mode 1
Mode 1 is selected when the Mode Selector Switch (A) is in the up position,
or toward the strings. This mode engages the neck pickup only, and is
controlled by the small volume and tone knobs closest to the vibrato assembly
(B & C).
Note that in Mode 1, all other controls are bypassed.

mode 2
Mode 2 is selected when the Mode Selector Switch (A) is in the down
position, or away from the strings. This mode is much more versatile, adding
the three-switch panel into the circuit to engage each pickup and an optional
low-cut tone capacitor for added tonal options.
When using Mode 2, pickups are engaged at the three-switch panel – the
switch closest to the knobs (F) turns the bridge pickup on or off, the middle
switch (E) turns the neck pickup on or off, and the switch closest to the
headstock (D) turns the low-cut tone capacitor on or off.
The volume and tone of Mode 2 are controlled by the lower, larger “G Shield”
knobs furthest from the vibrato assembly (G & H). Note that in Mode 2, the
volume and tone knobs used for Mode 1 (B & C) are bypassed and do not
function.
