Knowledge of how an inverter works and is operated
Knowledge of all applicable standards and directives, including country-specific grid

Knowledge and training in the installation and commissioning of electrical devices, especially
those associated with PV systems

PRODUCT INSPECTION
Introduction
Hypon WiFi Dongle is the latest generation of WiFi collector developed by Hypontech to realize
data collection, data upload, remote upgrade and parameter modification of PV inverters. The
device adopts a dedicated IoT communication chip to ensure the stability and security of device
data. WiFi supports 802.11b/g/n standard with speed up to 150Mbps. the collector is equipped
with Bluetooth V4.2 full standard, including traditional Bluetooth (BR/EDR) and low power
Bluetooth (BLE), which can be used by users to view device data using APP. The device supports
remote firmware upgrades that can be continued after the product is released, making it easy to
maintain the product.
The collector is designed with plug-and-play hardware for easy and convenient installation. The
device uses high quality outdoor materials, its UV protection level reaches F1, flame retardant
level reaches UL94 V-0, and also has IP65 protection level, which can be used directly outdoors.

Physical Installation
1. Insert the Dongle vertically to the socket on the inverter with the front side facing the user;
(please refer to the corresponding manual of the inverter for the specific port)
2. Tighten the nut.
LED Indicator
1. Inverter is commissioned. LED shows RED, indicates the dongle is initializing.
2. Once the dongle is successfully connected to server, LED will show solid GREEN, indicates the
dongle is working.

Hypon.Cloud is a cloud-based PV power plant monitoring system established by Hypontech.
Please search for Hypon.Cloud on iOS App Store or Google Play and other app stores for Android
phones.
Hypon.Cloud is not officially released. Please contact Sales Engineer for access to
Hypon.Cloud.
Connecting Procedure
1. Register and Login

Register Login
Open the App, tap on sign up, fill in
required info.
Key in account and password, tick on the
box to agree with Terms and Conditions,
Privacy Policy. Tap on login.
2. Search and add device
Attention
Please keep bluetooth function on.

Or Tap On the Serial Number on the list, and key in the key printed on the label of the
dongle

Once successfully paired, you can see serial number of the inverter and wifi connection

Configure Internet
WiFi Hotspots in the environment will be
listed.
Key in the WiFi password to connect
Once the internet configuration finished and LED indicator turns green, the dongle is connecting
to the Internet.
Attention
If the LED indicator shows RED after all the operation described above, it may indicates the
WiFi signal connected is not working.
If the LED indicator shows GREEN, but blinking, it indicates the dongle is connected to the
WiFi but still trying to connect to the server. It is advised to switch to a better signal.
