Product Installation
1. Identify a location for the transmitter module that is within 6 feet (2 meters)
of the source. To use the supplied mounting bracket, follow these steps:
a. Determine on which side of the module to attach the mounting bracket
b. Remove the 2 screws from that side of the module and discard
c. Attach the supplied bracket using the two supplied screws per the
picture below:
d. Using the appropriate screws, mount the module through the mounting
bracket holes
2. Connect a High Speed HDMI Male-to-Male cable between the transmitter
module and the source.
3. If used, connect an IR Flasher or Receiver to the designated
connectors.
NOTE THAT INSTALLING AN IR FLASHER OR RECEIVER

ULE WHICH WILL NOT BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY.
4. If an automation system IR passthrough is needed, connect a 3.5mm mono
connector cable between the output of the automation system and the IR
input on the transmitter. Connect the IR asher to the IR output on the
receiver. NOTE: Unlike previous extenders, no adapter cable is required
between the automation system and the transmitter.
5. Connect the properly terminated end of a CAT5e/6 cable to the designated
connector (see Link Cable specications for cable requirements).
NOTE: DO NOT CONNECT THE CAT5e/6 TO ANY
DEVICE OTHER THAN THE SUPPLIED TRANSMIT-
TER AND RECEIVER, PARTICULARLY NOT TO ANY
NETWORK DEVICE! THE VOLTAGE DELIVERED FROM
THE TRANSMITTER WILL LIKELY DAMAGE SUCH
DEVICES.

6. Similarly, locate the receiver module within 6 feet (2 meters) of the display.
e receiver has permanently attached mounting brackets. Mount the re-
ceiver so that the status LEDs which are mounted on the side of the unit are
visible when you look behind the display.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE RECEIVER BE MOUNTED
HORIZONTALLY ON A VERTICAL WALL FOR PROPER
OPERATION AS SHOWN BELOW:
7. Connect a High Speed HDMI Male-to-Male cable between the receiver
module and the display.
8. If used, connect an IR Flasher or Receiver to the designated connectors.
NOTE THAT INSTALLING AN IR FLASHER OR RECEIVER INTO THE
WRONG CONNECTOR MAY DAMAGE THE MODULE WHICH WILL
NOT BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY.
9. Plug the output power cable from the supplied 24VDC power supply into
the transmitter module. Plug the power supply into an electrical outlet.
10. Both modules should power up - the Power and Link LEDs should light on
both modules

Product Operation
e transmitter and receiver modules have no user adjustments or controls - they
are fully self conguring and automatically adjust themselves to the environment.
Both modules have three LEDs which indicate the module’s status. ey are
interpreted as follows:
Transmitter LEDs Receiver LEDs
Power LED: ON: Indicates that proper power is available
OFF: On the transmitter, power is not available from the power
supply; on the receiver, no power is available over the
link cable
HDMI LED: ON: Data is being received and is HDCP protected
BLINK: Data is being received and is not HDCP protected
OFF: No data is being received
Link LED: ON: Link connection is good and unit is powered up
BLINK: Link connection is good and unit is powered down
FLICKER: Connection cannot be established
OFF: No communication between transmitter and receiver
Product Maintenance
e transmitter and receiver modules require no maintenance. However, the
units should be kept clear of liquids and the ventilation slots should be kept clear
of dust and other obstructions.
