Install the cable holders
If the power supply already has cable holders installed, continue to Install the machine interface
(CPC) port with voltage divider board on page 9.
1. Turn the power supply so that the power board is facing you.
2. Remove the adhesive covers on the cable holders.
3. Put the cable holder on the center panel so that the opening points up.
4. Bond the cable holder to the center panel 25 mm (1 inch) to the left of the center
grommet .
Make sure that both cable holders are 1,6 mm (1/16 inch) below the top
edge of the center panel. Electrical interference can occur when the cable
holders are put too low.
5. Bond the other cable holder to the center panel on the right side of the warning sticker.

Install the machine interface (CPC) port with voltage divider board
1. Put the machine interface (CPC) connector in the opening in the rear panel.
Make sure that the green and yellow ground wire is at the bottom of the
opening. Pin 1 and Pin 3 should be at the top of the connector.
2. Attach the machine interface (CPC) connector to the rear panel using the 2 screws.
Two screws are sufficient when inserted in opposite corners of the CPC
connector.
3. From the power board side, put the green
and yellow ground wire through the power
cord grommet .
4. From the fan side, remove the screw from
the ground stud .
5. Connect the green and yellow ground wire
to the ground stud.
Make sure that all of the other ground
wires remain connected to the
ground stud. Rotate the ground wire
terminals on the stud so that each
wire points in a different direction.
6. Put the voltage divider board wire through
the center panel pass-through that is
labeled CPC .

8. Push the voltage divider board into place on the
center panel.
Gently lift the plastic tabs as needed.
The voltage divider board clicks when the
board is securely in place.

10. Install the 4-pin connector cable as follows:
a. Put the cable above the black plastic mounting posts .
b. Put the cable into the cable holders .
c. Put the cable below the center grommet and wires .
Make sure that the 4-pin connector cable is perpendicular to the wires
that are from the center grommet. To decrease the risk of electrical
interference, keep to a minimum the amount of the connector cable that is
parallel to the other wires.

Set the voltage divider board
The factory presets the voltage divider to 50:1.
To change the voltage divider to a different setting:
1. Locate the voltage divider DIP switches on the fan side of the power supply.
Figure 2 – Factory default setting (50:1)
2. Set the DIP switches to one of the following settings:
NOTICE
The factory-installed internal voltage divider provides a maximum of 16 V under open circuit conditions.
This is an impedance-protected functional extra low voltage (ELV) output to prevent shock, energy, and
fire under normal conditions at the machine interface receptacle and under single fault conditions with
the machine interface wiring. The voltage divider is not fault tolerant and ELV outputs do not comply
with safety extra low voltage (SELV) requirements for direct connection to computer products.

Connect the internal components
1. If the RS-485 serial port is installed, connect the J2 connector into the RS-485 board.
2. Push-to-connect the gas supply hose
into the right side of the solenoid
valve .
3. Push the gas supply hose into the
plastic chassis divider guides .
4. Push-to-connect the looped gas
supply hose into the air filter .
5. Examine the looped gas supply hose.
Make sure of the following:
The hose is fully inserted into the air filter and the solenoid valve.
The bottom of the loop is on the plastic shelf .
The hose is not kinked.
If the gas supply hose is kinked, the integrity of the hose is compromised.
Discard and replace the gas supply hose.
6. Push the front and rear panel assemblies until they move into position with a click.
Make sure that none of the wires are pinched as the panels are attached.
7. Make sure that the ground clip
is connected to the ground
wire.
8. Put the ground clip into position
to align with the screw from the
handle.
Make sure that the
ground clip is put on
correctly. The ground
wire should not be
above the ground clip.
