INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR 250W & 400W CAYMAN SUN SYSTEM

1. Unpack the system.
2. Carefully remove the packaging material from the fixture.
3. Verify that your order was shipped complete
(reflector, LED transformer, hanging wires)
4. With a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 2 screws attached to the angle lens holder.
5. Slide glass lens out of the fixture.
6. Follow the procedures below for proper installation of the Metal Halide bulb.
Do not screw the lens bracket holder until the system is pre-tested.
7. The ballast and bulb wattage must be equal.
8. Connect the ballast quick disconnect with the system lamp cord.
9. Connect ballast power cord to 3 prong grounded (GFCI) outlet
(We recommend using the 5 outlet shock buster GFCI) and grounded timers, only.
10. If unit is working properly turn off the ballast and unplug the unit.
If unit is hot let it cool down for a few minutes before installing it.
11. Screw the lens holder back into the reflector using a Phillips screw driver
12. Follow the hanging instructions.
READ before touching bulb!
IMPORTANT WARNING:
1. DO NOT touch bulb with bare hand.
2. DO NOT operate bulb without fixture’s glass in place.
Installing the Lamp:
The lamp should be used only in fixtures designed for it. The fixture must be equipped with a protective
cover glass. Any finger prints should be wiped off lamp with a soft clean cloth dabbed slightly with alcohol.
Install the bulb with protective gloves or a soft cloth. Push both bulb ends into socket simultaneously
with equal force. Both ends should go into socket at the same time. Do not ignite the lamp if it is broken.
The warranty does not apply to broken ceramic ends. Proper care and placement must be taken to
ensure that the ceramic tips do not break.

Cayman Sun System Hanging Instructions
1. Determine the distance on the ceiling you would like to hang the
system. Please note: system will be hung on an inverted V shape.
2. Disconnect the adaptor that will be mounted to the ceiling by
removing the Phillips screw located on the side of the adaptor.
3. Screw the adaptor to the ceiling using the Phillips screw provided
with the unit.
4. Once the ceiling adaptor is securely in place mount the system by
looping the wire in the same manner that you remove it on step 2.
5. To adjust the wire height, you can push the wire into each adaptor
on top of the system. If you need to release more wire from the
system press the top of the wire holder into the unit and pull wire
out.
6. Connect ballast lamp cord to ballast quick disconnect.
7. Connect ballast power cord to 3 prong grounded (GFCI) outlet
(We recommend using the 5 outlet shock buster GFCI) and
grounded timers, only.

WARNING
Turn off and unplug Light System before touching Aquarium or Light System. This is not a water or moisture proof
system. Water or moisture should not come in contact with any part of the system. A UV glass lens is required to cover
the entire top of the aquarium to avoid moisture evaporation or water contact with lighting system. Do not place objects on
top of this product. Do not place electrical items (power outlets, timers, ballasts, electrical cord connections, etc.) behind
or under the aquarium (to avoid accidental water spillage or splash on electrical items), place on a dry, protected shelf
away from water splash. Do not use this system if any part has been in contact with water, even if still operational,
electrical contacts may become corroded by water exposure. Never modify, alter or rewire this system. Contact the
manufacturer for return authorization number (RA #) for repair. Shut off the power (electricity) to the system before
removing bulbs prior to replacement, to avoid injury. In the event of a system malfunction, un-plug the system
immediately. After unplugging system contact the manufacture. A weekly routine maintenance (clearing dust, checking for
water splatter and corrosion, replacing bulbs, etc.) may be performed by the user. Do not use an ungrounded 2 prong
timer. If your do not have grounded outlets, contact an electrician. Connect lighting system to 3-prong grounded Ground
Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) outlet (we recommend using the 5 outlet shock buster GFCI) and grounded timers, only.
SHIPPING DAMAGE
Shipping damage is the responsibility of the carrier and claims for such damage should be made directly to the
carrier. If your product was shipped via UPS, you must call 1-800-PICK-UPS.
The manufacture shall not be liable for injury or damage caused by improper use or handling.
