Operating instructions
It is recommended that you boil the kettle several times following the below instruction
and discard the water before rst use. This will remove any material or dust remains in the
appliance, which arise during the manufacturing process.
1. Open the lid by pulling up the knob, and ll the kettle with water. Then close the
lid (the automatic power cut-o function will not work with the lid open).
2. Caution: The water level must be between the “Max” and “Min” level as indicated
inside the kettle. Too little water will do damage to the heat element and too
much water could boil over!
3. Place the kettle on the power base before connecting the power supply.
Place the kettle in a way that the spout of the kettle is facing away from you.
4. Press the switch to “I” position and the power indicator light will switch on.
The water will begin to heat up. DO NOT open the lid or pour while the
water is boiling.
5. Caution: Ensure that the power switch is clear of obstructions and the lid is
rmly closed. The kettle will not turn o if the switch is constrained or if the
lid is left open.
6. Power will be cut o automatically and the power switch will return to
the “0” position once water has boiled. The power indicator light will turn o.
7. Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water.
8. Note: Handle carefully when pouring the water from your kettle, as boiling water
can scald.
9. The boiling process can be terminated at any time by lifting the kettle o
the powerbase or pressing the power switch to the “0” position.
Caution: Never operate the kettle empty. In the event of this happening, the thermal
cut-o inside the kettle would operate and cut o power automatically. Unplug the
appliance and let it completely cool down for half an hour before lling it and trying to
boil water again.
Note: Ensure the power is turned o while the kettle is not in use.
Cleaning & Maintenance
1. Unplug the plug from the power socket. Make sure that the kettle is cool enough
to handle.
2. Do not immerse the kettle, power cord, power plug and power socket into water.
3. Ensure that the electric cord and circuit is dry.
4. Wipe the kettle with a damp cloth.
5. Do not use scouring powder or abrasive products as they will damage the
surface of the kettle.

Removing scale
To maintain the kettle in a good working order, it needs to be de-scaled frequently. Here
are a few methods for doing this:
1. Use a reputable product that removes scale and follow the instruction leaet.
2. Add 0.5L white vinegar to the kettle, let it soak for an hour then drain it from the
kettle. Rinse the kettle out with clean water at least 5x after doing so.
3. Fill the kettle with 0.5L water and add 25 grams of citric acid. Soak for 15 minutes
and then rinse the kettle at least 5 times with clean water.
1The kettle shuts down before
boiling has completed.
• This could be due to too much scale
on the kettle.
• There may be too little water in the
kettle.
• If the kettle was empty and it
dry-combusted then ll the kettle
with water and the kettle should re-
set after 2 minutes.
2The kettle does not work.
• Check your connection.
• Check your electric cord for dam-
age. If damaged you must get a
replacement cord from the dealer.
3There is a peculiar smell in the
kettle.
• This phenomenon usually happens
with a new kettle.
• If the smell persists, ll your kettle to
the max with water, add 2 table-
spoons of bicarbonate and bring
the water to the boil. Rinse well.
4The kettle inside is dirty o r has
scale.
If your local water is hard this can cause
a build up of calcium carbonate and
magnesium carbonate. Follow the steps
under Removing scale to treat and
resolve this.
