screw loc ted inside of the ch rger b se. (Fig. 2)
3 Remove the top c p by lifting it off of the top of the unit. (Fig. 3)
4 Hold the unit in pl ce with one h nd. Loc te the bulb nd re ch into the cylinder with your
opposite h nd. Turn the bulb in counter clockwise position (left) to loosen it from the
socket. (Fig. 4)
5 T ke new bulb nd screw into unit using clockwise motion. (Fig. 5)
6 Wipe off finger prints with dry cloth fter bulb is inst lled.
7 Re ssemble by reversing steps 1-6.

5 Return to dirt cup nd secure by ligning cut out in filter d pter to t b in dirt cup. (Fig. 14)

4 Empty dirt cup into tr sh bin. Either sh ke out or t p to cle n. (Fig. 9)
5 Repl ce filter. (Fig. 10)
6 Align nd re- tt ch dirt cup/nozzle. (Fig. 11)
7 Return unit to stor ge b se.
NOTE: For best perform nce, repl ce filter every 6 months.

·Ne m lmenez p s le cordon électrique. Ne tr nsportez j m is le ch rgeur ou le socle p r le cordon, et ne tirez p s sur le
cordon pour le débr ncher d'une prise. S isissez plutôt le ch rgeur et tirez dessus pour le débr ncher. G rdez le cordon
éloigné des surf ces ch uffées. Ne tirez p s sur le cordon lorsqu'il repose sur des coins ou rebords tr nch nts.
·Ne fermez p s l porte sur le cordon du ch rgeur.
·Ne touchez p s l fiche ou l’ pp reil vec des m ins mouillées.
·Ce produit inclut des piles rech rge bles u nickel-c dmium. Ne brûlez j m is les piles et ne les exposez p s à des
tempér tures élevées c r elles pourr ient exploser.
·Débr nchez le ch rgeur v nt d'effectuer tout nettoy ge ou entretien régulier.
·Ne mettez ucun objet d ns les ouvertures.
·N’utilisez j m is l’ pp reil si les ouvertures de l’ pp reil sont obstruées. Assurez-vous que rien ne bloque le débit d' ir
(poussière, peluche, cheveux, p r ex.).
·Tenez à l’éc rt des ouvertures et des pièces mobiles les cheveux, les vêtements, les doigts et toute utre p rtie du corps.
·N’ spirez ucun objet en tr in de brûler ou de dég ger de l fumée, comme les cig rettes, les llumettes et les cendres
ch udes.
·N’utilisez p s l’ pp reil s ns le vide-poussière.
·Éteignez toutes les comm ndes v nt de débr ncher l’ pp reil.
·Redoublez de préc ution lorsque vous nettoyez des esc liers.
·N’utilisez p s l’ pp reil pour spirer des liquides infl mm bles ou combustibles, not mment l’essence, ou d ns les endroits
où ces produits peuvent être présents.
·D ns cert ines conditions extrêmes, cert ins compos nts des piles peuvent fuir. Si le liquide composé d’une solution de 20 à
35 % d'hydroxyde de pot ssium entre en cont ct vec l pe u (1), l vez immédi tement l p rtie touchée vec du s von et
de l'e u ou (2) neutr lisez l solution vec un cide doux comme du jus de citron ou du vin igre. Si le liquide entre en
cont ct vec les yeux, rincez immédi tement à gr nde e u pend nt u moins 10 minutes. Consultez un médecin.
·Ne rech rgez l' pp reil qu' vec le ch rgeur fournit p r le f bric nt.

·Débr nchez toujours l’unité v nt son entretien.
·Pour limenter l' pp reil, utilisez uniquement du cour nt 120 V CA, 60HZ.
·N’utilisez p s l’ pp reil s ns son couvercle.
·Ne déf ites p s le dispositif de verrouill ge.
·N’utilisez p s de r llonges électriques.
·Pour réduire le risque de choc électrique, l’ pp reil est équipé d’une fiche pol risée (une tige de l fiche est plus l rge que
l’ utre). Cette fiche s’inst lle d’une seule f çon d ns l prise de cour nt. Si l fiche n’entre p s d ns l prise de cour nt,
inversez le sens des broches de l fiche et recommencez. Si l fiche n’entre toujours p s d ns l prise, dem ndez à une
personne qu lifiée d’inst ller une prise de cour nt déqu te. NE modifiez PAS l fiche de quelque f çon que ce soit.

·L’ pp reil est conçu uniquement pour une utilis tion intérieure.

UTILISATION DU PURIFICATEUR D’AIR AUX RAYONS UVC
Qu nd le purific teur d’ ir ux r yons UVC Germ Gu rdi n™ est mis en m rche, un nne u de
lumière bleue indique qu’il fonctionne. Le purific teur d’ ir ux r yons UVC Germ Gu rdi n™ peut
tr iter 450 pieds cubes d’ ir p r heure et est effic ce d ns presque toutes les pièces quelle que soit
leurs dimensions. Lors de l'utilis tion de cet pp reil, des préc utions de b se doivent être suivies
pour réduire le risque d’incendie, de choc électrique et de blessure.
DÉMARRAGE
1 Br nchez le purific teur d’ ir ux r yons UVC/ socle de r ngement de l’ spir teur à m in d ns
une prise 120 VCA
2 Mettez l’ pp reil en m rche u moyen de l’interrupteur situé sous le socle. Un nne u de
lumière bleue pp r ît pour indiquer que l' pp reil est en m rche et fonctionne.
3 Pour de meilleurs résult ts, il est recomm ndé de f ire fonctionner l’ pp reil en perm nence.
4 Posez l’ spir teur à m in sur le socle pour le r nger et le ch rger.
REMARQUE : Le purific teur d’ ir ux r yons UVC Germ Gu rdi n ne contient ucune pièce de
rech nge à l’exception de l’ mpoule UVC. L’ mpoule peut être enlevée pour être rempl cée.

REM LACEMENT DE L’AM OULE
L’ mpoule UVC rempl ç ble de 3,5 w tts une durée de vie de plus de 5000 heures. L’ mpoule
UVC perd environ 15 % de son intensité près 4000 heures d’utilis tion. Nous vous conseillons
donc de rempl cer l’ mpoule UVC tous les 8 ou 10 mois, en fonction du degré d’utilis tion de l’ p-
p reil. Vous s urez qu’il est temps de ch nger l’ mpoule lorsque s lumière v cille de f çon contin-
ue ou ch nge de couleur. Pour comm nder une mpoule de rech nge, modèle LB 1000, veuillez
cont cter le service à l clientèle u 1-866-603-5900 ou visiter le site www.germgu rdi n.com.
1 Éteignez l’ pp reil et débr nchez-le. (fig. 1)
2 Enlevez l' spir teur à m in, et en utilis nt un petit tournevis à pointe cruciforme, desserrez et
retirez l vis à tête cruciforme située à l’intérieur du socle du ch rgeur. (fig. 2)
3 Enlevez le couvercle supérieur en le dég ge nt de l p rtie supérieure de l’unité. (fig. 3)
4 M intenez l’unité en pl ce à l’ ide d’une m in. Repérez l’empl cement de l’ mpoule d ns le
cylindre et s isissez cette dernière vec l’ utre m in. Tournez l’ mpoule d ns sens contr ire
des iguilles d’une montre (g uche) pour l dég ger de l douille et l'enlever. (fig. 4)
5 Vissez une nouvelle mpoule d ns le sens des iguilles d'une montre. (fig. 5)
6 Essuyez toute tr ce de doigt sur l’ mpoule vec un chiffon sec une fois qu'elle est inst llée.
7 Ré ssemblez l’ pp reil en invers nt les ét pes 1 à 6.

MODE D’EMPLOI DE L’ASPIRATEUR À MAIN
1 Appuyez sur le bouton m rche/ rrêt (on/off).
2 Utilisez l’ spir teur pour spirer l poussière, les débris et les s letés déposés sur les
comptoirs, les sols, etc.
3 Éteignez l’ pp reil v nt de le r nger.
4 Videz et nettoyez le vide-poussière et le filtre près ch que utilis tion ou lorsque le
vide-poussière est plein.
RANGEMENT ET CHARGEMENT
CHARGEMENT
REMARQUE : Ne rech rgez l' pp reil qu' vec le ch rgeur fournit p r le f bric nt.
IM ORTANT : Av nt de l’utiliser pour l première fois, ch rgez l' spir teur pend nt 24 heures
u minimum.
L’interrupteur doit être en position « OFF » lorsque l’ pp reil se ch rge sur le socle. Si l’indic teur
de ch rgement n’est p s llumé, ppuyez sur l’interrupteur on/off pour vous ssurer que l' pp reil
est éteint (off). N’oubliez p s que l’ pp reil ne se ch rge p s si l’indic teur de ch rgement n’est p s
llumé.
1 Posez l' pp reil sur le socle du ch rgeur lorsque vous ne l’utilisez p s.
2 Br nchez le ch rgeur mur l sur l prise.
3 L’indic teur de ch rgement s’ llume lorsque l’ pp reil est posé correctement sur le socle. Il
f ut compter de 16 à 24 heures pour que l’ pp reil se ch rge.
4 L’indic teur reste llumé et de l même couleur lorsque l’ pp reil est ch rgé complètement.
RANGEMENT
Lorsque vous ne l’utilisez p s, r ngez l’ spir teur à m in sur le socle de ch rgement posé à pl t.
