1. PRE-INSTALLATION CHECKUP
Please check the following items after opening the package: digital satellite receiver, remote
control, battery, A/V cable, RF,power cable cord and user's manual. Please keep the packaging
box, packaging material and plastic bag in a safe place for repackaging in the future.

3. CONNECTIONS
Please refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2 for the following instructions. Connect the LNB cable from
the dish antenna to the LNB IN connector on the back of the digital satellite receiver. Use the
RCA audio/video cables to connect the Audio Left, Audio Right, and Video Outputs to the
corresponding connectors on TV.

To switch between standby and power-on states, or exit from menu or submenu.
To adjust the volume output of the receiver when receiving TV programs, or
change parameters within the menu.
When receiving TV programs, pressing these keys switches to the next higher or
lower numbered program, or to move the scroll bar up or down on the menu.
MENU To bring up the main menu.
OK To enter the next lower level submenu or to confirm the parameter value
entered.
CARD
READER The smart card must be inserted in the slot when viewing scrambled programs.

4.1 Illustration Diagram of Remote Control Usage
Please refer to the following diagram (Figure 4) when using the remote control. The maximum
distance for usage is 10 meters (30 feet) with look angle 60 degrees. Please aim the infrared
transmitter in the front of the remote control to the front panel of the receiver.

5. MENU INSTRUCTIONS
5.1 Main Menu
The contents of main menu are as follow:
TV Guide
It shows the list of TV program.
Radio Guide
It shows the list of radio program.
Parental Control
It is possible to control the access to certain programs by active this mode and change the PIN
Code. Entering the pin code can be used to release the parental block of a service.
Installation
Installation is used to search for new services or to edit existing ones. It can also be used to load
the default setup of the receiver.
System Settings
The System settings provide a convenient way of selecting different power-up channels, adjusting
the time and A/V output mode, and displaying the hardware and software version of this box.
Mail information
To view the e-mail information sent by the operator. An icon is displayed on the corner of the
screen if new email arrives.

5.2 TV Guide
You can select one of the TV programs (event name) by pressing ▲/▼keys and then press OK
key. To access this menu press the MENU key, then select the TV Guide in the Main Menu.
5.3 Radio Guide
You can access one of the radio programs (event name) by pressing ▲/▼keys then press OK
key. To get into this menu, press the MENU key, select the Radio Guide then press OK key.

5.4 Parental Control
In this menu, you can set up the Parental Control mode and change the PIN Code. To enter this
menu, you have to input the PIN Code first. The default PIN code is 000000.
Parental Control
You can press ◄/►keys to switch parental control mode between ON and OFF.
ON Parental control is enabled.
OFF Parental control is disabled.
NOTE: If parental control is enabled, you must enter the PIN code before viewing a locked
service. You can press OK while watching a program then the Favorite and parental lock control
menu is popped up. Use ◄/►keys to active or disable these functions.
New PIN Code
To change the PIN Code, input new PIN code (six digits).

5.5 Installation
This menu provides all the settings for customizing, adding new services, editing existing services,
and reset to default setup.
5.5.1 Service Searching
Before entering the Service Searching Menu or Service Organizing Menu, you have to input the
PIN Code if parental control is enabled.

5.5.1.1 Antenna Setting
You can select the Antenna and LNB settings for service searching, as well as the settings of
22KHz tone and DiSEqC switch. There are 32 possible antenna settings. The values set in this
menu are available for selection in other Service Searching Menus.
Press ▲/▼keys to select between the following items, press ◄/►or 0…9 to change its value:
SAT No.
You can select the satellite number by pressing ◄/►keys. The total number is 32.
SAT Name
It shows the satellite name. You can change the name by pressing FAV+, FAV- keys.
LNB Freq.
Select the L.O. Frequency that is set to antenna. You can select the LNB frequency of 5150,
9750, 10600, 10750, 11250, or 11300 MHz by using the ◄/►key. If the required LNB frequency
is not available then enter the frequency using the 0…9 keys.
22kHz
Set to OFF to select dual-LNB or set to ON to select two antennas connected to a 22kHz tone
switch.
DiSEqC
According to the option and position of DiSEqC switch, you can select from A to D of DiSEqC and
turn it OFF.
Skew
This function is not implemented in this receiver.

5.5.1.2 Manual Searching
After setting the search parameters like frequency, symbol rate etc, you can find the services in
the transponder you selected. There are two bars on the bottom to indicate the signal strength
and quality. The bars in red color show the signal is in good conditions.
You can press ▲/▼keys to select between following items, and ◄/►or 0...9 keys to change its
value:
D/L Freq.
Input transponder frequency.
Symbol Rate
Inputs symbol rate of the transponder.
Polarization
You can select the polarization of the transponder by setting Horizontal or Vertical. In horizontal
case, the 18V and in vertical case, 13V are output through LNB line.
PID Search
In PID search mode (ON), you can search a specified service by input its A/V/PCR PID's. Set it
ON and press OK, you will be able to move to Searching by PID menu.
SAT No.
Select the satellite number that corresponding to the value of the Antenna alternative.
LNB Freq./22KHz/DiSEqC
As you have set all the values in Antenna Setting menu, you do not have to change them in most
cases. After selecting all above values, press OK key to perform service searching or MENU key
to exit.

5.5.1.3 Searching by PID
You can set the PID information to search services. The PID is in decimal value. You can press
▲/▼keys to select between following items, and use ◄/►or 0…9 keys to change the values.
The meanings of these items are explained in Manual Searching menu except:
PCR PID
This is used to set PCR PID of certain service.
V PID
This is used to set Video PID of certain service.
A PID
This is used to set Audio PID of certain service.
After setting these values, press OK key to perform service searching or MENU key to exit.
5.5.2 Service Organizing
This menu gives users the options that organize their TV services, Radio services and Networks.
You can Rename, Delete, Move or Edit an existing service/network.

5.5.2.1 Organizing TV
This menu allows users to Rename, Delete, Move and Edit TV services.
Rename
1. Press ▲/▼key to move to the service.
2. Press OK key, color of the selected program will become red.
3. Press ◄/►key to select the character along the program name.
4. Press▲/▼key to change the alphabet.
5. Press OK key to confirm or MENU key to discard the changes and exit.
Delete
You can delete unwanted services by:
1. Press ▲/▼key to select service you want to delete.
2. Press OK key, a dialog box will appear.

3. Select YES to delete or NO to cancel.
4. Press MENU key to exit.
Move
1. Press ▲/▼key to select service you want to move.
2. Press OK key to confirm. The color of this service will become red.
3. Press the ▲/▼key to move it to a new position.
4. Press the OK key to confirm or MENU key to cancel.
Edit
This menu is used to modify the parameter values in the TV programs, such as Audio Mode,
Aspect Ratio, Favorite setting, Lock setting, PCR PID, VIDEO PID and AUDIO PID.
1. Press ▲/▼key to select service you want to edit.
2. Press OK key, the parameter values will appear.

3. Press ▲/▼key to select parameter you want to modify.
4. Press ◄/►key or 0…9 keys to change the parameter value.
5. Press OK to confirm or MENU key to ignore the modifications and exit.
5.5.2.2 Organizing Radio
Same as Organizing TV.
5.5.2.3 Organizing Network
Same as Organizing TV.
5.5.3 Default Settings
When you select YES, the system setup and channel data will be changed to the default values.
All the service information manually entered by user will be lost! To exit, select NO or press
MENU key.
5.6 System Settings

5.6.1 Time Setting
GMT
Set the local time zone offset of GMT from –12 to +12.
Time Display
This is used to enable or disable time display function on channel banner.
5.6.2 A/V Output Setting
Aspect Ratio
You can select the screen aspect ratio of TV (4:3 or 16:9).
Sound Control
You can select the sound control mode by System or Channel.
Video System
You can select the video output mode to Auto, NTSC or PAL.
