11.Securetheworkpiece
Use the clamping devices oravice tohold
the workpieceinplace.Inthismanner,itis
heldmoresecurelythan withyour hand.
Anadditionalsupport isnecessaryforlong
work-pieces (table,trestle,etc.)inorderto
prevent themachine fromtipping over.
Alwayspresstheworkpiecefirmlyagainst

the workingplateand stop inordertoprevent
bouncingandtwistingofthe workpiece.
12.Avoidabnormal posture
Makesurethatyou havesecurefooting
and alwaysmaintainyour balance.
Avoidawkwardhand positions inwhich a
sudden slipcouldcauseone orbothhandsto
comeintocontact withthesawblade.
13.Take careof yourtools
Keep cuttingtoolssharpand clean inorder
tobeabletoworkbetter and moresafely.
Followtheinstructionsforlubricationand
fortool replacement.
Check the connectioncableofthe electric
toolregularlyandhaveit replacedbya
recognised specialistwhen damaged.
Checkextension cables regularlyand
replace themwhen damaged.
Keep thehandledry,clean and freeofoil
and grease.
14.Pull theplugoutoftheoutlet
Neverremoveloose splinters,chips or
jammed wood pieces fromthe running saw
blade.
Duringnon-use oftheelectrictoolorprior
tomaintenanceand when replacingtools
such assawblades, bits,millingheads.
When the sawbladeisblocked due to
abnormalfeed force duringcutting,turnthe
machine offand disconnectitfrompower
supply.Removetheworkpieceandensure
thatthe sawblade runs free.Turnthe
machine onandstartnewcuttingoperation
withreducedfeedforce.

Pull outthemainsplugforanyadjustment
or repairtasks.
Thegeneration ofnoise isinfluencedby
various factors,including thecharacteristics
ofsawblades,condition ofsawblade and
electrictool.Use sawblades which were
designed forreduced noise development,
insofaraspossible.Maintainthe electrictool
and toolattachmentsregularlyand if
necessary,initiaterepairsinordertoreduce
noise.
Reportfaultson the electrictool, protective
devices orthe toolattachmenttothe person
responsibleforsafetyassoon astheyare
dis-covered.

Use the push stickorhandlewithsliding
wood,topassthe workpiece securelyoutoff
the sawblade.
Makesurethattherivingknifeisalways
used, andset upiscorrectly.
Use the upperblade guardand setittothe
cor-rectposition.
Onlyusesawblades forwhich the
maximumpermissiblespeed isnotlowerthan
the maxi-mumspindlespeed oftablesaws
and which aresuitableforthematerialtobe
cut.
Donot cut rebatesorgrooves withoutfitting
asuitableguard,e.g.atunnel-type guard,
over the sawtable.
Circularsawsmustnotbeused forslotting
jobs (cuttinggrooves which end inthe
workpiece).
When transportingtheelectrictool,only
use the transportdevices.Neveruse the
protectivedevices for handlingortransport.
Makesurethatthe upperpartofthesaw
blade iscovered duringtransport, e.g.bythe
protectivedevice.
Besuretoonlyuse spacersand spindle
ringsspecified bythe manufactureras
suitableforthe intended purpose.
Theflooraroundthemachine mustbelevel,
clean and free oflooseparticles,such as
chipsand cutting residues.
Alwaysstand totheside ofthesawblade
when working withthesaw.
Donotremoveanycutting residues or
otherpartsofworkpieces fromthecutting
zone whilethe machine isrunning andthe
sawunit isnotatrest.
Makesurethatthemachineisalways

secured on aworkbenchoratableifatall
possible.
Supportlongworkpieces (e.g.witharoller
table)topreventthem saggingatthe end of a
cut.
Attention! Neverremoveloose splinters,

Switch offthemachinetotroubleshootor
remo-vejammedpieces ofwood. -
Disconnectthemainpowerplug-
Refitting,including adjusting and measuring
works,andcleaningmustbe carried outonly
when the motorisswitched off. -Disconnect
themainpowerplug -
Beforeswitching on again,ensurethatkeys
and adjustmenttoolshavebeen removed.

5Clean grease,oil and wateroffofthe
clamping surfaces.
6Donotuseanyloosereducing ringsor
bushes forthereducingofholes onsaw
blades.
7Makesurethatfixed reducerringsfor
securing the insertion toolhavethe same
diameterandhaveatleast1/3ofthe cutting
diameter.
8Makesurethatfixed reducerrings are
paralleltoeach other.
9Handleinsertion toolwithcaution.Theyare
ideallystoredintheoriginallypackageor
specialcontain-ers. Wearprotectivegloves in
ordertoimprovegripand tofurtherreduce
the riskof injury.

used for cutting anytype of roundwood.

5. Beforestarting theequipment
Beforeyou connecttheequipmenttothemains
supplymakesurethatthe dataontherating
plateareidenticaltothe mains data.
Warning! The maximumpermissiblesystem
impedanceis 0.340Ωattheinterfacepointof
the user’ssupply.Themanufactoryshould
declareitinthe equipmentinstruction manual
and instructthe usertodetermine in
consultationwiththesupplyauthority,if
necessary,thatthe equipmentisconnected
onlytoasupplyof that impedance or less.

locksthe stand.The stand and sawassembly
can nowbe pivoted and rolled away.

1.Pushthestandrelease latch(A)andatthe
sametime,graspthe standhandles (B)andpull
themdowntowards you.Push downuntil the
releaselatch clicksandlocksthe stand.The
standand sawassemblycan nowbeused for
cuts.
Mounting bladeguard(Fig.4)
Mountthe sawblade guard(A) together withthe
bolt(B)on top ofthe rivingknife(C),so thatthe
boltisfirmlyseatedintheslotofthe
rivingknife(C).

blade guard(A)must movefreely.
Plugthe suction hose(D)on tothesuction
adapteand theconnectingpiece ofthesaw

Adjusting riving knife

Removethe tableinsertfromthe tabletop by
pullingitupwards.Turnthe elevation hand
wheelclockwise and raise the bladetoits
highestposition abovethetable.
Loosen themountingbolt(A)inordertopull ou
tthesplittingwedgeuntilthe rightdistanceis
adjusted.
Therivingknife(B)consistsofametalpiece,

slightlythinnerthan theblade,thathelpsto
keeptheblade kerf opentopreventkickback.
The distance between the sawblade and the
rivingknifemust be3mm-5mm.
Tightenthemountingbolt(A)againandmount
the benchinsert.

automaticallyalignand securethe ripfence in
place.

Whencrosscuttingand the blade isset at 900 or
450tothe table,the mitergaugecan be used in
eitherT-sloton the table.When crosscutting
and the blade istilted,useT-sloton rightside of
tablewherethe bladeistiltedawayfromyour
hands and mitergauge.
1.Toadjust the miter gauge,loosen lockhandle
(A)and setthe mitergaugebodywithscaleso
the indicatoraligns tothedesired cuttingangle,
then retightenlockhandle.

capacity.Tousetheextension table;
1.Unlock orremovetheripfencefrom thetable.
2.Unlock theextension table(A)byloosenthe
extension lock lever(B), slide theextension to
the desiredwidth.Usethescaleonthefrontrail

when aspecificwidthisdesired.
3.Oncetheextension isinthe desired position,
tighten the locklever(B)tosecurethe extension
inplace.The ripfencecan nowbe installed as
shownin.

Installing/changingblade
(Fig. 12&Fig.13)
Warning!Disconnectpowercordfrompower
source beforeinstalling/changingblade.
1.Uninstall theblade guardassemblyfromthe
rivingknife.Then removethe tableinsertto
gainaccess totheblade arbor.
2.Raise theblade toitshighestposition above
the table.
3.Placetheopenendofoneofthe adjustment
wrenches(A)on the flatportion ofthe inside
blade flangetopreventthe saw arborand blade
fromrotating.Thenplacetheclosedend ofthe
second adjustmentwrench (B)on arbornut
(A)andturnthearbornutcounterclockwise,
removearbor nut andoutside blade flange(B).
4.Place newblade on arbor(D)makingsure
the bladeteethpointdownwards towards the
front ofthe tablesaw.
5.Replace outsideblade flange(B)and arbor
nut(A)onarborshaft andtightenwitharbor
wrenches.
6.Reinstall thetableinsert,thentheblade
guardfingersassembly.

7. Using thesaw
The operation ofpowertoolsinvolves acertain
amountofhazardfortheoperator.Before
attemptingregularworkwerecommend you get
the feelofoperationsusingscraplumberto
checksettings.Read entireinstructionsbefore
you starttocutworkpiece.Alwayspayattention
tosafetyprecautionstoavoidpersonalinjury.

Toturnthesawon,pressthegreenbutton
“I”.Wait forthe blade toreach itsmaximum
speed ofrotation beforecommencingwiththe
cut.
Toturnthemachine offagain,press the red
button “O”.

7.2.RESETBUTTON(OVERLOAD
PROTECTOR) (Fig. 14)
Thissaw comeswithanoverload resetbutton(B)
Ifthe saw motoroverheats,asafetymechanism
stops themotorautomaticallydue tomotor
over-heating orlowvoltage.Topreventmotor
over-heating,reduceload on motor or check
voltage.
Allowmotortocooldown,then pressthereset
buttonand restartthe saw. Ifthesawdoes not
restart, wait an additional5minutesbefore
restarting.
Cross cutting
Cross cuttingrequiresthe useofthe miter
gaugetoposition and guide the work.Place the
workagainst themitergaugeandadvance both
the miter gaugeand worktowardthe sawblade.
Themitergaugemaybeusedineithertable
T-slot,however,mostoperatorsprefertheleft
grooveforaveragework.When bevelcutting
(blade tilted),usetherightside tableT-slotso
thatitdoesn’tinterferewiththetilted sawblade.
Thebladeguardmustbeused.The rivingknife
toprevent thesawkerffrom closing.
Startthecutslowlyand holdtheworkfirmly
againstthe mitergaugeand thetable.Oneof
the rules inrunning asawisthatyou never
hang ontoortouchafree pieceofwork.Hold
the supported piece,notthe free piece thatis
cutoff.The feedincross cutting continues until
the workiscutintwo,thenthe mitergaugeand
workarepulled backtothe startingpoint.
Beforepullingthe workback itisgood practice
togivethe workalittlesidewaysshifttomove
the workslightlyawayfromthe sawblade.
Neverpick up anyshortlengthoffree work
fromthetablewhilethesawisrunning.Asmart
operatornevertouchesacut-offpiece unlessit
isatleastafootlong.Neverusetheripfence
as acut-offgaugewhen crosscutting.
Ripping
Rippingistheoperation ofmaking alength
wise cutthroughaboard,theripfenceisused
toposition andguide thework.Oneedgeofthe
workrides againstthe ripfencewhilethe flat
side ofthe boardrestonthe table.Since the
workispushed alongthefence,itmusthavea
straightedgeandmakesolidcontactwiththe
table.Theblade guardmustbeused.The

guardhasanti-kickbackfingersand ariving
knifetopreventthesawkerffromclosing.
Start the motorand advance the workholding it
downand against thefence.Never,standinthe
line ofthesawcutwhen ripping.Holdthe
workwithbothhands and push italongthe
fenceandintothesawblade.Theworkcan
then be fed throughthe sawblade withone or
twohands.
Whenthisisdone theworkwill eitherstayon
the table,tiltupslightlyand be caughtbythe
rearendofthe guardorslide offthetabletothe
floor.Alternately,thefeedcancontinue tothe
end ofthetable,afterwhich the workislifted
and broughtbackalongthe outside edgeof the
fence.The wastestockremains on thetable
and isnottouched withthe handsuntil thesaw
isstopped unless itisalargepiece allowing
saferemoval.
Makinganon-through cut
Non-throughcutscanbemadewiththegrain
(ripping)oracross thegrain(cross cut).
Non-throughcutsareneeded forcutting
grooves,rabbetsanddadoes.Thisistheonly
type ofcutthatthe bladegetscovered bythe
workpiece and ismadewithoutthe blade guard
and anti-kickbackfingerassemblies installed.
Makesuretheblade guardarereinstalled after
thistype of cut isdone.
Fornon-throughcuts,position the rivingknifein
the “down”position,setthe blade tothecorrect
heightand tightentheblade heightlock
knob.Turnon the sawand allowthe blade to
comeuptospeed,usepushstickstofeed
workpiece intoblade.
8. Replacing thepower cable
Danger!
If thepower cableforthisequipment is
damaged,itmust bereplaced bythe
manufacturer or itsafter-sales service or
similarlytrained personneltoavoiddanger.
9.Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering ofspareparts
Danger!
Alwayspull outthemains powerplugbefore
star-tinganycleaningwork.
9.1Cleaning
Keep all safetydevices,airventsand the
motorhousingfree ofdirt anddustasfaras
possible.Wipe the equipment withaclean cloth
or blowit withcompressed air at lowpressure.
Werecommend thatyou clean the device
immediatelyeach timeyou havefinished using
it.
Clean the equipmentregularlywithamoist
clothandsomesoft soap.Donotusecleaning
agentsorsolvents;these couldat-tackthe
plasticpartsoftheequipment. Ensu-rethatno
watercan seepintothedevice.Theingressof
waterintoanelectrictoolincreasestheriskof
an electricshock.
9.2Carbonbrushes
Incaseofexcessivesparking,havethe carbon
brushescheckedonlybyaqualifi edelectrician.
Danger! The carbonbrushes shouldnotbe rep
laced byanyone but aqualifiedelectrician.
9.3Maintenance
Thereareno partsinside the equipmentwhich
requireadditional maintenance.

10. Disposaland recycling

material,suchasmetalandplastic.Never
place defectiveequipmentinyourhousehold
refuse.Theequipmentshouldbetakentoa
suitablecollection centerforproperdisposal.If
you do notknowthewhereaboutsofsucha
collection point, you shouldask inyourlocal
council offices.
11.Storage
Storetheequipmentandaccessoriesinadark
and dryplaceatabovefreezingtemperature.
The idealstoragetemperatureisbetween 5
and 30 °C.Storethe electrictoolinitsoriginal
packaging.
