Warnings and Suggestions
GB !T e appliance as been designed and built according
to international safety standards.
T ese warnings are given for safety reasons and must
be followed carefully.
General safety
●T is tumble dryer is not intended for use by persons
(including c ildren) wit reduced p ysical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless t ey ave been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of t e appliance by a
person responsible for t eir safety.
●T is tumble dryer as been designed for ome, and
not professional use.
●Do not touc t e appliance w ile barefoot or wit
wet ands or feet.
●Unplug t e mac ine by pulling on t e plug, not
t e cord.
●C ildren must not be in proximity of t e dryer
w en in use. After using t e dryer, turn it off and
unplug it. Keep t e door closed to make sure t at
c ildren do not use it as a toy.
●C ildren s ould be supervised to ensure t at t ey
do not play wit t e dryer.
●T e appliance must be installed correctly and ave
proper ventilation. T e air intake at t e front of
t e dryer and rear vent be ind t e dryer s ould
never be obstructed (see Installation).
●Never use t e dryer on carpeting w ere t e pile
eig t would prevent air from entering t e dryer
from t e base.
●C eck to see if t e dryer is empty before loading it.
●T e back of t e dryer could become very
ot. Never touc it w ile in use.
●Do not use t e dryer unless t e filter, water
container and condenser are securely in place
(see Maintenance).
●Do not use liquid fabric softeners in t e dryer, add
it to t e final rinse of your was .
●Do not overload t e dryer (see Laundry for
maximum loads).
●Do not load items t at are dripping wet.
●Tumble dry items only if t ey ave been was ed
wit detergent and water, rinsed and been
t roug t e spin cycle. It is a fire azard to dry
items t at HAVE NOT been was ed wit water.
●Carefully c eck all instructions on clot ing labels
(see Laundry).
●Do not dry garments t at ave been treated wit
c emical products.
●Never dry articles t at are contaminated wit
flammable substances (cooking oil, acetone, alco ol,
petrol, kerosene, spot removers, turpentine, waxes,
wax removers and air sprays) unless was ed in ot
water wit an extra amount of detergent.
●Do not tumble dry rubber, rubber backed articles and
clot es, pillows fitted wit foam rubber pads, foam
(latex foam), rubber, plastic, s ower caps, waterproof
textiles, nappy pants or liners, polyt ene or paper.
●Do not tumble dry large, very bulky items.
●Do not tumble dry acrylic fibres at ig temperatures.
●Complete eac programme wit its Cool Tumble P ase.
●Do not turn off t e dryer w en t ere are still warm
items inside.
●Clean t e filter after eac use (see Maintenance).
●Empty t e water container after eac use (see
Maintenance).
●Clean t e condenser unit after regular intervals
(see Maintenance).
●Do not allow lint to collect around t e dryer.
●Never climb on top of t e dryer. It could result in damage.
●Always follow electrical standards and requirements
(see Installation).
●Always buy original spare parts and accessories
(see Service).
!WARNING: Never stop t e dryer before t e end of a
drying cycle unless all items are quickly removed and
spread out do t at t e eat is dissipated.
Recycling and disposal information
As part of our continued commitment to elping t e
environment, we reserve t e rig t to use quality recycled
components to keep down customer costs and minimise
material wastage.
●Disposing of t e packaging material: follow local
regulations, so t at packaging can be recycled.
●To minimise risk of injury to c ildren, remove t e
door and plug - t en cut off mains cable, flus
wit t e appliance. Dispose of t ese parts separately
to ensure t at t e appliance can no longer be
plugged into a mains socket.
Disposal of old electrical appliances
T e European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires t at old
ouse old electrical appliances must not be disposed
of in t e normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old
appliances must be collected separately in order to
optimise t e recovery and recycling of t e materials
t ey contain and reduce t e impact on uman ealt
and t e environment.
T e crossed out “w eeled bin” symbol on t e
product reminds you of your obligation, t at
w en you dispose of t e appliance it must be
separately collected.
Consumers s ould contact t eir local aut ority or
retailer for information concerning t e correct disposal
of t eir old appliance.
Saving energy and respecting the
environment
●Wring out items to eliminate excess water before
tumble drying (if you use a was ing mac ine first,
select a ig spin cycle). Doing t is will save time
and energy during drying.
●Always dry full loads - you save energy: single items
or small loads take longer to dry.
●Clean t e filter after eac use to contain energy
consumption costs (see Maintenance).
