gobelow55°F(13°C)becauseitwillnotrunoftenenoughto
maintainpropertemperatures.
• Donotinstalltherefrigeratorwherethetemperaturewillgo
above110°F(43°C)becauseitwillnotperformproperly.
• Selectasuitablelocationfortherefrigeratoronahard
evensurfaceawayfromdirectsunlightorheatsource,e.g.
radiators,baseboardheaters,cooking appliances,etc.Any
floorunevennessshouldbecorrectedwiththelevelinglegs
locatedonthefrontbottomcornersoftherefrigerator.
• Installitonafloorstrongenoughtosupportitfullyloaded.
• Donotinstalltherefrigeratorinalocationexposedtowater
(rain,etc.)ordirectsunlight.
NOTE: Asthedoorgetspressedinduringshipping,after
reversingthedoor,thegasketmayhavetobereset.Thisis
donetopreventthecoolrefrigerated airfromescaping.If
thereisagapbetweenthedoorgasketandthecabinet,set
thegasketbygentlypullingitouttosealthegap.
IMPORTANT:Thisrefrigeratorisdesignedforfreestanding

UNPACKINGYOURREFRIGERATOR
1. Removeallpackagingmaterial.Thisincludesthefoambase
andalladhesive tapeholdingtherefrigeratoraccessories
insideandoutside.
2. Inspectandremoveanyremainsofpacking,tapeor
printedmaterialsbefore poweringontherefrigerator.
LEVELINGYOURREFRIGERATOR
• Yourrefrigeratorhastwolevelinglegswhicharelocatedin
thefrontbottom cornersofyourrefrigerator.Afterproperly
placingyour refrigeratorinitsfinalposition,youcanlevel
yourrefrigerator.
• Levelinglegscanbeadjustedbyturningthem
counterclockwisetoraise yourrefrigeratororbyturning
themclockwisetoloweryourrefrigerator.The refrigerator
doorwillcloseeasierwhenthelevelinglegsareextended.
CAUTION EXPLOSION HAZARD
Donotpuncture refrigerant tubing. Flammable refrigerant
used.Handlewith care when moving refrigeratortoavoid
eitherdamaging therefrigerant tubing or increasing therisk
ofaleak.
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third
(ground) prong from the power cord. For personal safety,
this appliance must be properly grounded.
Thepowercord of this appliance isequippedwitha
3-prong(grounding)plug which mates with astandard
3-prong(grounding)wall outlet to minimize thepossibility
ofelectricshock hazard from this appliance.
Havethewall outlet and circuit checkedbyaqualified
electriciantomake sure the outlet isproperlygrounded.
Whereastandard 2-prong wall outlet isencountered,it
isyourpersonal responsibility and obligation tohaveit
replacedwitha properly grounded 3-prong walloutlet.
Therefrigeratorshould always be plugged intoitsown

performanceandalso prevents overloading house wiring

Neverunplugyour refrigerator by pulling onthepower
cord.Alwaysgrip plug firmly and pullstraightoutfromthe
outlet.
Immediatelydiscontinueuse of a damaged supplycord.
Ifthesupply cord is damaged, itmustbereplacedbya
qualifiedserviceprofessional with an authorized service
partfromthe manufacturer.
Whenmovingthe refrigerator away from thewall, be

CLEANING

CAUTION Beforeusingcleaning products, always
readandfollow manufacturer’s instructions and warningsto
avoidpersonalinjury or product damage.
General
•Preparea cleaning solution of 3-4tablespoonsofbaking
sodamixedwith warm water. Use spongeorsoftcloth,
dampenedwiththe cleaning solution, to wipedownyour
refrigerator.
•Rinsewith clean warm water anddrywithasoftcloth.
•Donot use harsh chemicals, abrasives,ammonia,chlorine
bleach,concentrateddetergents, solvents or metal
scouringpads.Some of these chemicals maydissolve,
damageand/ordiscolor your refrigerator.
CAUTION Donotclean glass shelves or coverswith
warmwaterwhen they are cold. Glassshelvesandcovers
maybreakif exposed to sudden temperaturechangesor
impact,suchas bumping or dropping. Tempered glassis

Door Gaskets
•Cleandoor gaskets every three monthsaccordingto
generalinstructions.Gaskets must be kept cleanandpliable
toassurea proper seal.
•Petroleumjelly applied lightly on thehingesideofgaskets
willkeepthe gasket pliable and ensureagoodseal.
Defrost
Defrostwheneverfrost on the wall ofthefreezer
compartmentbecomes1/8” thick.
Fordefrostinginstructions, see Defrosting on page8.
DANGER EXPLOSIONHAZARD

tubing. Flammable refrigerant used. Do not use metal
instruments to defrost refrigerator. Do not puncture
refrigerant tubing.
Makesurethedriptrayisinplaceandunplugtheunit.Defrosting
usuallytakesafewhours.Todefrostfaster,keepthedoor
openandplaceabowlofwarmwaterintherefrigerator.After
defrosting,emptywaterfromthedriptrayandwashthedrip
trayinwarmwater.
MAINTENANCE

Power Interruptions
•Occasionallythere may be power interruptionsdueto
thunderstormsorother causes. Remove the powercord
fromwalloutlet when a power outageoccurs.Whenpower
hasbeenrestored, replug power cord towalloutlet.If
outageisfor a prolonged period, inspectanddiscard
spoiledorthawed food in freezer andrefrigerator.Clean
refrigeratorbeforereusing.
Vacation and Moving Care
•Forlong vacations or absences, emptyfoodfrom
refrigeratorandfreezer, move the temperature dialtothe
“Off”positionand clean the refrigerator anddoorgaskets
accordingto“General Cleaning” section. Prop doorsopen,
soaircan circulate inside. When moving,alwaysmove
therefrigeratorvertically. Do not move withtheunitlying
down.Possibledamage to the sealed systemcouldoccur.
EnergySavingTips
•Therefrigeratorshouldbelocatedinthecoolestareaof
theroom,awayfromheat-producingappliancesorheating
ducts,andoutofdirectsunlight.
•Lethotfoodscooltoroomtemperaturebeforeplacing
intherefrigerator.Overloadingtherefrigeratorforces
thecompressortorunlongerandthusincreasesenergy

NEmettezPASl’appareilcomplètementàplat,lesystèmede
refroidissementpourraitêtreendommagé.
1.Dévissezlesvisducachedelacharnièresupérieureetretirez
lecache.Dévissezlesvisdelacharnièresupérieureetretirez-
la.Retirezlescachesdesvisducôtégauche.Tirezlaportede
l’appareilverslehautpourlaretirer.
2.Enlevezlepieddemiseàniveauetlacharnièreinférieureen
dévissantlesvisdefixation.
3.Installezlepieddemiseàniveauetlacharnièreinférieureducôté
opposé.Serrezlesvisdelacharnièreinférieure.
4.Faitesglisserlaportesurl’axedelacharnièreinférieure.Replacez
lacharnièresupérieuresurlecôtéopposéetvérifiezquela
charnièreetlaportetournentcorrectement.Serrezlesvisde
lacharnièresupérieure.Replacezlecachedelacharnièreet
lescachesdesvisducôtédroit.Serrezlesvisducachedela
charnière.
5.Vérifiezquelaporteestparfaitementalignée,horizontalement
etverticalement,etquelesjointsadhèrentdetouslescôtés
avantdeserrerlacharnièresupérieure.Réglezlespiedsdemiseà
niveau.
