ABS button it will change to the absolute measurement mode. The display
does show “ABS” and “0.00”. Now you can preset a positive correction value.
In this case please keep pressing the ABS button for more than 2 sec. The
display will show SET and the first digit is flashing. After pressing the ABS
button again shortly it will change to the next digit also flashing. Now press
short the REL button in order to preset the desired correction value. If you
keep pressing the REL button the electronic will count up the digits, if desired
until the last digit. As soon as the desired preset of correction value is
finished repress the ABS button again more than 2 sec. Now you can work
with the value of the preset.
After repressing the REL button the IP66 Electronic Caliper will return back to
the relative measurement mode and will keep the original zero point.
Battery Replacement
Abnormal display (unclear display, digits flashing or even no display) shows a
flat battery and it should be replaced. Firstly remove the plastic battery cover
and then loosen the 3 screws from the metal cover. Take out old button cell
and replace a new one (pay attention that the positive pole must face out).
Make sure to fix the seal in a proper way and then fix tightly the 3 screws on
the metal cover.
In case of ingress of moisture or water into the battery cover please take off
battery immediately and dry the battery cover, best with warm compressed air.
