2.1.1 General Mounting Information. If this fixture is to
be surface mounted and connected to an outlet box, the luminaire
assembly must be connected to an outlet box marked for use in wet
locations and the mounting gasket provided must be used to create
a watertight seal between the luminaire assembly and the outlet box
or Latex caulk must be used to provide a watertight seal between
the luminaire assembly and the outlet box.
2.2 Horizontal Mount for Square Poles.
2.2.1 Remove the lens, door, and reflector. Remove the reflector
carefully in order to maintain the electrical connections between the
reflector and the housing. See Figure 1.
2.2.2 For the arm version, attach the arm to the pole and housing
to the arm using gaskets and fasteners as shown in Figure 2. For
the non-arm version, see Figure 3.
2.2.3 For supply connections, outside the housing, use wire rated
for at least 90 degree C. For supply connection inside the housing
use wire rated for at least 200 degree C. Connect supply leads to
marked leads on ballast or to the extra length leads provided with

2.5 Ceiling Mounting.
2.5.1 Remove the lens and the door. Remove the reflector
carefully in order to maintain the electrical connections between the
reflector and the housing. See Figure 1.
2.5.2 Remove the two knockouts for 7/16 diameter mounting holes
and mount to ceiling. See Figure 8 for the hole pattern which must
be on the mating surface in order to attach this fixture.
2.5.3 Bring the supply wires through the center 15/16 diameter
hole. For supply connections outside the housing, use wire rated
for at least 90 degrees C. For supply connections inside the
housing, use wire rated for at least 200 degrees C. Connect supply
leads to marked leads on ballast.
2.5.4 To finish follow steps 2.2.4 through 2.2.5.
2.6 Quick Install/Through Wiring Mounting.
2.6.1 Set the fixture on the hooks of the ceiling cover (shipped
separate). Make up the supply wiring connections to the lighting
fixture. Hinge the fixture up and drive in captive screw provided.
The assembly is now locked together. See Figure 9.
2.6.2 Remove the lens to insert correct lamp type into socket.
2.6.3 Attach the lens to the housing using four captive screws.
For asymmetric distribution, orient the word "Front" toward the area
to be lighted. Tighten the captive screws only until the lens
compresses the captive gasket. Do not overtighten screws.
2.7 Pendant Mounting.
2.7.1 Remove the lens and the door. Remove the reflector
carefully in order to maintain the electrical connections between the
reflector and the housing. See Figure 1.
2.7.2 Mount the housing by threading rigid conduit into 3/4-14 NPT
tapped hole in top of the housing. Lock with locknut provided. Seal
threads with water tight sealant.
2.7.3 To finish follow steps 2.2.3 through 2.2.5.
2.8 Flexible Pendant Mounting.
2.8.1 Remove the top plate from the fixture. Thread plate onto 3/
4-14 NPT hook or loop and lock with set screw provided. Orient
plate to desired position of the fixture. Seal threads with water tight
sealant. See Figure 10.
2.8.2 For supply connections, outside the housing, use wire rated
for least 90 degree C. Splice wires inside well on plate on top of
housing. Reattach the top plate to the plate on the housing using
two washers and two 1/4-20 bolts provided. Slide top plate until
the fixture hangs level. Tighten bolts.
2.8.3 Remove the lens and insert proper lamp type into socket.
2.8.4 Attach the lens to the housing using four captive screws.
For asymmetric distribution, orient the word "Front" towards area to

3. MAINTENANCE
3.1 Relamping and Cleaning.
3.1.1 Disconnect electrical power to the fixture. Wipe fixture free
of debris and dirt.
3.1.2 Remove the lens and door from the reflector. Remove the

and lens with a clean dry cloth to remove dust and dirt.
3.1.3 Install the correct new lamp type according to relamp
markings.
3.1.4 Reinstall the door and lens using the four captive screws.
Tighten the captive screws until the lens is compressing the captive
gasket. Do not overtighten screws.
3.2 Electrical Component Replacement.
3.2.1 Disconnect electrical power to the fixture.
3.2.2 Remove the lens and door from the reflector. Remove the
lamp and the reflector carefully.
3.2.3 Tag all wiring to be disconnected to assure proper rewiring.
3.2.4 Remove any electrical components that need to be replaced,
saving the attachment hardware. Note the orientation and position
of the electrical components before removing them to insure proper
positioning of the new component.
3.2.5 Position the new electrical component and attach them with
the original hardware. Be certain all fasteners are fully engaged
and/or tightened.
3.2.6 Rewire the electrical components according to the marked
tags and approved wiring practices. When completed, check all
wiring to insure that all connections are tight and no wires are
pinched.
3.2.7 Reinstall the reflector and lamp using the captive screws.
Make sure the lamp type agrees with relamp markings. Reinstall the
door and the lens using the captive screws. Tighten the captive
screws until the lens is compressing the captive gasket. Do not
overtighten screws.
3.2.8 Reconnect the electrical power and energize the fixture.
Check the fixture for proper operating.
