Requirements
• The light control requires 120-volts AC.
• This fixture is designed for wall mounting only.
• If you want to use Manual Mode, the control must be
wired through a switch.
• Some codes require installation by a qualified
electrician.
• This product is intended for use with the enclosed
gasket and with a junction box marked for use in wet
locations.
• The backplate has knockouts so the sensor can be
mounted on most junction boxes.
• In some applications a universal adaptor plate may
be needed. Adaptors are available at Home Centers
and Electrical Supply Stores.

INSTALLATION
Wire the Light Control
WARNING:Turn power off at the fuse or circuit
breaker.
1. Remove the existing light fixture.
2. The S-hook can be used to hold the fixture while
wiring. The small end of the hook can be inserted
into a hole in the junction box. The large end goes
around the “neck” of the fixture.
3. Route the light control’s wires through the large
gasket hole.
4. Twistthejunctionboxwiresandfixturewirestogether
as shown. Secure with a wire connector.
Mount the Light Control
1. Align the light control cover plate and cover plate
gasket and the junction box. Insert and tighten the
mounting screws.
2. If not installed on a weatherproof box or if an adap-
tor plate is used, caulk the wall plate and mounting
surface with silicone weather sealant.

CAUTION: For proper operation and safety, the
sensor head must be rotated so that the controls
are on the bottom. Keep the lamp head at least 2" (51
mm) from the sensor.

WARNING: In order to reduce the risk of FIRE,

these Safety Instructions.
1. Keep lamp at least 24" (61 cm) from flammable ma-
terials such as paper, cardboard, wood, and fabrics.
Do not aim at objects closer than 3 feet (1 m).
2. Bodily injury can occur from close contact to base
or front of lamp and lamp guard.
3. Do not look directly into lamp.
4. Do not operate with missing or damaged lamp
containment barrier (glass cover).
Bulb Replacement
Replace with type T halogen, 500 W maximum, 120
VAC lamp only.
a. Disconnect fixture from power source and allow 20
minutes to cool.
b. Remove glass cover and remove the old bulb by
pushing the bulb towards the right until the left side
of the bulb is clear of the left socket.
c. Do not handle bulb with bare skin. Use clean gloves
or a cloth to install new bulb.To insert the new bulb,
push the bulb into the right socket so the bulb fits
completely into the left socket.
Note: Oil from skin can greatly reduce Bulb life.
d. Check that the bulb is seated properly.
e. Reinstall the glass cover.
For easy installation, select an existing light with a wall
switch for replacement.
For best performance, mount the fixture about 8 ft.(2.4 m)
above the ground. NOTE: If fixture is mounted higher than
8 ft. (2.4 m), aiming the sensor down will reduce coverage
distance.

IMPORTANT
Avoid aiming the sensor at:
• Objects that change temperature rapidly, such as
heating vents and air conditioners. These heat
sources could cause false triggering.
• Areas where pets or traffic may trigger the control.
• Nearby large, light-colored objects reflecting light
may trigger the shut-off feature. Do not point other
lights at the sensor.

1. Turn on the circuit breaker and light switch.
NOTE: Sensor has a 1 1/2minute warm up period
before it will detect motion. When first turned
on, wait 1 1/2minutes.

Final Settings
1. Secure the sensor head's
aim by tightening the clamp
screw. Do not overtighten

2. Adjust the RANGE as
needed. RANGE set too

3. Set the amount of TIME you want the lights to stay
on after motion is detected (1, 5, or 20 minutes).
4. Set the DualBrite®switch to the amount of time af-
ter dusk you want the lights on at low level (Off, 3,
6 Hrs., Dusk-to-Dawn). Selecting OFF defeats only
the dim mode. If motion is sensed, the light turns
on full bright for the ON-TIME (1, 5, or 20 minutes)
then returns to dim mode.
WARNING: Risk of fire. Do not aim the bulbs
at a combustible surface within 3 ft. (1 m).

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:
Should this product fail to perform satisfactorily due to a defect or poor workmanship within one year of date of
purchase, return it to the place of purchase and it will be replaced, free of charge. Incidental or consequential
damages are excluded from this warranty. Light bulbs are not covered.

INSTALACIÓN
Cablee el Control de Luz
ADVERTENCIA:Desconectelaenergíaalcircui-
to de alumbrado en el fusible o en el disyuntor.
1. Retire el artefacto de luz existente.
2. El gancho en S puede ser usado para sostener al
artefacto mientras se cablea. El extremo pequeño
del gancho puede ser insertado en un orificio de la
caja de empalme.El extremo largo va alrededor del
“cuello” del artefacto.
3. Guíe los alambres de control de la lámpara por el
orificio mayor del empaque.
4. Tuerza juntos, como se muestra, los alambres de la
caja de empalmes y del artefacto. Asegúrelos con
un conector de cable.
Instale el Control de Luz
1. Alinee la tapa del control de luz con el empaque
de la tapa y con la caja de empalme. Ponga y
ajuste los tornillos de montaje.
2. Sinoseinstalaenunacajaapruebadeintemperie
o si se usa una plancha adaptadora, calafatee
la plancha de pared y la superficie de montaje
con sellante silicona contra la intemperie.

2. Una lesión corporal puede suceder por contacto
directo con la base, con la parte delantera o con
el protector de la lámpara.
3. No mire directamente a la lámpara.
4. No trabaje con una lámpara que no tenga la barrera
protectora (cubierta de vidrio) o que la tenga dañada.
Cambio de la bombilla
Cambie la bombilla solamente con una halógena tipo
T, 500W max., 120 VCA.
a. Desconecte el artefacto de la fuente de energía y
déjelo enfriar 20 minutos.
b. Retire la cubierta de vidrio y extraiga la bombilla
vieja empujándola a la derecha hasta que su lado
izquierdo esté libre del zócalo.
c. No manipule la bombilla con manos desprotegidas.
Use un paño o guantes limpios para instalar la nueva
bombilla. Para poner la nueva bombilla, empújela
contra el zócalo derecho para que también pueda
acomodarse bien en el zócalo izquierdo.
Nota: La grasa de la piel puede reducir bastante la
vida de la bombilla.
d. Revise que la bombilla esté correctamente en sitio.
e. Reinstale la cubierta de vidrio.
Para una fácil instalación escoja una luz con un
interruptor de pared.
Para un mejor funcionamiento, instale el aparato a casi
2.4 m del suelo. NOTA: Si el aparato está instalado a
más de 8 pies (2,4 m), si se apunta el detector hacia
abajo se reducirá la distancia de cobertura.

IMPORTANTE
Evite apuntar el sensor a:
• Objetos que cambian rápidamente de temperatura,
tales como ventosas de calor, acondicionadores
de aire. Estas fuentes de calor pueden ocasionar
activaciones erróneas.
• Lugares donde el tráfico o mascotas puedan activar
el control.
• Objetos cercanos grandes de colores claros que
al reflejar luz puedan activar el apagado. No enfoque
otras luces al sensor.

1. Prenda el cortacircuitos y el interruptor de luz.
NOTA: El detector tiene un período de cerca de 1 1/2
minutos de calentamiento antes de detectar
movimiento. Cuando lo prenda por primera
vez, espere 1 1/2minutos.

luz. Si se detecta movimiento, la luz se enciende
con todo el brillo (1, 5, ó 20 minutos), según al ajus-
te de duración, y luego vuelve a la fase reductora.

3. Cambie el fusible encienda el disyuntor.
4. Compruébelo cuando comience la obscuridad.
5. Verifique que el cableado esté correcto.
6. Apunte de nuevo el detector para cubrir las áreas
deseadas. Aumente la sensibilidad.
