Dear customer
Thank you for having chosen a HÆGER product.
The HÆGER products have been produced to think about the welfare of the
consumer privileging the most raised standards of quality, functionality and
assign. We are sure you will be happy with this appliance.
Before using the appliance for the first time please read carefully and
thoroughly through these operating instructions and the safety advice,
completely familiarising yourself with the appliance. Keep these instructions
for future reference and pass them on to whoever might acquire the
appliance at a future date.
General Safety Instructions
When using this or any other electrical appliance, always
follow these basic safety precautions:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
Danger for children
•A power device is not a toy. After use, store it out of
reach of children. Keep packing material (plastic bags,
carton, etc.) out of reach of children.
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and

understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play
with the appliance.
•Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older 8 years and supervised.
•Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
less than 8 years.
WARNING - To reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, or serious personal injury:
•The equipment should only be connected to an earthed socket
installed in accordance with the regulations. It must be operated
with an additional earth-leakage circuit-breaker with a rated
tripping current not exceeding 30 mA.
•Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage
marked on the rating label.
•Always use the product on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
WARNING: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be
high when the appliance is operating. Make sure not to touch these
hot parts of the appliance.
•Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6 inches
of space on all sides of the product to allow adequate air
circulation.
•Do not place the product on or near a gas or electric burner, or
inside or on top of a heated oven or other heat source.
•Do not allow the product to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing,
dishtowels, or other flammable materials during its use.
•Do not move the product while it is plugged in. Allow the product
to thoroughly cool before handling it.

•Do not use attachments not recommended for use with this
product. Use only original spare parts.
•Do not use the product near water or other liquids.
•Do not place or drop the product into water or other liquids. If the
product falls into water, immediately unplug it from the electrical
outlet. Do not touch or reach into the water.
•Do not leave the product unattended while it is in use.
•The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
•Do not put any stress on the Power Cord where it connects to the
product as the Power Cord could fray and break.
•Do not plug or unplug the product into/from an electrical outlet
with a wet hand.
•Keep the product and its Power Cord away from heated surfaces.
•Never operate this product if it has a damaged Power Cord or Plug,
is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged, or exposed
to water or other liquids.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in
order to avoid a hazard.
CAUTION - To reduce the risk of personal injury or
product/property damage:
•Do not allow the Power Cord to hang where it may be tripped over
or pulled (e.g., over the edge of a table or counter).
•Distribute weight evenly on the grill shelf. Maximum weight: 2kg.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
•The unit can be operated outdoors in dry weather. It must however
not become wet.
•Please ensure that the thermostat is correctly inserted into the base,
otherwise the unit cannot be used.
•The thermostat is fitted with a safety switch, making the heating
element automatically switch off if the thermostat is removed from
the unit. Do not touch the heating element when it is on, as it gets
extremely hot.
•To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate
another high-wattage product on the same electrical circuit.
•An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product,
but if one must be used:
−The marked electrical rating of the cord must be at least as great
as that of the product.
−Arrange the extension cord so that it does not hang where it can
be tripped over or pulled unintentionally.
WARNING - In order to avoid overheating this
appliance shall not be covered by any solid or flexible
material such as an aluminium tray, aluminium foil or trays
made of other heat resistant material. The use of such
items or materials on the grill would impair the safety of
your product and could lead to serious damage.
WARNING - Charcoal or similar combustible fuels
must not be used with this appliance.

Electric connection
Before you plug the power plug into the power outlet, ensure that
the mains voltage corresponds with that of the appliance. You can
find information about this on the rating plate. Only connect the
appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.
Assembling the unit
1. Remove any packaging material that may be present.
2. Clean the grids and tray with a moist cloth.
3. Attach the four tube feet (12) one by one on the lower stand
tubes.
4. Attach the middle tubes connector on top and fit them on shelving
plate (11).
5. Attach the upper four tubes (10) on the middle tube connector.
6. Attach the base housing (9) on the upper side of the stand tubes.
7. Fit the side tables (4), fat collector tray (8) and the heating element
(3).
8. Fit the wind shield (2) and the main and small grid (5 & 1).
9. Your appliance is now ready to use.

Operation
Do not touch the hot parts of the device. If necessary,
you should use an oven cloth and hold the device only by
the handle or the recessed grip.
CAUTION: Do not use this product to cook or defrost frozen food. All
food must be completely defrosted before cooking it with this product.
1. Connect the mains plug to the wall socket.
2. Pour cold water into the tray (8) up to the “MAX”Mark.
Note: Pour in the water until it reaches “MAX” mark on tray. You
should always keep water in tray, in order to avoid flame caused
by fat from food. For the first time use, it will presence smoke
from heating tube.
3. Set the thermostat for the desired use: a low or medium
temperature for warming or cooling, MAX. for rapid cooking and
grilling. The indicator light (6) shuts off when the desired
temperature is reached.
4. Put the food directly on the main grid (5). Never use plates, trays
or aluminium foil beneath the food. The grilling time depends on
the thickness of the food. Turn the food from time to time. The
height of the grill grid can be adjusted in three options.
5. After using, please turn the thermostat to “0”and pull the plug out
from socket.
6. When the unit has completely cooled, clean and dry it.

Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING: Before cleaning the appliance, switch it off, unplug it from
the mains socket and wait for it to cool down.
–Use a soft sponge dampened with lukewarm water and possibly
regular dishwashing detergent to clean the plastic parts and the
tray. Particular care should be taken when cleaning the part with
the electrical controls, since the thermostat knob, heating
element, etc. are not to be wet. Should this occur, dry carefully. Do
not immerse the component with electrical controls in water or
other liquids.
–To clean the cooking grill, use a brush with plastic bristles, warm
water and normal dishwashing detergent. Rinse well with running
water and dry carefully.
–Store the appliance in a dry place when not in use. If you are not
going to use the appliance again in the future, it is recommended
that you render it inoperative by cutting the power cord (first
ensuring that the plug has been removed from the socket). Ensure
that no parts of the appliance pose a risk to children who may
come into contact with them.
Troubleshooting
–The heating element is fitted with a safety switch. This prevents
the heating element being operated outside the grill tray. If the
heating does not switch on, please check the connection, whether
the heating element is fitted correctly into the housing.
–Caution! Improper repairs may lead to considerable danger to
the user.

Before disposal, make the appliance unusable by cutting off the power
cable.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local environmental
regulations for waste disposal. For more detailed information about
treatment, recovery and recycling of this product, please contact your
local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop
where you purchased the product.
Guarantee
This unit is covered by a 24 months (*) warranty, from the purchase
date, and covers the repair free of charges of the damaged due to the
manufacturer fault or defected components. The distributor reserves
the right to change the unit for an equivalent model.
The warranty does not cover any damaged caused by incorrect use,
lightning, incorrect installation, external factors or any intentional
damaged. The warranty does not cover damage thus attributable to
falls, blows, spill, exposure to extreme environmental conditions or
deterioration caused by normal use of plastic parts or keyboards, as
well as by the use of batteries other than those specified in this
manual.
For the repairing, during the warranty period, the unit shall be sent to
the distributor or reseller, or to the address indicated by them, and
must be jointed the warranty certificated and the respective original
invoice or selling ticket, where the buying date is expressed indicated.
The consumer is protected by the guarantee provided by Directive
1999/44/CE of European Parliament and Council of 25 May.

CUIDADO - Para reduzir o risco de ferimentos

possa ser tracionado ou puxado (por exemplo, sobre a borda de
uma mesa ou balcão).
•Distribua o peso uniformemente nas prateleiras auxiliares. Peso
máximo suportado: 2kg.
INSTRUÇÕES ESPECIAIS:
•A unidade pode ser operada ao ar livre em clima seco. No entanto,
não deve ficar molhado.
•Certifique-se de que o termóstato está corretamente inserido na
base, caso contrário o aparelho não poderá ser utilizado.
•O termóstato está equipado com um interruptor de segurança,
fazendo com que a resistência de aquecimento se desligue
automaticamente se o termóstato for removido do aparelho. Não
toque na resistência quando esta estiver ligada, pois fica
extremamente quente.
•Para evitar uma sobrecarga do circuito ao usar este produto, não
opere outro produto de alta potência no mesmo circuito elétrico.
•Um cabo de extensão não é recomendado para uso com este
produto, mas se um deve ser usado:
−A classificação elétrica marcada do cabo deve ser pelo menos tão
grande quanto a do produto.
−Posicione o cabo de extensão de forma que ele não caia onde
possa ser tropeçado ou puxado acidentalmente.

Ligação à eletricidade
Antes de ligar o cabo de alimentação na tomada eléctrica, verifique se

a uma tomada de terra devidamente instalada.

Montagem da unidade
1. Remova qualquer material de embalagem que possa estar
presente.
2. Limpe as grelhas e a bandeja com um pano húmido.
3. Prenda os quatro pés do tubo (12) um a um nos tubos inferiores
de suporte.
4. Prenda o conector do tubo central na parte superior e encaixe-o
na placa de prateleiras (11).
5. Prenda os quatro tubos superiores (10) no conector do tubo do
meio.
6. Monte o corpo da base (9) no lado superior dos tubos do suporte.
7. Coloque as mesas laterais (4), o tabuleiro de recolha de gordura (8)
e o elemento de aquecimento (3).
8. Monte o protetor corta vento (2) e as grades principal e pequena
(5 e 1).
9. Seu aparelho está pronto para uso.
Utilização
Não toque nas partes quentes do dispositivo. Se
necessário, use um pano para forno.
CUIDADO: Não use este produto para cozinhar ou descongelar
alimentos congelados. Todos os alimentos devem ser completamente
descongelados antes de cozinhá-lo com este produto.
1. Ligue a ficha à tomada de parede.
2. Despeje água fria no tabuleiro (8) até à marca “MAX”.
Nota: Despeje a água até atingir a marca “MAX” no tabuleiro.

causadas pela gordura dos alimentos. Durante a primeira
utilização, notará algum fumo na resistência de aquecimento.
3. Ajuste o termostato para o uso desejado: uma temperatura baixa
ou média para aquecimento ou resfriamento, MAX. para cozinhar
e grelhar rapidamente. A luz indicadora (6) desliga-se quando a
temperatura desejada é alcançada.
4. Coloque o alimento diretamente na grelha principal (5). Nunca use
pratos, bandejas ou folhas de alumínio por baixo dos alimentos. O
tempo de cozimento depende da espessura da comida. Vire a
comida de vez em quando. A altura da grelha pode ser ajustada
em três opções.
5. Após o uso, por favor, gire o termostato para “0” e retire a ficha de
alimentação da tomada.
6. Quando a unidade estiver completamente arrefecida, limpe-a e
seque-a.
Limpeza e Manutenção
ATENÇÃO: Antes de limpar o aparelho, desligue-o, retire a ficha da
tomada de corrente e aguarde que arrefeça.
–Use uma esponja macia humedecida com água morna e
detergente comum para limpar as peças plásticas e a bandeja.
Tome especial cuidado ao limpar a peça com os controles
elétricos, já que o botão do termostato, o elemento de
aquecimento etc. não devem ser molhados. Se isso ocorrer, seque
com cuidado. Não mergulhe o componente com controles
elétricos em água ou outros líquidos.
–Para limpar a grelha, utilize uma escova com cerdas de plástico,
água morna e detergente normal para louça. Enxaguar bem com
água corrente e secar com cuidado.
–Guarde o aparelho em local seco quando não estiver em uso. Se
não for usar o dispositivo novamente no futuro, é recomendável

deixá-lo inoperante cortando o cabo de alimentação (primeiro,
certificando-se de que a ficha foi removida da tomada). Certifique-
se de que nenhuma parte do aparelho representa um risco para as
crianças que possam entrar em contato com elas.
Resolução de problemas
–O elemento de aquecimento está equipado com um interruptor
de segurança. Isso evita que o elemento de aquecimento seja
operado fora do corpo da base. Se o aquecimento não ligar,
verifique a ligação, se o elemento de aquecimento está
encaixado corretamente no alojamento base.
–Cuidado! Reparações indevidas poderão conduzir a perigos
consideráveis para o utilizador.
