Available options for monitoring
Option 1: Monitoring on Smartphone, Tablet and Computer
Plug the RF converter on the USB socket of the computer, smartphone or tablet,
install a DVR Software (HDE recommends OTG software) on the device and watch
in live streaming.
Using the software enables to take pictures and record videos.
Only available with PC Win 7, Win 10, or Android Tablet. Not available with MAC nor
iOS Tablet or Smartphone.
Easy to use: Plug and play system
Setup sequence:
- Connect cable with dedicated plug at the rear of the DentalScope
- Connect the other side of the cable (AV plug) on a screen equipped with AV-
Video plug
- Press the green button on the DentalScope,
- Then watch in live steaming.

3.1 Battery
The battery is delivered with almost 30% of charge. Fully charge the battery before
the rst use by inserting the charger cable into the rear side of the scope, and plug
the charger into the electrical socket.
CHAPTER 3: DELIVERY CONDITIONS - FIRST USE
3.2 Computer setup
First you need to install a monitoring software.
Several free softwares are available on the internet.
HDE recommends AMCAP or OTG View. HDE supplies
AMCAP for free.
Connect the USB converter directly into the computer’s USB
socket.
An auto-instal process starts, it creates an interface “AV TO
USB2.0”
Starts AMCap software, select “Devices” => “AV TO USB2.0”
3.3 Android Tablet or Smartphone setup
First you need to install a monitoring software.
Go to PlayStore, or GooglePlay, and install OTG View – free software
recommended.
Connect the USB-converter to your device (Computer, Tablet or Smart-
phone). Choose the adaptor which ts to your USB connexion (USB-C or
Micro-USB)
There is no further setup required, the USB converter is paired directly by
radiofrequency to the DentalScope.
The DentalScope requires no setup, the converter is already connected to
the right frequency with the DentalScope.
3.4 Monitor setup
Please refer to the Annex “Monitor Setup” to pair the monitor with the DentalS-
cope.

4.2 With the USB converter
√ Connect the USB converter to your device (Computer, Tablet or Smartphone),
√ Start the visualization software,
√ Press the green button on the scope
And start working!
4.3 With the Monitor
√ Turn on the monitor, and choose the right mode (DVR or RF),
√ Press the green button on the scope,
And start working!
4.1 With the AV-cable
√ Connect both sides of the AV-cable:
- Small-pin side connected to the rear of the DentalScope,
- Large-pin side connected to the screen.
√ Press the green button on the DentalScope,
And start working!
CHAPTER 4: STANDARD USE
4.4 Precautions for use
The USB converter is an element which dissipates a lot of heat.
Do not keep your hand in contact with this device.
The USB converter is not waterproof, it must be protected against splashing water.
Do not use force to insert the USB adapters, the USB converter, or the video cable,
check the direction of insertion.
4.5 Battery charge status
Battery charge status is integrated and indicated by the LED located at the base of
the handle, next to the main charging connectors.
Press the green button: the LED lights RED during 2 seconds, then:
√ If the LED turns to continuous GREEN: charge status is OK,
√ If the LED is ashing GREEN: the battery must be recharged,
√ If the LED turns to continuous RED: the battery is discharged.
The DentalScope cannot be used if it is discharged, even with the power cord.
4.6 Camera lens
The camera is not equipped with an anti-fog system on the lens. If mist appears, brie-
y immerse the camera head / lens in a bucket of clean water. The head is completely
waterproof.

CHAPTER 5: MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND STORAGE
5.1 Routine maintenance
The equipment does not require any routine maintenance.
5.2 Cleaning
At the end of each working day, clean the DentalScope with clean water.
Do not use any concentrated detergent, thinner, acetone, acid or basic.
Wipe clean and dry with a microber cloth, before storing in the transport box.
Do not immerse the lower part of the handle, the connectors are not
waterproof.
Do not immerse the converter.
5.3 Other maintenance requirement

CHAPTER 6: WARRANTY
Refer to the HDE General Sales Terms.
The warranty covers normal use of the equipment, and does not cover the following
damages:
• Damage due to abnormal wear,
• Damage due to improper use,
• Damage due to lack of maintenance,
• Equipment dismantled without authorization from HDE or one of its Technical
Centers,
• External factors to the equipment.

ANNEX: MONITOR SETUP
The monitor is equipped with several modes. Only 2 modes are useful for the
DentalScope:
• RF Mode: dedicated for direct visualization
• DVR Mode: dedicated for visualization + screenshot + video capture.
To choose the mode:
√ Press «SOURCE/EXIT» to scroll down to the dedicated mode,
√ Press «CH/+» to validate,
Frequency setup – to pair with the DentalScope:
√ Turn on the DentalScope by pressing the green button on the handle,
√ Band setup:
- Press 1 time on «+/CH»
- Press on «-/BAND» and scroll down until Band A
√ Channel setup:
- Press on «+/CH» and scroll down until Chanel 1: 5865 MHz
- Remark: by pressing a long time on «+/CH» the device automatically
launches a scanning procedure to detect the channel of the DentalScope.
Monitor Recording - Taking pictures and/or videos
Slide the microSD card into the socket
√ Choose DVR mode,
√ Turn on the DentalScope, image appears.
√ To take a picture: press on «SC SHOT», it is done!
√ To take a video:
- Press 1 time on «REC/OK» to start recording,
- Press a second time on «REC/OK» to stop recording.
To view what has been recorded:
√ Press «MODE»
√ With keys «UP» and «DOWN» scroll pictures and videos recorded on the Mi-
croSD card
√ Press «REC/OK» to start playing the video.
√ Caution: with «MENU» you can delete the recordings.
