Bauteile und Komponenten des Ventilators, die ihre Lebensdauer erreicht haben, z.B. durch Verschleiß, Korrosion, mechanische Belastung, Ermüdung und / oder
durch andere, nicht unmittelbar erkennbare Einwirkungen, sind nach erfolgter Demontage entsprechend den nationalen und internationalen Gesetzen und Vorschriften
fach- und sachgerecht zu entsorgen. Das Gleiche gilt auch für im Einsatz befindliche Hilfsstoffe wie Öle und Fette oder sonstige Stoffe.
Die bewusste oder unbewusste Weiterverwendung verbrauchter Bauteile wie z.B. Laufräder, Wälzlager, Keilriemen, etc. kann zu einer Gefährdung von Personen, der
Umwelt sowie von Maschinen und Anlagen führen. Die entsprechenden, vor Ort geltenden Betreibervorschriften sind zu beachten und anzuwenden.

Zur Sicherstellung einer einwandfreien Funktion und zur eigenen Sicherheit sind alle nachstehenden Vorschriften genau
durchzulesen und zu beachten.
Dieses Dokument ist Teil des Produktes und als solches zugänglich und dauerhaft aufzubewahren. Der Betreiber ist
für die Einhaltung aller anlagenbezogenen Sicherheitsvorschriften verantwortlich.

Sicherheitsschuhe dienen zum Schutz vor schweren herabfallenden Teilen
und verhindern das Ausrutschen auf rutschigem Untergrund.
Haarnetz
Das Haarnetz dient vorwiegend zum Schutz vor der Erfassung von langen
Haaren durch bewegliche Teile.
Für Einsatz und Betrieb gelten besondere Bestimmungen. Bei Zweifel ist
Rückfrage erforderlich. Weitere Informationen sind den einschlägigen Normen
und Gesetzestexten zu entnehmen.
m Bei allen Arbeiten am Gerät sind die allgemein gültigen Arbeitsschutz
und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften einzuhalten!
• Nicht unter der schwebenden Last aufhalten!
•Die Installation darf nur von geeignetem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden!
• Gerät nur mit, für das Gewicht, geeigneten Transportmitteln bewegen. Beim
Transport Sicherheitsschuhe tragen!
• Beim Auspacken des Gerätes Handschuhe/Sicherheitsschuhe tragen.
• Geeignete Tragkraft und Trageigenschaften des Befestigungsuntergrunds
sicherstellen und diesbezüglich geeignete Befestigungsmittel verwenden.
• Alle anlagenbezogenen Sicherheitsvorschriften sind einzuhalten! Gegebenen-
falls müssen weitere länderspezifische Vorschriften eingehalten werden!
•Der Ausblasbereich muss frei von Gegenständen und Stoffen sein, die weg-
geschleudert werden können.
•Eine gleichmäßige Zuströmung und ein freier Ausblas sind zu gewährleisten!

1.4 Einsatzbereiche
Bestimmungsgemäßer Einsatz:
Der Haubenschalldämpfer ist zur Installation auf einen Dachventilator, zur durckseitigen Geräuschdämpfung, konzipiert.
Der durchschnittliche Dämpfungswert beträgt 8 dB. Der Haubenschalldämpfer kann ohne bauliche Veränderung auch
nachträglich angebracht werden. Die zulässige Fördermitteltemperatur beträgt -20 °C bis 80 °C.
Der Haubenschalldämpfer ist ausschließlich für Dachventilatoren der Baureihe VD (Baugrößen ∅315-630 mm) der
Typen AC und EC von Helios Ventilatoren geeignet.
1.5 Personenqualifikation
Die Installation darf nur von Fachkräften (z.B. Industriemechaniker, Mechatroniker, Schlosser oder vergleichbar) durch-
geführt werden.
2.1 Garantieansprüche – Haftungsausschluss
Alle Ausführungen dieser Dokumentation müssen beachtet werden, sonst entfällt die Gewährleistung. Gleiches gilt für
Haftungsansprüche an Helios Ventilatoren. Der Gebrauch von Zubehörteilen die nicht von Helios empfohlen oder ange-
boten werden, ist nicht statthaft. Eventuell auftretende Schäden unterliegen nicht der Gewährleistung. Veränderungen
und Umbauten am Gerät sind nicht zulässig und führen zum Verlust der Konformität, jegliche Gewährleistung und
Haftung ist in diesem Fall ausgeschlossen.
2.2 Transport
Der Haubenschalldämpfer ist werkseitig so verpackt, dass er gegen normale Transportbelastungen geschützt ist.
Der Transport ist sorgfältig durchzuführen. Es wird empfohlen das Gerät in der Originalverpackung zu belassen. Zum
Transport oder zur Montage muss das Gerät am Gehäuse aufgenommen werden.
2.3 Sendungsannahme
Die Sendung ist sofort bei Anlieferung auf Beschädigungen und Typenrichtigkeit zu prüfen. Falls Schäden vorliegen,
umgehend Schadensmeldung unter Hinzuziehung des Transportunternehmens veranlassen. Bei nicht fristgerechter
Reklamation gehen evtl. Ansprüche verloren.
2.4 Einlagerung
Bei Einlagerung über einen längeren Zeitraum sind zur Verhinderung schädlicher Einwirkungen folgende Maßnahmen zu
treffen: Der Lagerort muss wassergeschützt und frei von Temperaturschwankungen sein. Lagertemperatur -20 °C bis
+40 °C, diese Grenzwerte dürfen nicht überschritten werden. Bei Weiterversand (vor allem über längere Distanzen, z.B.
Seeweg) ist zu prüfen, ob die Verpackung für Transportart und -weg geeignet ist. Schäden, deren Ursache in unsach-
gemäßem Transport, Einlagerung oder Installation liegen, sind nachweisbar und unterliegen nicht der Gewährleistung.
2.5 Geräuschangabe
Der durchschnittliche Dämpfungswert beträgt 8 dB. Der Schalldruckpegel kann im Einbaufall erheblich von der
Katalogangabe abweichen, da er stark von den Einbaugegebenheiten, d.h. vom Absorptionsvermögen der Umgebung
u.a. Faktoren abhängig ist.

Dachventilator vorbereiten
Die Sicherheits- und Warnhinweise der Montage- und Betriebsvorschrift des Dachventilators müssen unbedingt
beachtet werden!
Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag.
Ein elektrischer Schlag kann zu Tod oder schweren Verletzungen führen.
 Vor Arbeiten am Gerät, das Gerät vom Netz trennen!
1. Bei Dachventilatoren der Baugröße Ø 450-630 mm:
Kranösen lösen und entfernen.
2. Schutzgitter durch lösen der Blechschrauben entfernen (Blechschrauben zur Befestigung des Schutzgitters 
aufbewahren).
3. Bei Dachventilatoren der Baugröße Ø 450-630 mm:
Abstandshalter für Kranösen lösen und entfernen.
Die Befestigungsschrauben für die Abstandshalter dürfen nicht in den Ventilator fallen!
Verletzungsgefahr durch herausschleudernde Schraube.
Eine herausgeschleuderte Schraube kann zu schweren Verletzungen führen.
 Alle Schrauben, die in das Gerät fallen, herausholen!
 Sicherstellen, dass keine losen Schrauben im Gerät liegen!

Montage Haubenschalldämpfer
1. Montagewinkel montieren
1.1 Bei Dachventilatoren der Baugröße Ø 315-500 mm:
Schraube, welche zur Fixierung des Montagewinkels verwendet wird, lösen.
Nur die Schraube mit der Aussparung am Montagewinkel lösen!
1.2 Montagewinkel in der Ecke positionieren.
1.3 Schraube handfest anziehen. Ggf. müssen die Montagewinkel nachjustiert werden.
1.4 Schraube fest anziehen.
1.5 Bei Dachventilatoren der Baugröße Ø 560-630 mm:
Beide Schrauben, welche zur Fixierung des Montagewinkels verwendet werden, lösen.
1.6 Montagewinkel in der Ecke positionieren.
1.7 Schrauben fest anziehen.
Schritt 1.1-1.3 bzw. 1.4-1.6 sind für alle 4 Montagewinkel durchzuführen. Festen Sitz aller Schrauben prüfen.
2. Schallinnenkern montieren
2.1 Schallinnenkern auf den Montagewinkeln setzen und ausrichten.
Sachschaden durch Quetschung des Anschlusskabels des Dachventilators.
Bei der Ausrichtung des Schallinnenkerns kann das Motoranschlusskabel des Dachventilators beschädigt werden.
 Motoranschlusskabel nicht zwischen Montagewinkel und Schallinnenkern einklemmen!
2.2 Schallinnenkern und Montagewinkel mit den gewindefurchenden Schrauben verschrauben.
3. Schallaußengehäuse montieren
3.1 Schallaußengehäuse auf den Dachventilator aufsetzen.
3.2 Schutzgitter auf den Haubenschalldämpfer aufsetzen.
3.3 Schutzgitter mit den vorhandenen Blechschrauben am Schallaußengehäuse montieren.

4.1 Instandhaltung und Wartung
Grundsätzlich sind die Haubenschalldämpfer wartungsfrei. Alle dennoch notwendigen Wartungsarbeiten sind von au-
torisiertem Fachpersonal vgl. Kapitel 1.6 durchzuführen!
Zu prüfen sind:
• sichere Befestigung des Haubenschalldämpfers
• Schmutzablagerungen
• Beschädigungen
• Schraubverbindungen
4.2 Stilllegen und Entsorgen
Die allgemein gültigen Arbeitsschutz- und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften sind einzuhalten!
Geeignete Hebewerkzeuge und Befestigungsvorrichtungen zum Demontieren des Haubenschalldämpfers verwenden.
Die einzelnen Komponenten entsprechend den gültigen Vorschriften und Gesetzen entsorgen.

Expiry of service life, disposal
Parts and components of the fan, whose service life has expired, e.g. due to wear and tear, corrosion, mechanical load, fatigue and/or other effects that cannot be
directly discerned, must be disposed of expertly and properly after disassembly in accordance with the national and international laws and regulations. The same also
applies to auxiliary materials in use. Such as oils and greases or other substances.
The intended and unintended further use of worn parts, e.g. impellers, rolling bearings, filters, etc. can result in danger to persons, the environment as well as machines
and systems. The corresponding operator guidelines applicable on-site must be observed and used.

read carefully and observed.
This document should be regarded as part of the product and as such should be kept accessible and durable. The
operator is responsible for observing all plant-related safety regulations.
1.2 Warning instructions
These symbols are safety-relevant prominent warning symbols. All safety
regulations and/or symbols in must be absolutely adhered to, so that any
risks of injury and dangerous situations are avoided!

Protective glasses
Serves to protect against eye injuries.

Protective clothing
Primarily serves to protect against contact with moving parts. Do not wear
rings, chains or other jewellery.

Protective gloves
Protective gloves serve to protect the hands against rubbing, abrasions, cuts,
punctures or more severe injuries, as well as contact with hot surfaces.
mProtective footwear
Protective footwear serves to protect against heavy falling parts and from
slipping on slippery surfaces.
Hair net
The hair net primarily serves to protect long hair against contact with moving
parts.
Special regulations apply for use and operation. Consultation is required in
case of doubt. Further information can be found in the relevant standards and
legal texts.

and accident prevention regulations must be observed!
• Do not stand under suspended loads!
•The installation must only be carried out by suitable specialist personnel!
• Only transport fans using means of transport that are appropriate for the
weight. Wear protective gloves during transport!
• Wear protective gloves/footwear when unpacking the unit.
• Ensure the suitable load capacity and properties of the mounting surface
and use suitable mounting material.
• all plant-related safety regulations must be observed! If applicable, further
country-specific regulations must also be observed!
•The outlet area must be kept free from objects and material that could be
ejected.
•A uniform inflow and free outlet must be ensured!

1.4 Area of application
Normal use:
The roof fan attenuator is designed for installation on a roof fan, for noise attenuation on discharge. The average atte-
nuation value is 8 dB. The roof fan attenuator can also be attached subsequently without structural modification. The
permissible air flow temperature is -20 °C to 80 °C.
The roof fan attenuator is suitable exclusively for roof fans in series VD (sizes ∅315-630 mm) of types AC and EC
from Helios Ventilatoren.
1.5 Personnel qualification
The installation may only be carried out by specialists (e.g. industrial mechanics, mechatronics engineers, metal workers
or persons with comparable training).
2.1 Warranty claims – Exclusion of liability
All versions of this documentation must be observed, otherwise the warranty shall cease to apply. The same applies
to liability claims against Helios Ventilatoren. The use of accessory parts, which are not recommended or offered by
Helios, is not permitted. Any possible damages are not covered by the warranty. Changes and modifications to the
unit are not permitted and lead to a loss of conformity, and any warranty and liability shall be excluded in this case.
2.2 Shipping
The roof fan attenuator is packed ex works in such a way that it is protected against normal transport strain. Carry
out the shipping carefully. It is recommended to leave the unit in the original packaging. The unit must be held by the
casing for shipping or installation.
2.3 Receipt
The shipment must be checked for damage and correctness immediately upon delivery. If there is any damage,
promptly report the damage with the assistance of the transport company. If complaints are not made within the agreed
period, any claims could be lost.
2.4 Storage
In case of storage over longer periods, the following measures must be taken in order to avoid damaging influences:
The storage location must be water-protected and free of temperature fluctuations. Storage temperature -20 °C to +40
°C, these limits must not be exceeded. In case of reshipment (above all, over longer distances; e.g. by sea), it must be
checked whether the packaging is suitable for the form and route of transport. Damages due to improper transportation,
storage or putting into operation are not liable for warranty.
2.5 Noise data
The average attenuation value is 8 dB. With regard to installation, the sound pressure level can differ significantly from
the catalogue data, as it is highly dependent on the installation conditions, i.e. on the absorption capability of the room,
the room size among other factors.

3.3 Installation
Prepare roof fan
The safety and warning instructions in the Installation and Operating Instructions for the roof fan must be observed
in any case!
Risk of electric shock.
An electric shock can result in death or severe injuries.
 Before work on the unit, disconnect the unit from the mains power supply!
1. In case of roof fan sizes Ø 450-630 mm:
Loosen and remove lifting brackets.
2. Remove protection grille by loosening the sheet-metal screws (keep sheet-metal screws for fastening the
protection grille ).
3. In case of roof fan sizes Ø 450-630 mm:
Loosen and remove spacer for lifting brackets.
The fastening screws for the spacer must not fall into the fan!
Risk of injury due to ejected screws.
An ejected screw can result in severe injuries.
 Retrieve all screws that fall into the unit!
 Ensure that there are no loose screws in the unit!

Install roof fan attenuator
1. Install mounting bracket 
1.1 In case of roof fan sizes Ø 315-500 mm:
Loosen the screw used to fasten the mounting bracket.
Only loosen the screw with the recess on the mounting bracket!
1.2 Position the mounting bracket in the corner.
1.3 Hand-tighten the screw. If necessary, the mounting brackets must be readjusted.
1.4 Tighten the screw.
1.5 In case of roof fan sizes Ø 560-630 mm:
Loosen both screws used to fasten the mounting bracket.
1.6 Position the mounting bracket in the corner.
1.7 Tighten the screws.
Steps 1.1-1.3 and 1.4-1.6 must be carried out for all 4 mounting brackets. Check all screws for tight fit.
2. Install internal noise attenuation core 
2.1 Place and align internal noise attenuation core on the mounting brackets.
Material damage due to the squashing of the roof fan connection cable.
When aligning the internal noise attenuation core, the roof fan motor connection cable can be damaged.
 Do not clamp the motor connection cable between the mounting bracket and internal noise attenuation core!
2.2 Fasten the internal noise attenuation core and mounting bracket with the self-tapping screws .
3. Install external noise attenuation casing 
3.1 Place the external noise attenuation casing on the roof fan.
3.2 Place the protection grille on the roof fan attenuator.
3.3 Mount the protection grille on the external noise attenuation casing with the provided sheet-steel screws .

3.4 Fasten the external noise attenuation casing to the roof fan with the self-drilling screws .
3.5 Check all screws for tight fit!
4.1 Maintenance and servicing
The roof fan attenuators are generally maintenance-free. However, any necessary maintenance work must be carried
out by authorised qualified personnel cf. chapter 1.6!
The following must be checked:
• secure attachment of roof fan attenuator
• deposits of dirt
• damage
• screw connections
4.2 Standstill and disposal

Les pièces, composants et matériel démonté arrivés en fin de vie (usure, corrosion, dégradation, etc.), sans conséquences nuisibles immédiates, sont à recycler selon
les normes et règlementations nationales et internationales. Idem pour les produits consommables (huile, graisse, etc.).
La réutilisation consciente ou inconsciente de matériel usé (hélices, turbines, courroies, etc.) peut représenter un danger pour les personnes et pour l’environnement,
tout comme pour les machines et les installations. Il est important de connaître et respecter les normes locales.

1.1 Informations importantes
Il est important de bien lire et suivre l’ensemble des consignes suivantes pour le bon fonctionnement de l’appareil et
pour la sécurité des utilisateurs.
Conserver soigneusement le document comme référence à proximité de l’appareil, afin d’assurer une bonne utilisation
de l’unité. Toutes les règles de sécurité doivent être respectées.
1.2 Mise en garde
Les symboles ci-contre indiquent une consigne de sécurité. Toutes les
consignes de sécurité ainsi que les symboles doivent être impérativement
respectés, afin d’éviter tout danger !

Empêchent toute blessure oculaire.

Habits de travail
Protègent du happement des pièces mobiles de la machine. Ne porter aucun
anneau, aucune chaine ou autre bijou.

Gants de protection
Protègent les mains de tout frottement, toute écorchure, piqûre ou autre
blessure plus profonde. Protègent aussi de tout contact avec des surfaces
brûlantes.
mChaussures de sécurité
Protègent des chutes d’objets lourds et empêchent de tomber sur les sur-
faces glissantes.
Filet à cheveux
Évite que les cheveux longs ne se coincent dans les parties mouvantes.
Pour le fonctionnement, le raccordement et l’utilisation, contacter Helios en
cas de doute. Des informations supplémentaires sont consultables dans les
normes et textes de loi.
m Lors de la manipulation du ventilateur, veiller à bien respecter les règles
de sécurité afin de prévenir de tout accident !
• Ne pas rester sous une charge suspendue !
•L’installation ne doit être effectuée que par du personnel qualifié !
• Déplacer le ventilateur avec un moyen de transport adéquat. Porter des
chaussures de sécurité lors du transport !
•
Porter des gants et des chaussures de protection lors du déballage de l’unité.
• Vérifier les capacités de charge des fixations et utiliser les moyens de trans-
port appropriés.
• Toutes les consignes de sécurité pour l’installation sont à respecter ! Les
réglementations spécifiques nationales sont à respecter !
•La zone de soufflage doit être dégagée de tout objet ou matériel susceptible
d’être éjecté.
• Il convient d’assurer une amenée d’air homogène et un rejet libre au ventilateur !

1.4 Domaines d’utilisation
Utilisation conforme :
Les silencieux sont conçus pour une installation sur tourelles pour l’atténuation du niveau sonore au réfoulement. La
valeur sonore moyenne est 8 dB. Le silencieux peut être installé sans modification de l’installation initiale. La plage de
température de flux se situe sur la plage de -20 °C à 80 °C.
Le silencieux est conçu uniquement pour les tourelles de la série VD (séries ∅315-630 mm) des types AC et EC de
Helios Ventilateurs.
1.5 Qualification du personnel
L’installation ne peut être effectuée que par du personnel qualifié (mécaniciens industriels, mécaniciens, serrurier ou
comparable, par ex.).
2.1 Demande de garantie – Réserves du constructeur
Si toutes les consignes indiquées dans cette notice ne sont pas correctement respectées, la garantie s’annule. Les
changements et transformations de l’appareil sont interdites et entraînent une perte de conformité : la garantie et la
responsabilité du fabricant s’annulent.
2.2 Transport
Le silencieux est emballé en usine et est protégé contre les dégâts de transport courants. Transporter l’appareil avec
soin. Il est préférable de laisser l’appareil dans son emballage d’origine jusqu’au montage sur site pour éviter chocs et
poussières. Le ventilateur doit rester dans son emballage avant tout transport ou montage.
2.3 Réception de la marchandise
Dès réception, vérifier l’état et la conformité du matériel commandé. En cas d’avaries, des réserves doivent être por-
tées sur le bordereau du transporteur. Elles doivent être précises, significatives, complètes et confirmées par lettre
recommandée au transporteur. Attention, le non-respect de ces procédures peut entraîner le rejet de la réclamation.
2.4 Stockage
Pour un stockage de longue durée et pour éviter toute détérioration préjudiciable, se conformer à ces instructions : stoc-
ker le matériel dans un endroit abrité de l’eau et exempt de variation de température. La température de stockage doit se
situer entre -20 et +40 °C max. En cas de réexpédition (longues distances, voies maritimes, etc.), vérifier que l’emballage
est bien approprié aux conditions de transport. Les dommages dus à de mauvaises conditions de transport ou de stoc-
kage, à une utilisation anormale sont sujets à vérification et contrôle et entraînent la suppression de la garantie Helios.
2.5 Données acoustiques
La valeur acoustique moyenne du silencieux est 8 dB. Le niveau sonore peut varier par rapport aux spectres sonores
indiqués dans le catalogue étant donné qu’il dépend, entre autre, du pouvoir d’absorption du local et de la situation
d’installation.

3.3 Montage
Préparer la tourelle
Les consignes de sécurité et de mises en garde de la notice d’utilisation et de montage de la tourelle doivent être
impérativement respectée !
Risque d’électrocution.
Une électrisation peut créer de graves blessures pouvant entraîner la mort.
 Avant tous travaux sur l’unité, mettre l’unité hors tension !
1. Pour les tourelles de diamètre Ø 450-630 mm:
Dévisser et retirer les oreilles de levage.
2. Ôter la grille de protection en retirant les vis à tôle (garder les vis à tôle pour la fixation de la grille de protec-
tion ).
3. Pour les tourelles de diamètre Ø 450-630 mm:
Dévisser et retirer les écarteurs pour oreilles de levage.
Les vis de fixation pour les écarteurs ne doivent pas tomber dans le ventilateur !
Risque de blessure par projection de vis.
Une vis projetée peut mener à de lourdes blessures.
 Retirer toutes les vis qui tombent dans l’unité !
 Vérifier qu’il n’y ai aucune vis desserrée dans l’unité !

Montage du silencieux
1. Monter les équerres de fixation 
1.1 Pour les tourelles de diamètre Ø 315-500 mm :
Déserrer les vis qui serviront au montage des équerres de fixation.
Dévisser seulement la vis de fixation de l’équerre entourée en figure 3 !
1.2 Positionner les équerres de montage dans le coin.
1.3 Serrer les vis manuellement. Si nécessaire, réajuster les équerres.
1.4 Serrer fermement.
1.5 Pour les tourelles de diamètre Ø 560-630 mm:
Dévisser les deux vis de fixation des équerres de montage entourées en figure 4.
1.6 Positionner les équerres de fixation dans le coin.
1.7 Serrer fermement.
Étapes 1.1-1.3 et 1.4-1.6 sont à suivre pour les 4 équerres de fixation. Vérifier la bonne fixation de toutes les
vis.
2. Monter le caisson d’atténuation interne 
2.1 Placer et aligner le caisson d’atténuation sur les équerres.
Attention à ne pas endommager le cable d’alimentation de la tourelle : ne surtout pas le coincer entre le
caisson et les équerres de fixation.
2.2 Visser le caisson d’atténuation et les équerres avec les vis autotaraudeuses .
3. Monter l’enveloppe d’atténuation externe 
3.1 Placer l’enveloppe d’atténuation externe sur la tourelle.
3.2 Placer la grille de protection sur le silencieux .
3.3 Monter la grille de protection avec les vis à tôle fournies sur l’enveloppe d'atténuation externe .

3.4 Fixer l’enveloppe d’atténuation externe avec les vis de perçage sur la tourelle .
3.5 Vérifier la bonne fixation de toutes les vis !
4.1 Entretien et maintenance
En principe, les silencieux ne nécessitent pas de maintenance. En cas de travaux de maintenance nécessaires, les
consignes du chapitre 1.6 sont à respecter par un personnel certifié !
À vérifier :
• la bonne fixation du silencieux
• le dépôt de saletés
• les dégâts
• les connexions des vis
4.2 Recyclage
Veiller à respecter les règles de sécurité !
Utiliser des appareils de levages et des dispositifs de fixation adéquats lors du démontage du silencieux.
Les normes et les réglementations des composants sont à respecter.
