product, please read this user’s manual thoroughly
Use CLEAN WATER only. Do not use moisturizing
liquid or any volatile polymer chemical solvent that
could damage the built-in sensor.
The control unit is not water-proof. You must prevent
water from entering into the control unit. If water gets

accident.
Once water enters into the control unit, please
immediately disconnect the power supply and dry the
control unit.
1. Parts
Control unit
Water cartridge
1.2”(30mm) height for S1
2.2”(55mm) height for M1
Ribbon cable
18”(450mm) length for S1
31”(800mm)length for M1
Adaptor
Input:100-240VAC, 50/60Hz
Output: 5VDC/1A
2. Applicability
The difference between S1 & M1 is the height of cartridge and
length of ribbon cable. S1 is with size of 6” (153m) Length, 2”
(50mm) Width , 2.3” (59mm) Height, suitable for a humidor.
M1 is with size of 6” (153m) length, 2” (50mm) Width , 3.3” (84mm)
Height, suitable for a humidor or a cigar cabinet. More M1 are
recommended for a non-refrigeration cabinet more than 8 cubic feet
(230 liters) or a refrigerator more than 2 cubic feet (60 liters).
Serials connection cable as optional part is to connect the
multiple humidifiers in parallel to simplify power connection.
3. Installations
Step #1, Remove all plastic packaging. Fill water cartridge with
CLEAN WATER slowly until sponge inside is fully saturated. Pour
out any excess water from cartridge and wipe dry the outsides of the
cartridge.
Step #2, Locate control unit to water cartridge. Hold water cartridge
by a hand and sliding push control unit slightly toward logo on the
control unit to lock it with water cartridge. There is an align mark
both on the control unit and water cartridge. Make sure the marks are
aligned.
Step #3, Power cord connection. The humidifier works with 5VDC
voltage supply. An AC/DC adaptor and an USB cable has been
provided to convert 100~240VAC into 5VDC for the humidifier.
Connect USB port of the USB cable to the adaptor and connect the
other end to power port “5VDC in” on the control unit directly or
through the thin ribbon cable that is for limited spacing for cable
passing through. DON’T supply power to the two ports on control
unit at the same time.
Step #4, Plug the adaptor to wall outlet to run the humidifier.
You may use a 5V battery as the power supply of the humidifier.
The battery should not be with the function that be automatically
shut down at low current as the humidifier runs with a very low
current .
External fan is available as optional part that may be used in a
cigar cabinet to improve air circulation. There is an ‘External
fan/5VDC out’ port on the side of control unit. This port can be
®

connected to an external fan as the power supply of the external
fan and also can be used as electronically parallel connection with
another S1 or M1 humidifier.
4. Setting
There are three rubber keys for setting on the control unit. The
humidifier is factory set at 70%RH and can be adjusted by user to
any value from 60%RH to 80%RH. Key ‘▲’ is to increase the
humidity setting value. Key ‘▼’ is to decrease humidity setting
value. The displayed humidity value is equal to the humidity value
measured by the built-in sensor plus a calibration value. The built-in
fan will run to blow the moist airflow to the humidor when the
displayed humidity value is lower than setting value. The fan will
stop when the displayed humidity value is equal or higher than
setting value. Key ‘C’ is for calibration. You may adjust calibration
value to get more accurate value if you are sure another hygrometer
on your hand is more accurate. The factory setting calibration value
is zero. Click key ‘C’ and you will see the calibration value
displayed from LED, within 3 seconds, press Key ‘▲’ or ‘▼’ to
increase or decrease the calibration value within a range of -5.0 to
+5.0. For example, if the displayed humidity value from the
humidifier is 2%RH higher than the humidity value measured by a
high accurate hygrometer, you may set calibration value as -2.0 ,
and then the displayed humidity value on the humidifier will equal
to the measured humidity value plus the calibration value -2.0. The
setting values will not be lost even power off.
5. Alarms
There are two alarms for built-in fan error and lack of water. LED
will display ‘ ’ and buzzer will alarm to indicate ‘Fan error’ in
case of fan failure. LED will display ‘ ’ and buzzer will alarm to
indicate ‘Lack of water’ in case the measured humidity value is
10%RH at least lower than humidity setting value for two hours
that mostly be caused by lack of water. Alarm ‘Lack of water’ could
be happened in case the size of your humidor or cigar cabinet
exceeds the capability of the humidifier or the humidor/cigar cabinet
is not sealed well.
6. Location
You may put the humidifier in a humidor or a cigar cabinet after the
humidifier has been installed and set to regulate the desire humidity
level. Make sure the air paths of the humidifier has not been blocked.
It is recommended the humidifier to be placed with the LED up
toward. Keep at least 2 inch (50mm) clearance from the side air
outlet of humidifier to cigars or wall of a humidor and 0.2 inch
(5mm) clearance from the top air inlet to the lid. For a cabinet
application, it is recommended that the humidifier to be placed on
the centre position of the top layer, and if there are more humidifiers,
the second humidifier to be placed on the centre position of the
middle layer.
