HP Pavilion md5880n 58" High Definition DLP TV Datasheet

hp
Get powerfully bright colors—and deeper, darker
blacks—from a sleek, shimmering 58-inch HP
microdisplay TV.
HP brings new meaning to basic black by combining
a beautifully refined, sleek exterior with HP color
science and bold engineering. This 58-inch HP
Pavilion microdisplay TV offers a rich visual feast for
the eyes. HP Visual Fidelity includes Wobulation, a
resolution-doubling technology that produces a
smoother high-definition picture with lush, vibrant
colors and fine detail—virtually free from the “screen
door” effect common to microdisplay TVs.
Building on popular DLP™technology with
remarkably steep contrast ratios, black enhancements
and a brighter lamp, picture details emerge from dark
or low-light scenes and richer colors appear with
improved contrast. HP Visual Fidelity technologies are
the power behind the picture, resulting in superior
picture definition that you won’t find anywhere else.
Enjoying high-definition TV has never been easier!
Installation is hassle-free with a lighted front
connectivity panel that helps manage cables. Choose
from up to ten sources and fine-tune color and sound
via the remote and onscreen menus that are easy to
understand and use. And an integrated CableCARD™
tuner eliminates the need for additional components.
Four preset picture and four audio modes allow for
fast, easy tuning. Simply set modes, save them and
then choose what’s best for your viewing conditions.
Immerse yourself in thrilling, home-theatre-quality
sound. An impressive audio system includes surround
capability and an integrated subwoofer, eliminating
the need for additional sound components. The highly
polished black finish brings a touch of class to any
room, and takes up less space than a traditional TV.
• HP Visual Fidelity technologies deliver resolution
enhancements that produce fine detail at 1080p
resolution.
