Priming the Water ollection System
W en your dryer is new, t e water container will not collect water until t e system is primed... t is will take 1 or 2 drying
cycles. Once primed it will collect water during every drying cycle.
STEP 1.
Open t e door of your
dryer.

Pull out t e filter (using
t e two finger grips).
STEP 3.
Clean any fluff deposits
from t e filter mes .
STEP 4.
Refit t e filter - NEVER
run t e dryer wit out t e
filter in position.
For your Condenser dryer to operate efficiently, you must follow t e regular maintenance sc edule s own below:

Where to put your dryer
●Place your dryer at a distance from gas ranges,
stoves, eaters, or cook tops because flames can
damage t e appliance.
●If you are going to install t e
appliance under a work
counter, be sure to leave a
10mm space between t e top
and any ot er objects on or
above t e mac ine and a
15mm space between t e
sides and lateral furnis ings or
walls.
T is is to ensure proper air circulation.
!Make sure t at t e back vents are not obstructed.
Ventilation
W en t e dryer is in use, t ere as to be adequate
ventilation. Make sure you put your dryer in an
environment t at is not damp and as proper air
circulation t roug out. Airflow around t e dryer is
essential to condense t e water produced during t e
was ing, t e dryer will not operate efficiently in an
enclosed space or cupboard.
!If using t e dryer in a small or cold room some
condensation could be experienced.
!We do not recommend t at t e dryer is installed in a
cupboard but t e dryer must never be installed
be ind a lockable door, a sliding door or a door wit a
inge on t e opposite side to t at of t e dryer door.
Door Reversal Instructions
T e door of your dryer is reversible and can easily be
c anged. Exc ange diagonally inge brackets and
blanking screws. Exc ange door latc and catc wit
t eir opposite blanking plates (see diagram above).
Water drain
If your dryer is installed next to a drain t e water can be
plumbed into t is drain. T is does away wit t e need to
empty t e water container (
see Plumbing your Dryer ).
Electrical connections
Make sure of t e following before you insert t e plug
into t e t e electrical socket:
●T e socket must be grounded.
●T e socket must be able to sustain t e mac ines
maximum power, w ic is indicated on t e rating
label (see Dryer Description).
●Power voltage must be wit in t e values indicated on
t e rating label (see Dryer Description).
●T e socket must be compatible wit t e dryers plug.
●S ould t is not be t e case, replace t e plug or t e socket.
!Do not use extension cords.
!T e dryer must not be installed outdoors, even if t e
space is s eltered. It can be very dangerous if it is
exposed to rain or storms.
!Once installed, t e dryers electrical wire and plug
must be wit in easy reac .
!T e power cord must not be bent or squas ed.
!T e power cord supplied is fitted wit a BS1363 plug
and a 13 amp BS1362 fuse. If you need to replace t e
fuse, use only t ose rated at 13 amp (13A) and ASTA
approved to BS1362.

wit out t e fuse cover in place.

and replaced by a cord specially prepared for t is dryer
and fitted only by aut orised tec nicians (see Service).
New or longer power cords are supplied at an extra
c arge by aut orised dealers.
!T e manufacturer denies any responsibility s ould
any of t ese rules not be followed.
!If in doubt about any of t e above consult a qualified
electrician.
Before you start using your dryer
Once you ave installed your dryer and before you use
it, clean t e inside of t e drum to remove any dust
t at could ave accumulated during transport.

T e lean Filter icon reminds you to
clean t e filter every time you use t e dryer (see
Maintenance).
T e On/Off indicator lig t signals t at your dryer is
in use or ready to select a programme.
T e ON/OFF button : If t e dryer is running and
t is button is pressed, t e dryer stops. Press again,
t e dryer restarts. If you ave not opened t e door,
press t e START button to continue.
T e Progress icons :
s ow you t e status of t e programme. T ey s ow
eac stage of t e programme by t e corresponding
icon turning on (see Start and Programmes).
T e PROGRAMME Selection buttons set t e
programme: press t e button corresponding wit t e
programme you want to select (see Start and
Programmes).
T e START/ AN EL button starts a selected
programme. W en you press t is button t ere will be
one s ort beep and t e progress icons will flas
on/off to confirm t e action. If you ave not set a
programme, t e buzzer will beep four times. W en a
programme is running, olding t is button in gives one
long beep and cancels t e programme and stops t e
dryer (see Start and Programmes).
T e OPTION buttons/icons: t ese buttons select
available options for your selected programme (see
The Controls). T e icons indicate t at t e option as
been selected.
T e Empty Water icon signals t at t e
water container s ould be emptied. W en it is flas ing
it indicates t at t e container is full.
T e lig t will take a few seconds to go out after
replacing t e empty container, t e dryer must be
running for t is to appen (see The Controls).
Note: If t e water bottle fills and t e icon flas es, t e
eat is turned off and your clot es will not dry.

hoosing a programme
1. Plug t e dryer into t e electrical socket.
2. Sort your laundry according to fabric type (see
Laundry).
3. Open t e door and make sure t e filter is clean
and in place and t at t e water container is
empty and in place (see Maintenance).
4. Load t e mac ine and make sure items are not
in t e way of t e door seal. Close t e door.
5. If t e On/Off lig t is not lit: Press t e ON/OFF button
6. Press t e Programme selection button t at
corresponds to t e fabric type being dried by
c ecking t e Programmes table (see Programmes)
as well as t e indications for eac type of fabric
(see Laundry).
7. C oose Timed Drying or Dryness Levels option.
- If Timed Drying press and release Timed button

- To c ange from default dryness setting press
and release Dryness Levels button until required
level is indicated.

8. Set a delay time and ot er options if necessary.
9. If you wis to select t e buzzer sound, at t e end
of t e programme, press t e ALARM Option button.
10. Press t e START button to begin. T e display will
s ow t e estimated time to end.
During t e drying programme, you can c eck on
your laundry and take out items t at are dry
w ile ot ers continue drying. W en you close
t e door again, press t e START button in order
to resume drying.
11. During t e last few minutes of Drying
Programmes, before t e programme is
completed, t e final COOL TUMBLE p ase
is entered (fabrics are cooled),
t is p ase s ould always be allowed to complete.
12. T e buzzer (if Alarm Option was selected) will
warn you w en t e programme is complete and
t e display s ows .
Open t e door, take t e laundry out, clean t e filter
and replace it. Empty t e water container and
replace it (see Maintenance).
If t e Post Care Option as been selected
and you do not remove t e laundry immediately,
t e dryer will tumble occasionally for 10 ours
or until you open t e door.
13. Unplug t e dryer.
Easy Iron Programme
‘Easy Iron’ is a s ort 10 minute programme (8 minutes of eat followed by a 2 minute cool tumble period) w ic
fluffs t e fibres of clot ing t at ave been left in t e same position/location for an extended period of time.
T e cycle relaxes t e fibres and makes t em easier to iron and fold.
!‘Easy Iron’ is not a drying programme and s ould not be used for wet articles of clot ing.
For best results:
1. Do not load more t an t e maximum capacity. T ese numbers refer to t e dry weig t:

2. Unload t e dryer immediately after t e end of t e programme, ang, fold or iron t e articles and put
t em away in t e closet. S ould t is not be possible repeat t e programme.
T e ‘Easy Iron’ effect varies from one fabric to t e next. It works well on traditional fabrics like Cotton or
Cotton mix, and less well on acrylic fibres and on materials suc as Tencel®.
Wool Programme
●T is is a programme for tumble dryer safe garments marked wit t e symbol .
●It can be used for load sizes up to 1kg (approximately 3 sweaters).
●We recommend t at garments are turned inside out before drying.
●T is programme will take about 60 minutes, but may take longer depending on t e size and density of t e load
and t e spin speed used in your was er.
●Loads dried using t is programme are usually ready to wear, but on some eavier garments t e edges may
be slig tly damp. Allow t ese to dry naturally as over-drying could damage garments.
!Unlike ot er materials, t e mec anism of wool s rinkage is irreversible; i.e. it will not stretc back to original
size and s ape.
!T is programme is not suitable for Acrylic garments.
The wool drying cycle of this tumble dryer has been approved by The Woolmark Company for the drying of
Woolmark garments labelled as machine wash and tumble dry, provided that the garments are dried according
to instructions on the garment label and those issued by the manufacturer of this tumble dryer (M0616).
This is the first and only wool drying cycle approved by The Woolmark Company.

●Empty Water Icon / ontainer
(If you ave plumbed your dryer to a drain t is icon can
be ignored, as t ere is no need to empty t e water
container).
W en t is icon is on (not flas ing) it reminds you to
empty t e water container.
If t e water container fills during a programme, t e
eater turns off and t e dryer does a period of Cool
Tumble t en t e icon flas es and t e buzzer sounds.
After t is it stops and all progress icons come on and
t e empty water icon flas es.
You must empty t e water container and restart t e
dryer or t e clot es will not dry. After re-starting t e
dryer t e icon will take a few seconds to go out.
To avoid t is always empty t e water container eac
time you use t e dryer (see Maintenance).
●Door Opening
Opening t e door during a programme will stop t e
dryer and ave t e following effects:
●All 4 progress icons come on.
●During a delay p ase t e delay will continue to
count down. T e start button must be pressed to
resume t e delay programme.
T e progress icons will c ange to s ow current
status.
●During t e drying part of t e programme, t e
colons on t e display stop flas ing to s ow t at
t e time as stopped counting down.
T e start button must be pressed to resume t e
programme. T e progress icons will c ange to
s ow t e current status, t e colons flas and
count down continues.
●During t e Airing programme or a Cool Tumble or
Post Care p ase, t e programme ends and t e
display s ows .
●Note
If you ave a power cut, switc off t e power or
remove t e plug. W en t e power is restored, press
t e START button and t e programme will resume.
!Warning, after pressing t e start button, t e
programme cannot be c anged.
!ON/OFF button : press t is button and you pause
t e programme. Press it again and t e programme will
resume, if you ave opened t e door you will need to
press t e Start button to resume t e programme.
!START/ AN EL button : press and old in t is
button and you cancel a programme, t e display t en
s ows .
●Option buttons / icons
T ese buttons are used to customise t e selected
programme to your requirements. A programme must
ave been selected, by pressing a programme selection
button, before an option can be selected. Not all
options are available for all programmes (see Start
and Programmes). If an option is not available and you
press t e button, t e buzzer will beep four times. If
t e option is available t ere will be one beep and t e
option icon lig ts to confirm t e selection.
Time Delay
T e start of some programmes (see Start and
Programmes) can be delayed for up to 18 ours.
Ensure t e water container is emptied before setting
a delayed start.
To set, press t e Time Delay button, t e display s ows
and t e option TIME DELAY icon comes on.
Press again and a 1 our delay is selected and t e
display s ows , eac furt er press of t e button
adds 1 r to t e delay. W en is displayed a
furt er press and t e display s ows and after a
couple of seconds cancels t e delay.
Pre are
T is option is only available if a delayed start as been
selected. It tumbles t e clot es occasionally during
t e delayed period to elp prevent creases developing.
Alarm
Available on all programmes and allows t e buzzer to
give a signal at t e end of t e drying cycle, to remind
you t at t e clot es are ready to be removed.
Press t e button and t e icon will s ow t at t e
option is selected.
Post are
W en available and selected, t e clot es are
occasionally tumbled after t e end of t e drying and
cool tumble cycles, to elp prevent creases
developing s ould you not be available to remove t e
load immediately t e programme is complete.
●TIME DISPLAY
T e display s ows eit er t e amount of time delay
remaining or an indication of t e amount of time left
for a drying programme.
T e delay time is displayed in ours and counts down

●C eck symbols on clot ing labels to make sure
t at t e articles can be tumble dried.
●Sort laundry by fabric type.
●Empty pockets and c eck buttons.
●Close zippers and ooks and tie loose belts and strings.
●Wring out eac item in order to eliminate as muc
excess water as possible.
!Do not load dripping wet clot es into t e dryer.

At t e end of a drying cycle, cottons could still be
damp if you grouped cottons and synt etics toget er.
If t is appens simply give t em an additional s ort
period of drying.
●Note
T e last 10 minutes of any time set is t e Cool Tumble
so allow for t is w en setting t e time, as t is period
will not dry your laundry.
Wash are Labels
Look at t e labels on your garments, especially w en
tumble drying for t e first time. T e following symbols
are t e most common:

What not to tumble dry in your dryer:
●Articles t at containing rubber or rubber-like
materials or plastic film (pillows, cus ions, or PVC
rainwear), any ot er flammable articles or objects
t at contain flammable substances (towels soiled
wit air spray).
●Glass fibres (certain types of draperies).
●Items w ic ave been dry cleaned.
●Items wit t e ITCL Code (see Special
clothing items). T ese can be cleaned wit special
at- ome dry cleaning products. Follow instructions
carefully.
●Large bulky items (quilts, sleeping bags, pillows,
cus ions, large bedspreads etc). T ese expand
w en drying and would prevent airflow t roug
t e dryer.
