INSTRUMENTATION
GAUGES
Temperature gauge
The temperature gauge indicates the
engine coolant temperature when the
ignition is on. Stop-start driving in heavy
trafc, driving at high speed in warm
weather, hill climbing or towing may
cause the needle to move toward the H.
This is normal and no cause for concern.
However, if the needle moves all the way
to Hand remains there for more than
30 seconds, stop the vehicle as soon
as it is safe to do so. Refer to Engine
overheating in chapter 6.
H= hot, C= cold.
Tachometer
The tachometer shows engine speed
in thousands of revolutions per minute
(RPM).
Speedometer
The speedometer shows vehicle speed in kilometres per hour (km/h).
Fuel gauge
The fuel gauge shows the level of fuel in the fuel tank when the ignition is on/off:
E= empty, F= full.
Note Additions of fuel less than 15 litres can take up to 10 minutes to register on the
fuel gauge. Larger amounts show almost immediately. This prevents fuel movement
from registering on the gauge when cornering.
Sport gauges3
The gauges are located in the centre of
the dashboard above the air vents. The
gauges show the battery voltage, engine
oil temperature and engine oil pressure.

INFORMATION DISPLAYS
The instrument panel information displays
provide visual information to the driver for
a number of vehicle functions such as trip
computer,audio,warningsandreminders.
Depending on luxury level, the vehicle is
tted with a single-window display or a
triple-window display.
Centre display.
Trip computer display3..
Display – Ignition on
When the ignition is switched on, a vehicle
system check is performed and the status is
shown on the display. If there are no warnings
or service reminders, the display shows a series
of welcome screens.
If the system check detects a problem, it
displays the appropriate warning immediately. If
a warning is displayed, press the TRIP button to
acknowledge it (once for each warning). It then
reverts to the original trip computer display.
Note
• Pressing the TRIP button any time during the system check causes the display to
jump ahead to the last trip computer screen displayed before the ignition was last
switched off. The system check continues to run in the background.
• To display the odometer screen, if not already displayed, press the TRIP button
until the screen appears.
• The transmission selector position indication is only displayed if the vehicle is tted
with automatic transmission3. Refer to Automatic transmission in chapter 4.
Display – Ignition off
Whentheignitionisswitchedoff,theodometerappearsonthedisplayforapproximately
30 seconds unless a service reminder is active.Active service reminders are displayed
for 10 seconds before the odometer appears. The odometer will re-appear when the
driver’s door is opened.

WARNING/REMINDER INDICATIONS
WARNING LAMPS
AND REMINDERS
The following warning lamps and
reminder indications may appear on
the instrument panel (depending on the
luxury level of the vehicle).
They appear as illuminated icons,
animated symbols or a combination of
both.
Most warning/reminder indications are
accompanied by a chime.
Warning lamp locations.
Alternator warning lamp p
The alternator warning lamp p illuminates for a short time when
the ignition is switched on to check that the lamp is working.
If the p warning lamp and the Alternator animation illuminate
when driving, it indicates that the alternator is not charging properly.
Contact your Holden Dealer.
The Alternator animation is displayed until the TRIP button or the
ENTER switch are pressed.
The p warning lamp remains illuminated until the problem has
been rectied.
Low oil pressure/level
If the Check Oil animation illuminates when
driving, it indicates that the oil pressure or the oil
level is low.
WARNING
Engine damage may result if you continue driving.
Stop when safe, switch off the engine and check
the engine oil level. Refer to Engine oil level in
chapter 7.
Do not run the engine when this warning is illuminated. If the oil level is normal, have
the system checked at the nearest Holden Dealer.
The Check Oil animation is displayed until the TRIP button or the ENTER switch are
pressed. The animated symbol then reverts to the original trip computer display.
ICheck Oil appears at the bottom of the display and remains illuminated until the
problem has been rectied.

ABS fault
TheAnti-lock Brake System (ABS) warning lamp u illuminates for a
short time when the ignition is switched on to verify that no monitored
ABS defects are present and to check that the lamp is working.
If the uwarning lamp and the ABS Fault animation does not
extinguish or illuminates when driving, it indicates a malfunction with
the ABS. Contact your Holden Dealer as soon as possible.
NoteThevehicle’sbrake systemwill stilloperateconventionallywiththe
anti-lock operation disabled. Refer to Anti-lock brake system chapter 4.
The ABS Fault animation is displayed until the TRIP button or the
ENTER switch are pressed.
The u warning lamp remains illuminated until the problem has been rectied.
Brake fail and park brake warning
The brake fail/park brake warning lamp R illuminates for a short
time when the ignition is switched on to verify that no monitored
brake defects are present and to check that the lamp is working.
If the Rwarning lamp and the Brake animation
does not extinguish or illuminates when
driving and the park brake is released, it
indicates a fault with the brakes. Carefully stop
the vehicle on the side of the road immediately.
Do not proceed until satised that braking is
possible or that the cause of the problem has
been rectied.
Note The Brake animation also indicates low
brake uid. Check the brake uid level. Refer to
Under bonnet checks in chapter 7.
The Brake animation is displayed until the TRIP button or the ENTER switch are pressed.
The R warning lamp remains illuminated until the problem has been rectied.
If the Park brake animation (see above) illuminates and a chime sounds when driving,
it indicates that the park brake is still applied. Release the park brake.
Park aid assist fault3
If the Parking Aid Assist Fault animation
illuminates when driving, it indicates a fault in the
Park Assist system. Contact your Holden Dealer.
The Parking Aid Assist Fault animation is
displayed until the TRIP button or the ENTER
switch are pressed. It then reverts to the original
trip computer display.
Park Fail appears at the bottom of the display
and remains illuminated until the problem has
been rectied.
Note If the Parking Aid Assist Fault animation illuminates when driving, it indicates
a fault in the Park Assist system. The Park Assist may not work properly during
malfunction and you should manoeuvre the vehicle with special care. Check the
sensors and clean them if necessary. If the malfunction persists, have the system
checked by your Holden Dealer.

Engine coolant temperature
If the Engine Temp Hot animation illuminates
when driving, it indicates that the engine coolant
temperature is excessively hot. Stop the vehicle
as soon as it is safe to do so.
The Engine Temp Hot animation is displayed
until the TRIP button or the ENTER switch
are pressed. It then reverts to the original trip
computer display.
WTemp Hot appears at the bottom of the display and remains illuminated until the
problem has been rectied.
Refer to Engine overheating in chapter 6.
Engine oil temperature
If the Engine Oil Hot animation illuminates
when driving, it indicates that the engine oil has
reached its maximum operating temperature.
Perform the following:
• Reduce engine RPM and vehicle load.
• If the warning remains illuminated stop the
vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so and
allow it to cool until the warning disappears.
The Engine Oil Hot animation is displayed until the TRIP button or the ENTER switch
are pressed. It then reverts to the original trip computer display.
WEng Oil Hot appears at the bottom of the display and remains illuminated until the
problem has been rectied.
Note
• If the Engine Oil Hot animation illuminates when engine RPM and vehicle load are
low contact your Holden Dealer as soon as possible.
• Continued operation with Engine Oil Hot illuminated may cause damage to your
vehicle’s engine, which is not covered under your New Vehicle Warranty.
Airbag and seatbelt pretensioners
The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) warning lamp v
illuminates for a short time when the ignition is switched on to check
that the lamp is working.
If the SRS warning lamp vand the Airbag Fault animation
illuminatewhen driving,itindicatesthattheairbagsystemorseatbelt
pretensioner system may not function correctly in an accident.
Contact your Holden Dealer immediately.
Note The SRS warning lamp villuminates after an accident if the
airbag(s) and/or pretensioners have activated.
The Airbag Fault animation is displayed until the TRIP button or the ENTER switch
are pressed. It then reverts to the original trip computer display.
The SRS warning lamp v remains illuminated until the problem has been rectied.
Refer to Supplemental Restraint System in chapter 3.

Stability control assistance
If the Stability Ctrl Assistance animation
illuminates when driving, it indicates that the
Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) is actively
helping the vehicle with road grip and stability.
ESP®CTRL appears at the bottom of the display
and remains illuminated as long as the Electronic
Stability Program (ESP®) is actively helping the
vehicle with road grip and stability.
Refer to Electronic stability program in chapter 4.
Stability control off
If the Stability Ctrl Off animation illuminates
when driving and you have not switched the
ESP®off by pressing the switch, it indicates
that the ESP®system is no longer functioning.
Contact your Holden Dealer.
The Stability Ctrl Off animation is displayed
until the TRIP button or the ENTER switch
are pressed. It then reverts to the original trip
computer display.
ESP®OFF appears at the bottom of the display and remains illuminated until the
problem has been rectied.
Note If you press the button to switch the ESP®off or on, the Stability Ctrl Off or
Stability Ctrl On animation also illuminates for 2 seconds.
Refer to Electronic stability program in chapter 4.
Stability control fault
If the Stability Ctrl Fault animation illuminates
when driving and you have not switched the
ESP®off by pressing the switch, it indicates
that the ESP®system has a fault. Contact your
Holden Dealer.
The Stability Ctrl Fault animation is displayed
until the TRIP button or the ENTER switch
are pressed. It then reverts to the original trip
computer display.
ESP®OFF appears at the bottom of the display and remains illuminated until the
problem has been rectied.
Note If you press the button to switch the ESP®off or on, the Stability Ctrl Fault
animation also illuminates for 2 seconds.

Engine immobilised refer to
owners manual
If the Engine Immobilised Refer to Owners
Manual animation illuminates, refer to Security
in chapter 2.
The Engine Immobilised Refer to Owners
Manual animation is displayed until the TRIP
button or the ENTER switch are pressed. The
animated symbol then reverts to the original trip
computer display.
Eng Immo appears at the bottom of the
display and remains illuminated until the problem
has been rectied.
Sport shift3
The Sport Shift animation illuminates when the
automatic transmission3is operating in sport
shift mode.
Refer to Automatic transmission in chapter 4.
Overspeed
The OverSpeed animation illuminates and
a chime sounds to warn the driver when the
vehicle‘s speed exceeds a preselected value.
The OverSpeed animation illuminates until:
• it returns automatically after 10 seconds, or
• the vehicle’s speed drops below the
preselected value, or
• the ENTER switch is pressed.
It then returns to the original trip computer display while OverSpeed at the bottom of
the display illuminates as long as the vehicle’s speed exceeds the preset value.
Refer to Trip Computer further on in this chapter.
