1. BEFORE INSTALLING
Figure 3
1. Ensure that the pool meets the requirements of the current local electrical system codes
and ordinances. Alicensed or certified electrician must install the electrical system to meet or
exceed those requirements before this underwater light is installed.
2. The lighting circuit must have aGround Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) ,or have an
appropriately rated current circuit breaker.
3. All metal items within 200mm of the pool must be properly electrically bonded to areliable
point of grounding.
4. The junction box or the 12 volt or 24 volt low voltage transformer, should be located at least
300mm above the water level, at least 200mm above the ground level or pool deck level, and
at least 1200mm from the edge of the pool.
5. The distance between the light and the transformer must not exceed 30m (See Figure 2),
the cables connecting must be at least 6mm2, otherwise the light would not function properly.
6. This underwater light must be installed in or on aflat wall of the pool, with the top of the lens
opening not less than 450mm below the normal water level of the pool.
7. To achieve synchronization, make sure a master switch is installed. (See Figure 3).

1. Prepare enough room for the niche to be fixed into the wall of the swimming pool.
2. There are two conduits on the back of the niche. Choose one conduit which is the most
convenient to your wiring design ans seal the other one with the waterproof plug provided.
(See Figure 4 and Figure 6).
3. Feed the cord through conduit to junction box or safety transformer.
4. Concreting the pool as shown in Figure 4.
5. The light niche must be installed within the pool wall, make sure the niche does not exceed
the wall surface. (See Figure 5).

2.2 INSTALLTING THE LIGHT FIXTURE
2.3 REPLACING THE BULB
Figure 8 Figure 9
Figure 10
WARNING: Use only the special pilot screw provided with this underwater light. This screw
mounts and electrically grounds the mounting parts of the light. Or choose qualified 304# or
better stainless steel pilot screw. Failure to do so may cause serious corrosion of the pilot
screw and the light.
WARNING: Always disconnect the power to the pool light at the circuit breaker when installing
the light. The light must be fully submerged in water before any check for proper operation
after installing.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the new bulb is suitable for this underwater light. It is best that the
new bulb is with the same specifications as the old bulb.
1. Unscrew the pilot screw and pull top of the face ring, remove the light assembly from niche
and gently place assembly on the deck. It is not necessary to drain down the pool.
2. Unscrew the nuts on the back of the light assembly to allow the bottom clamp to be
removed from the light fixture. (See Figure 10 and Figure 11).
3. Install the new bulb.
①REPLACING A PAR56 BULB
1. The screw holes on the light fixture should be lined up with 12 o’clock position. (See Figure
8).
2. Aim at the screw hole and tighten the fixture to the niche with the screws provided. (See
Figure 9).

of the color cycle (mode 1).
NOTE: To synchronize several lights to the same color mode, you will need to reset to the
beginning of the color mode sequence. With the lights ON, turn them OFF for more than 5
seconds, then turn ON again. All lights will reset to the Blue (mode 1). If all of the lights are not
in the Blue (mode 1), they have not been synchronized, repeat the steps above.
IMPORTANT: This section only applies to the RGB or RGBW lights. Pool users and operators
can choose to (or not to) install one (or more) controller to build afine control system for the
lights.
NOTE: The specifications of the controller, especially the input voltage, must be well known by
pool users and installers before installation. Failure to do so may cause the injury to person
and damage to both the light and controller.
Turn the light ON, the 16 pre-programmed color modes will begin to run automatically and
cyclically from mode 1 to mode 16, until the light power is off.
