1. Terms and Conditions
1.1 Intended use
Metal tube flowmeter in mind, also known as variable area flowmeter (hereinafter referred
to as meter).The variable area flowmeter are suitable for measuring gases, vapours and
liquids.Meter can be used to measure the continuous cleaning of gases and liquids, especially
for flow measurement and control of low flow, low flow rate, harsh media conditions. Not
used to measure solid particles and highly viscous media. If the media conditions are quite
poor, when ordering the instrument, please contact me to confirm the instrument meets its
requirements. The devices are particularly suitable for the measurement of:Water、
Hydrocarbons、Corrosion protection agents and lubricants、Chemicals and additives、Solvents、
Superheated steam、Air、Industrial gases and so on.
Meter is limited to medium conditions specified under meter data (temperature, pressure,
media and the environment etc.).

2. Product description
2.1 Description
HT5series metal tube is based on a variable area flow meter float position measurement.
All-metal structure, modular design, because of its small size, small pressure loss, range
ratio (10: 1), easy installation and maintenance, etc., it is widely used in various
industries complex, harsh environment, low flow, low flow rates, a variety of harsh
conditions of media flow measurement and process control.
HT5series metal tube using the international advanced non-contact magnetic sensor,
and with a single-chip microprocessor system, enabling the liquid crystal display,
cumulative, remote output (4 ~ 20mA), upper and lower alarm output function the instrument
has high accuracy and reliability, and can replace imported the same type of Meter, and
has a cost-effective, multi-parameter calibration, power-down protection and so on.

occasions, for a variety of measurements in the form of user-selectable; divided by output
in the form of local indication type, output type remote control alarm type; according to
the requirements of explosion-proof classification, can be divided into ordinary type,
intrinsically safe, explosion-proof isolation-type three; site process flow according to

user requirements, vertical mount (HT50), progress under-mount (HT51), side into the side
mount (HT52), end into the side-mounted (HT53), threaded connection type (HT54),
horizontal-mounted installation (HT56R / L) and other options.
2.2 Structure principle
HT5series metal tube composed of two parts:
Measuring tube - magnetic couplings, sensors;
Indicators - signal conversion, conditioning, or a
digital display indicating the scale;
Wetted material of the measuring tube there are four:
stainless steel, Hastelloy, titanium, stainless steel
lining PTFE; the user may require different process
pressure corrosive media and select different wetted material to meet process pressure
corrosion and media needs. Depending on the measurement requirements, users in the selection,
you can select a different combination of indicators, to achieve different measurement
requirements. Specific type indicator corresponding function indicator see chapter.
Measuring principle
Relative to a medium flows
through the sensor fixing
condition, when the flow
rate reaches a certain
flow design flow range,
the float rises to a position of the cone relative to a stationary, then flow area changes,
the float suffered three a force equilibrium (gravity + = thrust buoyancy), this position
by the close magnetic coupling transmission shaft driven pointer and components, completion
pointer flow indication, through the modular design of the converter is converted to the
flow rate corresponding to 4 ~ 20mA / Hart output. Change the position of the float, that
reflects the changing media traffic.

configuration; and having cleared the cumulative flow, zero
correction;
Protection function: to set upper and lower limit guard values; below the lower limit
or above the upper limit output 3.8mA or 22mA.
Monitoring functions: on-line monitoring of instantaneous value, the percentage of the
output current, the accumulated value of the like;

Calibration function: analog output current calibration;

Power-down protection: In case of power failure without loss of data;

The main function:
With sensor fit, install one or two limit switches with an external
transistor amplifier with the realization of 1:00 or 2:00 alarm. Pointer can be achieved.

2.9 Indicators Structure and disassembly

Indicator Construction: housing cover, instrument panel, conversion module, plug
the module frame rails, pointers, Axis system assembly, chassis and other components.
Loosen housing cover locking screws, unscrew the housing cover (when installed
housing cover must be tightened to prevent the corrosive gas and water vapor into the
device casing corrosion).
Instrument panel: mounted in the front of the recess (not with other grooves),
careful attention when removing and installing bending deformation can not dial.

Switch board: installed in the third layer recess and pointers fan-shaped plate
with the completion of the alarm function. Plug and play.
Conversion Module: Installation in the fourth floor recess, after unplug the power
cord with a Phillips screwdriver to remove the converter module on the left column
positioning screw imprisonment, then remove the can.
The shaft assembly: Remove the three fixing screws on the frame rails and remove
the rails frame and axle assembly.
Remove the screw connection indicator With the sensor (measuring tube) between
the sensor and the indicator can be separated.
2.10 Damper device
Objective metal tube Damping device is slow or even overcome instrumented unstable due
process reasons which led pointer swing sharply, output fluctuations larger, not normal
use and other conditions.
The following situations should be installed Damper device:
Low operating pressure
Pressure mounting position is unstable.
Meter pipe diameter before and after the change is too large.
Before and after the straight pipe seriously do not meet the specified requirements.
Measuring medium is a gas.

Will result in these cases in the media flow meter measuring tube is very unstable,
float suffered three forces can not achieve equilibrium caused
by the float up and down, up and down movement of the float
is transmitted by a magnetic coupling system, so do follow the
motion of the pointer Axis system, ultimate expression of
continuous non-stop swing pointer larger output variation
margin. Users can not read the current instantaneous value
scale, transmitter output signal can not be used by the system.
Customers are advised to avoid the above situation, please
select the instrument with additional structural damping
device. Even so, they can not guarantee the stable operation
of the instrument, situations pointer swinging and output volatility does not appear, it
is suggested that users should namely process design, instrumentation installation location,
piping configuration, the voltage boost efforts to fundamentally solve the instrument could
cause unstable situation occurs.
Note: In order to achieve stable operation of the instrument working conditions, in
the selection of design should meet the working pressure stable and not less than 2 times
the pressure loss meter, gaseous medium working pressure should not be less than 5
times the pressure loss of the instrument.
2.11 Mounting accessories - magnetic filter and the straight pipe
Mounting accessories metal tube: the magnetic filter and the straight pipe, a user can
optionally order. The fluid conduit or contain tiny ferromagnetic particles dross purge
is not clean, it should be installed in the instrument magnetic filter to prevent adsorption
of the float when ferromagnetic particles flow through the float, causing float Caton, and
can not return movement not comfortable. Magnetic filter should be cleaned regularly to
prevent smoke filled not achieve filtration.
Location of the installation of the meter shall ensure that there is greater than or
equal inlet straight pipe 5D and export not less than 250mm straight pipe segment, the user
can request the installation location, choose to order straight pipe, to meet the conditions

3 Electrical connections
3.1 Precautions
