The HÆGER products have been produced to think about the welfare of the
consumer privileging the most raised standards of quality, functionality and
assign. We are sure you will be happy with this appliance.
We assume that the user is familiar with the common procedures of handling
household appliances.
Before you start using your steam generator for the first time, read the operating
instructions carefully and preserve this booklet for later reference. Pass the
manual on to whosoever might acquire the appliance at a future date.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE AT ALL TIMES
Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
•Read these instructions carefully.
•The appliance has been designed for home use only and must not be used
for commercial or industrial purposes.
Danger for children
•Do not leave the packaging near children because it is potentially
dangerous.
•Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and disabled persons
when in use.
•In the event that this appliance is to be disposed of, it is suggested that the
power supply cable is cut off. It is also recommended that all potentially
dangerous components are rendered harmless to prevent children hurting
themselves when playing with the apparatus.
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older
8 years and supervised.

•Children must be supervised at all times to ensure they do not play with the
appliance.
Danger due to electricity
•Before plugging the appliance into the mains socket, ensure that the
voltage shown on the rating plate matches the local voltage supply.
•Always connect the iron to an earthed socket.
•Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
•Do not start ironing if your hands are wet or if you are barefoot.
Danger of damage originating from other causes
•Fill up the tank with water before starting up the appliance. Be sure to
unplug the appliance before pouring water into the tank.
•Turn on the appliance only when it is in working position.
•The appliance may give out a little smoke when used for the first time. This
transitory effect is perfectly normal and is due to the fact that some of
components have been slightly lubricated.
•During use, rest the appliance onto a horizontal surface.
•Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the power
supply.
•The appliance must be used and rested on a stable surface.
•When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the
stand is placed is stable.
•Before leaving the iron unattended, even for a short time, turn off the
appliance, always unplug it and place it on support base.
•Pressing the steam button before the boiler has reached the optimum
temperature or the iron has heated up may cause water to leak from the
steam holes.
•The appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible
sign of damage or if it is leaking. To prevent any accident, all repairs,
including the replacement of the power cord, must be carried out by an
Authorised Service Centre or, in any case, by qualified personnel.
•Do not use the appliance if the power cord appears to be damaged, with
parts showing burns, etc.;
•Do not expose the appliance to atmospheric agents (rain, sun …).

Warning of burns
•Never try to iron garments being worn.
•Do not touch the metal parts of the iron when in operation and for several
minutes after it is turned off since it could cause burns.
•Do not aim the jet of steam towards parts of the body or pets.
Warning –material damage
•We suggest you keep the original box and packaging. The warranty does
not cover any damage resulting from inadequate packaging of the
product when this is sent back to an Authorised Service Centre.
•Remove all protections from the soleplate before using the appliance for
the first time.
•The use of extensions not approved by the manufacturer can result in
damage to property and personal injury.
•Do not use sparkling (carbonated) water.
•When the iron is hot, do not rest it onto the connecting cable or the power
cord. Take special care in ensuring that the cable and the cord do not
come into contact with the soleplate when it is hot.
•Do not pull the power cord to unplug the appliance.
•The appliance must only be cleaned with a soft, slightly damped, cloth
after unplugging the iron and allowing all its parts to cool down. Never use
solvents which may damage the plastic parts.
•To avoid damage and/or contamination of the water tank, do not put
perfume, vinegar, and starch, descaling agents, additives or any other type
of chemical product into the water tank.
•Do not wrap the power cord around the soleplate, especially when the iron
is hot.
•Do not put the soleplate in contact with metal surfaces.
•Put the thermostat knob on MIN before storing the appliance. Turn off the
appliance by pressing the button. Always unplug the power cord and wait
for the iron to cool down.
•The appliance is fitted with a special thermal safety device which prevents
the plate overheating. If any difficulty is experienced in resetting the
appliance, contact your nearest Authorised Assistance Centre.
•We decline any responsibility resulting from misuse or any use other than
those covered in this booklet.

Instructions for Use
Using the appliance for the first time
IMPORTANT: When the iron is used for the first time, the steam control button
must be held down for about 1 minute until the pump starts and steam is
produced.
Before first use, the appliance must be prepared by proceeding as follows:
1. Take out the water tank from the base and pull out the
anti-scale barrel from the water tank.
2. Fill the water tank with untreated tap water - do not
exceed the MAX level.
3. Insert the cartridge and push the water tank on the base.
4. Plug in your steam system to an earthed socket, the base
indicator light will goes on.
5. Turn the thermostat control of the iron to the MAX or (•••) position, the iron
indicator light will goes on.
6. Wait for the soleplate to heat up. When it reaches the correct temperature,
the iron indicator light will goes out.
7. When the indicator light goes out three time, press on the steam control
button and hold it down or push continuous steam slide button for about
one minute (the time that it takes the pump to start and the first bursts of
steam from the appliance) without placing the iron on your garment. Once
the pump has started, press steam button a few times. Now your appliance
is ready for the first ironing session.

IMPORTANT:
•Tap water can be used. If the water in your region is very hard we advise
you to mix the tap water with an equal amount of distilled or demineralised
water. This will prolong the optimum steam function of the steam generator.
You can inquire about the water hardness with your local waterworks.
•The water tank can be filled at any time while using the appliance.
•During it first use the iron may produce certain vapours and odours, along
with white particles on the soleplate, this is normal and it will stop after a few
minutes.
•While the steam release button is pressed, the water tank may produce a
pumping sound, this is normal, indicating that the water is being pumped to
the steam tank.
Dry ironing
Simple do not press the steam control button and you will be dry ironing.
Temperature selection
First check whether the fabric has a label containing ironing instructions and
compare he symbol with the instructions which follow. If there is no label with
instructions, but you know the type of material, follow the instructions below.
Note that these instructions refer to fabrics which have not been treated with
starch or similar substances. If they have, they should be ironed at a lower
temperature.

Steam ironing
IMPORTANT: Before steam ironing, you should ensure that the garment can be
steam ironing according its marked.
•Set the thermostat control station according to the type of material to be
ironed.
•Adjust steam knob，the steam can be adjusted.
•Do not press the steam button and push the continuous steam slide button,
while the water tank is empty.
•To extend the pump life, the unit’s power will cut off automatically if
operating the steam function for more than 10 minutes.
Notes while ironing with steam
•If the steam button is operated continuously for more than 30 seconds, drops
of water may come from the steam holes in the plate of the iron. It is
recommended that the button is used for shorter periods.
•Do not release steam when the iron is standing on its grille rest.
•During the emission of the steam a vibration is felt coming from the inside of
the body: it is the pump that pumps the water from the tank to the iron.
•During ironing, if the indicator light goes out from time to time, this can be
ignored, as it simply means that the iron is maintaining its correct operating
temperature.
Steam in a vertical position
1) Turn the thermostat control to MAX position.
2) Hang the garment from a hanger and stretch the fabric
slightly with one hand.
As the steam produced is very hot, never iron or steam-iron
a garment while it is being worn but always hang the
garment on a hanger.
3) With the iron held vertically and tilted slightly forwards, press intermittently on
the steam button while moving it from top to bottom. To obtain an extra
burst of steam, press the steam button from time to time. If you use starch,
spray it onto the opposite side.
Burst of steam
The burst of steam feature provides additional steam for removing stubborn
creases. This button also allows you to iron delicate articles of clothing vertically.
This feature is called "vertical burst of steam'. To do so, hang your article of
clothing on a hanger, keep the steam button pressed and pass the iron to and
in front of the article of clothing, making sure that the soleplate does not came

into contact with the article of clothing. The distance between the soleplate
and the article of clothing depends on the kind of textile and the creases.
Suggestions
•Divide the articles to be ironed according to the types of material: wool
with wool, cotton with cotton, etc…
•Because the iron heats up much more quickly than it cools down, it is
advisable to start with those fabrics which require lower temperatures and
move on to those which require progressively higher temperatures.
•If the material is made up of more than one type of fibre, always set the
temperature to the fibre which requires less heat. For example, if the
material is made up of 70% synthetics and 30% cotton, set the temperature
control to position (•) (see table) without steam, that is, the temperature for
synthetic fabrics.
•If you do not know the composition of the article to be ironed, choose a
part of the article which will not be seen. Does test ironing on this part to
establish the appropriate temperature (always start with a relatively low
temperature and work up until the ideal temperature is reached).
•Pure (100%) wool articles can be ironed with the iron set to one of the
steam positions. To avoid pure wool, silk and synthetic materials becoming
shiny, it makes good sense to iron them on the reverse side.
•For other materials, especially velvet, which can become shiny very easily,
cover them with a cloth and iron in one direction only, using light pressure.
•The iron must be kept constantly moving over the fabric.
Anti-scale System
This iron has an innovative built-in anti-scale system on the water tank,
consisting of a resin filter that retains the scale substances from the
water, so these cannot reach the steam chamber of the soleplate,
thus extending the life of the iron.
It is essential to pull out anti-scale bag from the cartridge and clean it
once a week. Take out the bag from the cartridge and immerse into
500ml of pure water mixed with 10% salt for 2 hours.
Storing the appliance
1. Always allow the iron to cool down before storing the appliance.
2. Disconnect the power cable form the outlet.
3. Place the iron on the iron pad, standing on the soleplate.
4. Empty the water tank.

Cleaning the appliance
Before cleaning, always disconnect the plug from the power point and allow
the iron to cool down on its stand grille.
Warning! Do not use abrasives for cleaning the soleplate. Try and keep the
soleplate smooth and avoid contact with metal objects.
Warning! Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
Warning! Check the state of the power cable of your iron on a regular basis
before using it, and if it is damaged, take it to the service centre closest to you
to have it replaced only by specialised personnel.
Cleaning the soleplate Any deposits and other residue material on the
soleplate can be removed using a cloth soaked in a water and vinegar
solution. Always dry the soleplate with a dry cloth.
Cleaning plastic parts Clean plastic parts with a damp, non-abrasive cloth
and dry them with a dry cloth.

Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
When you wish to dispose of the appliance, remove the cable and dispose it in
an environmentally friendly way (e.g. recycling plant).

Guarantee
This unit is covered by a 24 months (*) warranty, from the purchase date, and
covers the repair free of charges of the damaged due to the manufacturer
fault or defected components. The distributor reserves the right to change the
unit for an equivalent model.
The warranty does not cover any damaged caused by incorrect use, lightning,
incorrect installation, external factors or any intentional damaged. The warranty
does not cover damage thus attributable to falls, blows, spill, exposure to
extreme environmental conditions or deterioration caused by normal use of
plastic parts or keyboards, as well as by the use of batteries other than those
specified in this manual.
For the repairing, during the warranty period, the unit shall be sent to the
distributor or reseller, or to the address indicated by them, and must be jointed
the warranty certificated and the respective original invoice or selling ticket,
where the buying date is expressed indicated.
The consumer is protected by the guarantee provided by Directive 1999/44/CE
of European Parliament and Council of 25 May.

Perigo devido à electricidade
•Antes de ligar o aparelho a uma tomada de corrente, certificar-se que a
tensão indicada na etiqueta corresponde àquela da rede local.
•Ligue sempre o aparelho a uma tomada com terra.
•Nunca submerja o aparelho em água ou outros líquidos.
•Não utilize o aparelho se estiver com as mãos molhadas ou com os pés
descalços.
Perigo de danos devidos a outras causas
•Encha o reservatório com água antes de ligar o aparelho. As operações
de enchimento de água devem ser efectuadas com a tomada do cabo
de alimentação desligada do ponto de corrente.
•Ligue o aparelho apenas quando este estiver na posição de trabalho.
•Quando o aparelho for usado pela primeira vez, pode ocorrer que este
emane um pouco de fumaça; não se preocupe, esta ocorrência é
perfeitamente normal pois algumas partes foram ligeiramente lubrificadas,

•Durante a utilização deve-se posicionar o aparelho sobre um plano
horizontal.

•Quando o ferro de engomar for colocado sobre seu apoio, certifique-se

sempre o ferro de engomar na respectiva grelha de apoio, comute o
interruptor para a posição de desligado e em seguida desligue o cabo de

•Pressionando-se o botão vapor antes do aparelho ter alcançado a
temperatura óptima ou que o ferro esteja quente, pode fazer com que
saia água pelos orifícios para o vapor.
•O aparelho não deve ser utilizado se tiver caído, se houver sinais de danos
visíveis ou se houver perdas de água. Todas as reparações, inclusive a
substituição do cabo de alimentação, devem ser executadas apenas pelo

Centro de Assistência autorizado ou por pessoa com qualificação similar,
de modo a prevenir qualquer risco.
•Não use o aparelho se o cabo de alimentação estiver danificado, com
partes queimadas, etc. A reparação e a substituição do cabo de
alimentação devem ser efectuadas por um centro de assistência
autorizado, de contrário a garantia perderá a sua validade.
•Não exponha o aparelho a agentes atmosféricos (chuva, sol, etc.).
Aviso relativo a queimaduras
•Nunca tente passar as roupas quando vestidas.
•Não toque as partes metálicas do ferro quando este estiver em
funcionamento e após alguns minutos depois de desligar pois isto pode
causar queimaduras.
•Não oriente o jacto de vapor para partes do corpo ou para animais
domésticos.
Atenção - danos materiais
•Recomenda-se que guarde a embalagem original. A garantia não cobre
a reparação gratuita de quaisquer danos resultantes de embalagem
inadequada do produto no momento do envio do mesmo a um Centro de
Assistência autorizado.
•Antes de utilizar o aparelho pela primeira vez, retire as protecções do
gerador de vapor e do ferro de engomar.
•O uso de extensões eléctricas não autorizadas pelo fabricante do
aparelho pode provocar danos e acidentes.
•Não utilize água com gás (com adição de dióxido de carbono).
•Não apoie o ferro de engomar quente no cabo de ligação ou no cabo de
alimentação e preste muita atenção com que estes não entrem em
contacto com a base quente do ferro.
•Nunca desligue a tomada do ponto de corrente puxando-a pelo cabo.
•Após ter desligado a tomada do cabo de alimentação eléctrica do ponto
de corrente e após todas as partes terem esfriado, o aparelho poderá ser
limpo exclusivamente com um pano não abrasivo humedecido em água.
Nunca use solventes que danifiquem as partes de plástico.
•Para evitar danos e/ou a contaminação do depósito de água, não ponha
no depósito de água perfume, vinagre, goma, agentes descalcificadores,
aditivos ou qualquer outro tipo de produto químico.

•Não enrole o cabo de alimentação ao redor da base do ferro
principalmente quando o ferro estiver quente.
•Não ponha a base do ferro em contacto com superfícies metálicas.
•Antes de guardar o aparelho, posicione o termóstato em MIN.
•Desligue o aparelho pressionando o botão de ligar/desligar. Desligue
sempre a ficha do cabo de alimentação da tomada de corrente e
aguarde que o ferro esfrie.
•O aparelho está munido de um protector térmico de segurança que
bloqueia o sobreaquecimento da base. Caso tal inconveniente se
verifique, para restabelecer o funcionamento do aparelho, procure um
Centro de Assistência Autorizado.
•Não se assumem quaisquer tipos de responsabilidade pelo uso incorrecto
ou por empregos diferentes daqueles indicados neste manual.

Instruções de utilização
Utilização do aparelho pela primeira vez
IMPORTANTE: Quando o ferro é utilizado pela primeira vez, o comando do
vapor deve ser mantida pressionada por cerca de 1 minuto até que a bomba
arranca e o vapor é produzido.
Antes da primeira utilização, o aparelho deve ser preparado procedendo da
seguinte forma:
1. Retire o depósito de água da base e retire o cartucho
anticalcário do tanque.
2. Encha o depósito de água com água da torneira não
tratada - não exceda o nível MAX.

3. Insira o cartucho e empurre o tanque de água na base.
4. Ligue o seu sistema de vapor a uma tomada eléctrica com terra, a luz
indicadora de alimentação na base acende.
5. Rode o controlo de termostato no ferro para a posição MAX ou (•••), a luz
indicadora no ferro, acende-se.
6. Aguarde até que a base do ferro aqueça. Quando atingir a temperatura
correta, a luz indicadora no ferro, apaga-se.
7. Quando a luz indicadora apagar três vezes, pressione o botão de controlo
de vapor e mantenha-o pressionado ou pressione o botão deslizante de
vapor contínuo por cerca de um minuto (o tempo que leva a bomba para
arrancar e sair os primeiros jactos de vapor para fora do aparelho) sem
colocar o ferro sobre o seu vestuário. Uma vez que a bomba foi iniciada,
prima o botão de vapor algumas vezes. Agora, o seu aparelho está pronto
para a primeira sessão de engomar.
IMPORTANTE
•Pode usar água da torneira. Se a água da sua zona for muito dura,
recomendamos que misture em partes iguais água da torneira e água
destilada ou desmineralizada. Isto prolongará o funcionamento ideal do seu
gerador de vapor. Pode entrar em contacto com o fornecedor local de
água para conhecer o grau de dureza da água.
•Pode encher o depósito de água em qualquer momento enquanto utiliza o
aparelho.
•Durante o primeiro uso, o ferro pode produzir certos vapores ou odores,
bem como partículas brancas sobre a base; isso é normal e desaparecerá
após uns minutos.
•Enquanto o botão de saída de vapor permanecer ligado, o depósito de
água pode produzir um som de bombagem, que é normal e indica que se
está a bombear água para o depósito de vapor.
Passagem a seco
Simplesmente não pressione o botão de controlo de vapor e você será a
engomar a seco.
Selecção de temperatura
Verifique antes de mais, que a peça a ser passada apresenta uma etiqueta
com as indicações referentes ao modo de passar e compare o símbolo
indicado na etiqueta com a tabela abaixo. Se faltar a etiqueta com as
instruções de como passar a peça, mas o tipo de tecido é conhecido, siga as
indicações constantes da tabela.

Note que a tabela faz referência a tecidos que não tenham sido tratados com
goma ou substâncias semelhantes. Caso tenham sido, devem ser passados a
ferro a uma temperatura inferior.

Passagem a vapor
IMPORTANTE: Antes de passar a roupa a vapor, deve certificar-se que a peça
pode ser passada a vapor de acordo com a sua indicação.
•Ajuste o termostato de acordo com o tipo de tecido a ser passado a ferro.
•Ajuste o botão de vapor para regular a saída do vapor.
•Não pressione o botão de vapor ou o botão deslizante de vapor contínuo,
se o tanque de água estiver vazio.
•Para prolongar a vida útil da bomba, a alimentação do aparelho será
cortada automaticamente se a função de vapor for utilizada por mais de 10
minutos.
Notas durante a passagem a vapor
•Se o botão de alimentação de vapor for accionado ininterruptamente
por mais de 30 segundos, podem sair gotas de água pelos orifícios de
vapor do ferro, portanto não pressione excessivamente o botão.
•Nunca accione o vapor quando o ferro estiver apoiado na respectiva
grelha.
•Durante a distribuição do vapor poderá sentir uma vibração que provém
do interior do corpo: é a bomba que empurra a água do reservatório ao
ferro de passar.

•Se durante a utilização a lâmpada piloto do ferro de passar se apagar de
vez em quando, é possível continuar a passar normalmente pois a base
do ferro está se mantendo à temperatura ajustada.

Passar a vapor numa posição vertical
1) Gire o controlo do termostato para a posição MAX.
2) Pendure a peça de vestuário num cabide e estica o tecido
ligeiramente com uma mão.
Á medida que o vapor produzido se torna muito quente,
não passe a ferro ou a vapor a roupa enquanto está
vestida, mas sempre pendurada em cabide.
3) Com o ferro na vertical, ligeiramente inclinado para a frente, prima de
forma intermitente no botão de vapor enquanto movê-lo de cima para
baixo. Para obter um jacto adicional de vapor, pressione o botão de vapor
de tempo a tempos. Se usar goma, pulveriza-la do lado oposto.
Jacto de vapor
O jacto de vapor fornece vapor adicional para remover os vincos persistentes.
Este botão também permite passar a roupa delicada verticalmente. Para a
passagem na vertical, a roupa deve estar pendurada num cabide e é
passada sem ser tocada pela base quente do ferro, movimentando o ferro ao
longo do tecido e accionando constantemente o botão do vapor. A distância
entre a base do ferro e o tecido depende do tipo de tecido e dos vincos.
Sugestões
•Separe a roupa a ser passada com base no tipo de tecido: lã com lã,
algodão com algodão, etc.
•Uma vez que o aquecimento da placa é mais rápido que o seu
arrefecimento, aconselha-se iniciar a passar todos os tecidos que requerem
temperaturas mais baixas para então passar aqueles tecidos que
requerem, progressivamente, temperaturas mais elevadas.
•Se o tecido é composto de mais de um tipo de fibra, regule sempre a
temperatura para a fibra que requer menor calor. Por exemplo, se o tecido
é composto e 70% de fibras sintéticas e 30% de algodão, é necessário
regular a temperatura na posição (•) (ver tabela) sem vapor, ou seja,
aquela para os tecidos sintéticos.
•Caso não se conheça a composição do tecido da peça a ser passada,
procure um ponto do tecido que não seja visível. Faça um teste passando
este ponto e estabelecendo a temperatura mais adequada (iniciar sempre
de uma temperatura relativamente baixa e aumentá-la gradativamente
até alcançar aquela adequada).

•Os tecidos de pura lã (100%) também podem ser passados com o ferro
regulado em uma das posições vapor. Para os tecidos de pura lã, seda e
sintéticos, ter o cuidado de passa-los no avesso para evitar que o tecido
passado fique brilhante.
•Para os demais tipos de tecido e, especialmente para o veludo, passa em
uma única direcção de maneira a evitar que fiquem brilhantes (com um
pano), fazendo uma pressão muito leve.
•O ferro de passar deve ser mantido em constante movimento sobre o
tecido a ser passado.
Sistema Anti-Calcário
O ferro inclui um inovador sistema anti-calcário consistente num filtro
de resina no reservatório de água que retém as substâncias
calcárias da água, evitando que estas cheguem à câmara de
vapor da base do ferro tendo como resultado um prolongamento
da vida útil do ferro.
É essencial retirar o saco anticalcário do cartucho e limpá-lo uma
vez por semana. Retire o saco do cartucho e mergulhe em 500 ml de
água pura misturado com 10% de sal durante 2 horas
Guardar o aparelho
1. Deixe o ferro de engomar arrefecer antes de o guardar.
2. Desligue a ficha da tomada de energia.
3. Coloque o ferro de engomar sobre o apoio na base.
4. Esvazie o depósito de água.
Limpeza do Aparelho
Antes de proceder à limpeza do aparelho, desligue sempre a tomada do
ponto de corrente e deixe o ferro esfriar na respectiva grelha de apoio.
Atenção! Não utilize abrasivos para limpar a base do ferro. Limpe-la de
maneira a que fique sempre lisa: evite o contacto com objectos metálicos.
Atenção! Nunca mergulhe o aparelho em água ou outros líquidos
Atenção! Verifique as condições do cabo de alimentação de seu ferro
regularmente antes de utilizá-lo e em caso de danos, levá-lo ao centro de
assistência mais próximo para que seja substituído somente por pessoal
especializado.
