Yourfreezershould beconvenientlylocated forday-to-dayuse inadry,

Donotinstall thefreezerwhere thetemperaturewill gobelow32°F (0°C)or
above110°F(43°C), becauseitwill notmaintainproper temperatures.
Donotinstall thefreezerin alocationexposed torainwater ordirect
sunlight.
Besureto installyourfreezer onafloor strongenoughto supportitwhen
itisfully loaded.
Level Freezer
Levelthefreezer fromsideto sideandfront tobackso thatthelid willseal
properly.Useshims tolevelthe freezerifnecessary.
NOTE: Itshouldnot benecessaryto removethelid duringinstallation.If,
forsomereason, thehingesneed adjustment,calla professionalservice
company.
Clearances and Ventilation
Allowatleast 2”(50.8mm) clearanceonboth sidesofthe freezerand2”
(50.8mm)between thebackof thefreezerand thewall.Leave roomabove
thefreezerto openthelid.
Keepflammablematerials andvapors,such asgasoline,away fromfreezer.
Donotcover thefreezerwith itemssuchas blankets,sheets,tablecloths,
etc.Thisreduces aircirculation.
IMPORTANT:Thisfreezer isdesignedforindoor,householduseonly.Itshould
notbe recessedorbuilt-inanenclosedcabinet. Toensureyourfreezerworks

Donot,under anycircumstances,cut orremovethe third(ground)
prongfromthe powercord.For personalsafety,this appliancemustbe
properlygrounded.
Thepowercord ofthisappliance isequippedwith a3-prong(grounding)
plugwhichmates withastandard 3-prong(grounding)wall outletto
minimizethepossibility ofelectricshock hazardfromthis appliance.
Havethewall outletandcircuit checkedbya qualifiedelectricianto make
suretheoutlet isproperlygrounded.
Whereastandard 2-prongwalloutlet isencountered,it isyourpersonal
responsibilityandobligation tohaveit replacedwitha properlygrounded
3-prongwalloutlet.
Thefreezershould alwaysbeplugged intoitsown individualelectrical
outletwhichhas avoltagerating thatmatchesthe ratingplate.
A115Volt AC,60Hz, 15-or20-amp fused,groundedelectrical supply
isrequired.This providesthebest performanceandalso prevents
overloadinghousewiring circuitswhichcould causeafire hazardfrom
overheatedwires.
Neverunplugyour freezerbypulling onthepower cord.Alwaysgrip plug
firmlyandpull straightoutfrom theoutlet.
Immediatelydiscontinueuse ofadamaged supplycord.If thesupply
cordisdamaged, itmustbe replacedbya qualifiedserviceprofessional
withanauthorized servicepartfrom themanufacturer.
Whenmovingthe freezerawayfrom thewall, becareful nottoroll over
ordamagethe powercord.

Thecontrol,locatedonthefrontofthefreezercabinet,isanadjustabledial
withtemperaturesettingsrangingfrom1(leastcold)to7(coldest)andOff.
1.Turnthetemperaturecontroldialto4(recommendedsetting).
2.Allowthefreezertocoolforseveralhoursbeforeaddingfood.
Adjusting the temperature
Therecommendedsetting(4)isdesignedtomaintainthetemperatureator
near0°F(-17.8°C)undernormaloperatingconditions.
ToAdjusttheFreezerTemperature:
1.Adjustthecontroldialtooneoftheadjacentsettings3(lesscold)or5
(colder).
NOTE:Exceptwhenstartingthefreezer,donotadjustthecontrolmore
thanonesettingatatime.
2.Wait24hoursbetweenadjustmentsforthefreezertemperatureto
stabilize.

ThePowerOn indicatorilluminateswhen thefreezer
isproperlyconnected toelectricalpower.
IMPORTANT: Turningthecontrol dialtoOFF doesnotdisconnect the
freezerfromthe powersupply.Even whenCoolingis turnedOff,the Power
Onindicatorwill remainilluminatedas longasthe freezerisplugged intoan
outlet.
SLIDINGBASKET
Storesmallpackages inthebasket toavoidlosing
theminthe bottomofthe freezer.Thebasket can
bemovedfrom sidetoside oritcan beremoved
whenloadingor unloadingthefood belowit.
Toremovebasket, liftitstraight upandout. To
replacebasket,lower basketbackinto place.

IMPORTANT:
•Storethe freezerkeyin alocationaway fromthefreezer andnoteasily
accessibletochildren.
•Thekey slotisspring loadedorequivalent sothatthe keymustbe
manuallyheldin thelockin anypositionof thelock.
To Lock/Unlock the Freezer:
Closethefreezer lid,insertthe key,pushin andturnthe keytolock. To
unlock,insertthe key,pushin andturnthe keyinthe oppositedirection.
WARNING Topreventa childfrombeing entrapped,keepthe key
outofreach ofchildrenand awayfromthe freezer.
RECOMMENDEDGROUNDINGMETHOD
A115Volt, 60Hz,AC only,15-or 20-ampfused,grounded electrical
supplyisrequired. Itisrecommended thataseparate circuitservingonly
yourfreezerbe provided.Usean outletthatcannot beturnedoff bya
switch.Donot useanextension cord.
