DVTH1 32-A
This model h as been desi gned to control a room’s ambi-
ent temperature.
The DVT H 132-A has one temperature sensor lo ca ted
in the control module.
DVTH1 32-AF
This model is design ed to use a floor sensor to co ntrol the
room tempe rature.
The DVTH132-AF has two temperature sensors:
• The first one, inst alled in the control module, controls
the a mbient temperature.
• The seco nd one , inst alled in the fl oor (and connected
to the power b a se), limits the temperature of the floor
(the default settin g of
this limit is 28°C).
DVTH1 32-F
This model is designed to co ntrol floor hea ting systems.
The DVT H132-F ha s one temperature sensor inst alled
in the floor (sensor is connected to the powe r base).
DVTH 132 has two switche s, located on the upper-left
part on the rea r of the control module, which are used to
set the fo llowing options:
Early Start
When th e Early Start function is en able d (disabled by
default), DVTH132 calculates the optimum system start
time to obtain the d esired temperature by the se t time. To
enable this function:
Po si tion switch #1 down .
Note: Whe n this function is enabled, the
system can be activated before the pro-
gram’s start time.
Tempera tur e Dis play
By de fault, DVT H132 displa ys the temperature in ° C. If
you wish to change to °F:
Po si tion switch #2 up.
Note: When you switch from °C to °F or vice
versa , the , a nd setpoi nts must be
redefined.

Temperature Control
DVTH132 thermos tat works differently than conventional
electromechanical thermos tats.
It is equipped with a proportional integral adaptive (P IA)
controller which determines heating cycles by analyzing
the temperature behavior history within the room.
The P IA controller reduces temperature swings providing
accurate temperature control while increasing us er com-
fort.
The controller determines the amount of power required
by the heating sys tem to maintain the setpoint tempera-
ture.
When the heating sys tem is activated, one of the following
icons is displayed:

Introduction
T he PB130-230 p ower base is desi gned to power aDVT H13 x
Series con trol mo dule. The resistive load must not exceed
3680 watts (NI) @ 230 VAC (16 A).
Installation Guidelines
Tu rn off power to the heating system at the main power pa ne l
to avoid e le c trical shoc k. Installa ti on s h o u ld be ca r rie d out by
a n elec tr ic ia n.
All work must conform to the most recent country’ s regu la-
tions for electrical inst allations an d wiring.
Th is thermost at should be connected on a circuit equ ipped
with a fuse or a circuit breaker . It must be installed on a certi-
fied el ectrica l box.
Fo r a new inst alla tion, choo se a lo cation about 1.5 m (5 ft.)
above th e floor.
The thermost at must be installed facing the heating system.
The thermostat must be installed on an inside wall.
Avoid locations where there are air dra fts (top of stairca se, air
outlet), dead air spo ts (b ehind a door), d irect sunl ight or con-
cealed chimne ys or stove pipe s.
Remove the scre w holding the con-
trol module to the power base.
Note that the scre w can not be
completely re moved.
If yo u have a wall plate : Before making
the co nnections, make sure that the base
covers t he ele ctrical box entirely. If n ot,
inse rt the cover pl ate on rear of the base.
NOTE: T he cover plate can be used to cover
the pla te for aesthetics.
Connect the wires:
•Power :
Terminals 1 and 5
•Lo ad:
Terminals 2 and 4
•F loo r sensor :
Terminals 6 and 7
(no pola rity needs
to be respected )
Do n ot pla ce the floor sensor
directly next to an element but
rather, for maximum
performance, the floor sensor should be ce ntered be tween the wire s
in the mat (80°C max.). The tem pera ture sensor wire ca nnot la y
across any heater wires.
If the lo ad is driven thro ugh a
contactor, a snubber must be inst alled
at the con tactor’s co il termina l. See
wiring dia gram below.
Push wires into th e electrical box an d secure
the base to the electrical box anchora ge.
Th e head of the screw must be less
than 2mm th ick.
Con figure the switches (if neces-
sary) a nd install the co ntrol mod-
ule o nto the power base (r efer to
the user gu id e).
Return power to the heating system .
