Dear custumer,
This is your manual for the HFB 6101 remote control, a high quality pro-
duct from Hautec. Thank your condence in Hautec.
This manual will give you basic information how to use the remote control
HFB 6101. The SC 6001 is built into the heat pump, this is operated by
this HFB 6101 remote control. All errors and informations from the HSC
6001 heat pump controller are displayed on this remote control HFB 6101
remote control. Please read the following instructions carefully.
For your safety
All works on the controller and on the heating system (installation, mainte-
nance etc.) must be carried out by a certied technician.
TIP: The controller is pre-programmed. If the timer and temperature valu-
es correspond to the requirements of your installation, then it is not neces-
sary to make a new setting.

o Button A: Escape- (back-) function
o Button B: to change values= turn it; to save values=push it
o Soft key 1: quick select heating circuit 1 (see page 3)
- if the heating circuit is activated, the ow temperature is shown beside this
button
o Soft key 2: quick select heating circuit 2 (see page 3) {optional}
- if the heating circuit is activated, the ow temperature is shown beside this
button
o Soft key 3: quick select global function (Time, Date..) see page 4
o Soft key 4: quick select hot water (see page 5) {optional}
- if the hot water circuit is activated, the hot water temperature is shown
beside this button
o Soft key 5: quick select heat pump (see page 6)
o Soft key 6: information/current Error
- During normal heating mode an „i” is shown beside this button. In case of
error, a intermittent alarm symbol will appear. By pushing this button the error
description will be shown (see page 7).
The picture above shows the standard layout of the display.
This layout will be shown automatically, after a power loss or
if no adjustment has been made within a determinate period of
time.
The user will access the main functions by using the soft keys.
Normally if the display light is switched off, you can switch it on
by pushing any button. To activate its functions, push it once
again.

B. quick select Heating Circuit 1 or 2 (soft key 1 or 2)
o With the quick select Heating Circuit, you can make the
following settings:
- Normal room temperature heating
- Economic room temperature heating
- Operating Mode
(0=Standby, 1-3=Time program I-III, 4= normal heating mode,
5=economic heating mode, 6= summer mode, 7= manually operated
heating mode, 8= manually operated cooling mode {optional})
- Normal room temperature cooling {optional}
- Economic room temperature cooling {optional}
- Time/Clock program
o By using the Turn/Push button B on heating circuit 1 or 2 the
comfort level can be adjusted:
- by turning the button B the comfort level may be adjusted by up
up to +/-3K. It affects the normal and the energy saving/economic
temperature.

D. quick select Hot Water Circuit (soft key 4)
o With the quick select ‘hot water’ function, it is possible to
make following adjustments:
- hot water set temperature
- operating mode
0= no charging, 1= automatic, 2= normal daytime temperature, 3=according
to the heating circuit
-Time/Clock program
Example:
The hot water set point temperature (e.g. 50°C), will be shown
after pushing the Soft key 1. To make adjustments in it (e.g.
45°C), just turn button B. To save it, just push button B.

E. quick select Heat Pump (soft key 5)
o With quick select “Heat Pump Function”, it is possible to make
following adjustments:
-Manually operated defrosting (only for air to water heat pumps)
-Operating mode
-Set and current values (temperatures, operating hours etc.)
Example:
To view the temperature values and the operating hours, just
push the Soft key 4. To list the temperatures and operating
data, just turn button B. To return to the above shown display,
just push ESC-button.

F. Errors (1):
In case of error, the display will show an intermittent alarm symbol
on the lower right corner (see page 2). To visualize the error description,
push Soft key 6. To quit the error message, just push button B, after fixing
the fault.
Main Error Messages:
Water pressure - source
The pressure switch (brine circuit), was activated.
Check the pressure of the brine system (manometer). If necessary call
your installer.
Frost protection - source
The source outlet temperature is under the programmed limit. If it
happens again, please call your installer.
Motor protection source pump / Motor protection compressor
Motor protection of the source pump or of the compressor was
activated. Please call your installer.
High pressure / High pressure caused by sensor
High pressure pressostat or sensor is activated.
Open the isolating valves of the heating system. Bleed the heating
system.
If this error keeps indicated, please call your installer.
Low pressure caused by sensor
Low pressure sensor was activated.
Please call your installer.

F. Errors (2):
Frost protection - condenser
The temperature of the condenser outlet sensor decreased the
programmed limit, during the cooling or defrosting process. The flow
rate in the heating system is lower than the required value.
Open the heating circuits at the manifold. If the fault has not been
solved by this, please call your installer.
Defrost error
The flow temperature is lower than the permitted value, during the
defrosting process.
The defrost operation has been stopped caused by frost protection.
Phase monitoring (some power supplies)
The rotating field of the compressor is not correct; phase failure; over
current switch of the soft starter is activated.
Please call your installer.
Hot gas error
The permitted hot gas temperature has been exceeded. If it happens
again please call your installer.
Frost protection hot water heat pump
The temperature of the frost protection sensor of the hot water heat
pump (return circuit) underruns the programmed limit. The hot water
heat
pump has been switched off, caused by frost protection.
Open the heating circuits at the manifold.
If the fault is not solved by this, please call your installer.
Messages:
Flow temperature deviation
If the set temperature of the heating system has not been reached
within a certain period of time, this message will appear. It will
disappear automatically when the set temperature has been reached.
Menu levels:
The following page shows a short overview about the menu structure.
It shows the menu up to deepest level using the example of heating
circuit 1. The other menus (Heating circuit 2, hot water) have the same
structure.

1 Adjustments MB
6100 / MB 6400
1.1 eBUS-Scan
At the rst start-up, an eBUS
scan must be carried out. The MB
nds all eBUS units this way, which
are immediately listed.
After the eBUS scan has been
carried out, the found units are
stored even after a power failure.
Example:
1. Start-up or RESET
(Press RESET briey one time
with a ne pen)
The device designation appears
on the display, as well as the
software version.
•Press Enter (rotary knob). The
MB 6x00 is started, or after a
time-out of a few seconds, the
MB 6x00 jumps to the display as
in step 2.
2. Select the eBUS scan function
with the rotary knob and conrm
by pressing it.
3. The eBUS scan is started by
pressing on the rotary knob.
4. The display delivers the
information on the scanning
process and the found units.
5. After the scan has been ended
successfully, the controller jumps
back to the original step.
•The found units and their
functions can be found under
“Select functions.

The start display appears during
start-up or after a RESET.
Example:

5. Press the Esc button until the
controller jumps to the screen as
described in step 2.
• Select Functions with the rotary
knob and conrm by pressing it.
6. The MB is now in the function
selection of the controller

1.2.1 Compensation room
temperature (uncoded)
With the function Compensation
room temperature the measured am-
bient temperature value of the MB
can be adapted to the value of an
external measuring instrument.
Example:
1. The standard display shows the
measured room temperature
witch should be adapted.
2. Select the Settings MB function
with the rotary knob and conrm
by pressing it.
3. Select the Compensation room
temp. function with the rotary
knob and conrm by pressing it.
4. The compensation of room
temperature can be set/changed
with the rotary knob by rotating it.
5. The adapted compensation of
room temperature can be stored
by pressing the rotary knob.
Displayed is the temperature dif-
ference (in Kelvin) witch is added on
the current measured value. Range
of adjustment -3 K to + 3 K)
6. The standard display shows the
measured room temperature with
the correction of the value of +
1.5 K witch is added.
(22.3 °C + 1.5 K = 23.8 °C)
The correction value of the room
temperature sensor remains stored
also after a power-off.

name (uncoded)
The listed functions can be renamed.
Example:
1. Select the Heating circuit 1
function with the rotary knob and
conrm by pressing it.
• The MB 6x00 jumps to the
standard display of the selected
heating circuit/heat generator.
2. Select the Menu function by
pressing the rotary knob.
3. Select Function Name with
the rotary knob and conrm by
pressing it.
4. The actual name of the function
appears, which now can be
renamed.
5. By turning the rotary knob to the
left side, the cancel function < is
active.
• By pressing the rotary knob, the
letters become cancelled one by
one.
6. By turning the rotary knob to the
right and left side, the letters can
be selected.
• By pressing the rotary knob the
letters become stored one by
one.
7. To conrm the new written name
press the Esc button.
• By pressing the Save rotary
knob, the changed function name
can denitively be saved 19
8. Press the Esc button several
times, until the actual function list
appears.

1.3 Settings MB (coded)
After the password has been inser-
ted, two additional functions appear
in the „Settings MB“-List.
1. Select the Settings MB function
with the rotary knob and conrm
by pressing it.
2. Select the Enter Password
function with the rotary knob and
conrm by pressing it.
3. Set the password with the rotary
knob and conrm by pressing it.
You will get the password from a
technician.
If the password is wrong, the
controller jumps back to step 2.
4. The following functions can be
selected:
• Language selection
• MB Master Nr. (only with code)
• Temperature scale
• 24h <-> 12 h
• Date format
• Compensation room temperature
• Zone mapping (only with code)
• Enter Password
The password MB is not the
same as the password on „General
functions“ for the controller-settings.
5. After a timeout of 2 minutes the
display switches to the list of
functions without code. To get
to the coded functions, the code
has to be inserted again.

If only one MB is used in the system,
the address does not have to be
changed.
With the MB Master number function,
the master operation system is
integrated within an eBUS network.
To do this, rst the password must
be entered. See Chap. 1.2, page 6,
steps 2, 3, 4.
First enter the Password as
described on 1.3, page 9
1. Select the MB Master
numberfunction with the rotary
knob and conrm by pressing it.
• The factory setting of the MB‘s
eBUS address appears.
2. The eBUS address can be set/
changed with the rotary knob by
rotating it.
• The set/changed eBUS address
can be stored with the rotary
knob by pressing it.
Rotating quickly speeds up the input.
The selected eBUS address is kept after
a reset.
Never use the same address two times.
